The concept of this book was good; the execution was dreadful. Plagued by awkward and unrealistic dialogue, a heroine TSTL, and disruptive POV changes this charming story never had a chance. To top it off the end isn't really an end, not that you cared because everything was resolved before it, but tacked on so that the protagonists' relationship has closure and frankly, is slightly creepy.

A needed vacation for Terry, her beloved dog has died, and being a vet, would be hard to be around other. Her ex has a gambling problem, but still has her number. She had theraphy of how to distance herself from him. Wanting to take control of her life. Picking up the last pictures of her dog, was not what she wanted. There was a mistake and someone is desperate to kill to get them.
Bounty hunter Ross is after a hit guy, and he is after Terri. Knowing she is an innocent pawn. How to protect her, and still get the hit guy, makes an enjoyable read.

From the moment I read the sample, I was hooked on Regina Duke's quick, smart read that boasts likable characters and a believable romantic suspense plot.

I particularly enjoyed the way, just as I saw something coming, Terri and Russ would see it too and react in sensible and intelligent ways. No walking into stupid traps! No silly misunderstandings that hung around causing trumped-up trauma!

Terri's conflict over how to deal with her creepy ex-boyfriend rang true, giving real depth to her character and fitting nicely with her determination to take control of her own life. Russ's noble/reluctant/not-all-that-reluctant maneuvering to stick close to Terri and protect her was charming and added a nicely comic touch

Yet another lovely read!
Terri is on the way to a holiday break and inadvertently gets herself tied up in something of a heist over a container that is missing. Enter the lovely Russ Cammino a hunky good looking bail bond bounty hunter. What starts as a misunderstanding when Terri is handed the wrong envelope of photos plays out with car chases, mysterious accidents happening and some falling in love.

Forgive the dirty-sounding title; it's a good story!

I don't typically read romance novels that often, so I was not expecting much from this book. Honestly, I singled it out because the protagonist is a vet tech, the same career as mine. She's on vacation, so there are only a few snippets of work-related moments. It's a fun read, with lots of action, suspense, and humor. If you like Janet Evanovich, you'll like this book!

Great Book

This is a very good book with an excellent story line and wonderful characters. It's the kind I like where the good guys are good and the bad are bad. The ending is wow.

There wasn't a real ending. I'm not sure if this story continues in another book, I have no desire to find out.

The heroine keeps making stupid choices that are never justified and yet I still enjoyed the book.
