This isn't an official review, because I've only flipped through this book and read a little here and there, but this looks like an excellent book. I love that the author has put together a book of recipes from all around the world that are geared towards children. I think it's so important to expose kids to all kinds of food, even if they don't end up liking it! I also like that before each recipe there is a little bit about each country, shows where on the globe the country is located, and has plenty of great pictures. This is a wonderful resource for learning about food from all over the world and would greatly supplement a homeschool curriculum.

Countries featured: Russia, Brazil, United States (soul food), China, New Zealand, India, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, Morocco, Colombia, Somalia, Spain, Philippines, Iran, Australia, United Kingdom, Ghana, Greece, & Jamaica.

One World Kids Cook Book by Sean Mendez is a well put together, thoughtful collection of facts, food anecdotes and of course recipies!

The photos of the countries are beautiful so this does double up as a photography book. Some really useful tips in cooking with kiddies like "make them read out the instructions out load so they practice their reading skills".

I enjoyed cooking the recipies with my step-son and daughter, our favourite so far being the fajitas. Useful tips like "dont overcook the peppers to they stay crunchy" are useful as I normally cook until very soft and we enjoyed the extra texture.

Would have loved there to be a recipie on Canada but maybe next time!

Will be clearing out my books soon and giving plenty to a charity shop, this will NOT be one of them!

Milo made Sweet and Tangy Chilli Beef Salad for a potluck at our house and it was very good despite a terrible mango. Good instructions, great process photos showing the kids doing the cooking. Although This is the book that showed me you can either light food or you can light people - if food and a person are both going to be in a shot, one of them is going to look terrible.
