GOD! This textbook is a discovery! It's not like other average/academic textbooks, it's a very practical and time-saving and to the point.
The chapter discusses most topics that a typical Operations research book does, but this book has awesome examples, and the spreadsheet use is extensive and in every chapter.
For a text book it was good. I found it more interesting than most that I have had over the last few years. It was understandable. Whether this is due to the fact I am more familiar with the subject matter, more comfortable with the mathematics involved, or the authors clarity in getting the subject across to students, I don't know. I actually enjoyed the class and this text was a huge part of that class.
I used this text for school and found it explained concepts well and provided detailed examples. The book was laid out so you could first figure out an example for yourself, then walk through it step-by-step with their instructions. Also both manual and programmatic solutions were provided, with a lot of guidance for using Excel.
