About the author

Patricia H. Rushford, an award winning author and speaker, has extensive experience in writing and has authored over sixty books, both fiction and non-fiction. In addition to having a nursing degree and masters in counseling, she is also an artist and quilter.

The Jennie McGrady Mysteries for young adults have sold well over 500,000 copies. Silent Witness won the Silver Angel Award for Excellence in Media and was nominated for an Edgar Allen Poe Award by Mystery Writers of America. She also wrote the Max & Me Mysteries for middle grade.

The last few books from the Jennie series have been a step above from her earlier amateur status. This story involves a plane crash and a strange cult-like religious campground. There was a lot of discussion about Christianity in this book compared to the others in the series. It definitely seemed as though Jennie was a more mature detective in this book.

I'm so sad that I only have 1 more book in this fun mystery series.

This was a quick read and I did enjoy it. The “mystery” seemed a bit more predictable than usual. Jennie was still calm and collected, but she did come across as more of a teenager in this one.

Very good, but how is somebody who is supposed to be so sharp, so dumb? If I had a $5 bill for every time Jennie opened her big mouth and gave something away; I could stop playing the lottery. KEEP YOUR BIG MOUTH SHUT! STOP LETTING ON THAT YOU KNOW THINGS! STOP BEING SO ARGUMENTIVE AND PLAY IT COOL! STOP BEING SO STOOOOPID! UGH!
