Fated Mates

Rate this book
We know that we are no longer alone in the universe. Descendants of Earthly ancestors have returned to find the other halves of themselves, their destined mates.

Dragon, a scarred Serralian warrior drawn to the planet of his ancestors, never believed the Goddess had a mate for him but no matter what he believes, he’s unable to resist the pull of the planet deep within in soul.

Liz, a curvy teacher who escaped an abusive marriage three years earlier is afraid to take another chance on love. Tired of being a
bystander in her own love life, she participates in an ancient ritual to identify Serralian mates. Taking that chance changes her life forever. Can these two people overcome their pasts to become each other’s true Fated Mates?

What a great story. Not only does it have awesome, steamy sex scenes, which I require in my erotic romance, but there was also that sweet element. I ached for both Dragon and Liz, wishing they could get their happily ever after immediatly.

And let me just say, I wish we had some Sacred Stones in my back yard because if what happened to Liz would happen to me when I visited them...wow, I'd be a daily guest!

My favorite line: "All you can think about right now is teaching! F#$k teaching, Liz! How about being mated to a huge mountain of a man whose c%#k is the biggest one you’veever seen? It would make your Rabbit look like a pencil pecker.”

LOVE IT!

I had read this book a while ago and forgot to add it to my 'read' shelf.

Nice read that was short but good. Loved the potential here for a series. I'll be looking into more - if there is one which I do hope happens.

Love From The Sky

Review written by Kathleen for Love of Romance Book Reviews

Dragon a military man and hero to his people, fears the Goddess has forgotten him and he is destined to a life of service alone. Liz is a human female who has survived an abusive marriage by finding the strength to leave but, is now afraid to embrace another chance at love. The attraction of trying to find a Fated Mate. Can Liz take another leap at love? Can Dragon truly believe he deserves a mate of his own?

This is a feel good story with the added bonus of sizzling sex! Liz is a strong character who you have to love her will to survive and her strength at leaving a relationship that was detrimental to her. I found myself wanting to encourage her to give in and take a chance as she struggled with herself to take another gamble on love. Dragon is also a strong character but endearing in his doubt of his appeal for a mate.

I really enjoyed this read. There are a few spelling errors but they do not detract from the story. If you are looking for an easy short read with a HEA then this book is for you.

This is my first book from this author and I loved this story! I loved Dragon a real warrior but a real softy towards his mate Liz. Liz was a little lost in life and lonely until her alien fated mate came into her life. They had lots of chemistry and made a loving couple. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of this authors books!

For an extremely short story this was very hot and although the part with the stones and the temple was well over done the rest was actually quite good, especially if you're just after a quick spicy read.

My Review: I have really enjoyed all of Dufour's books so far and have had this one waiting on my shelf for a couple of years now so I am glad I finally got a chance to pick it up. It does feel like a book in a series, like maybe there should have been a prequel novel, but that doesn't take away from the story. The alien war is a bit confusing, we don't learn a whole lot about it but let's admit that we aren't here for a full space opera, we are here for an extra-terrestrial romance and that is what we got. It was a fast paced story with some action and danger as well as some romance. I really enjoyed the way the characters grew closer as the story progressed. I also love the mindset of Serralian's when it comes to their mates. It was just what I was looking for at the time of picking it up and I really hope we get more, I wouldn't mind a series ;)

I have been reading a few sci-fi romances, and this one hooked me right from the start. I loved the writing, the story line, and the level of steam, which definitely made me want more. There were sweet moments in which I had empathy for Dragon and Liz, hoping they would get their happy every afer.

Very well written. Familar premise of aliens and finding mates on earth but interesting twist with the EOC...i really liked Dragon. Could have read a lot more of this story line so biggest downside is that it wasnt long enough.

DNF because of the very disjointed writing. The characters jump from one emotion to the next so fast I have whiplash.

A bit too fast for the amount of world building that went on. Not sure I'll pick up the next in the series. I was hoping for so much more. The sex is a bit repetitive... you can only read about her "juices soaking her panties" so many times in a novella.
