Although the club is a “legal” sex club where anything is sold, the rumor cannot be ignored, and it is up to the Detective to get to the bottom of it, even if it means making a deal with the devil, Cade Vanderoth, himself. Lina isn’t a prude, but what she sees going on has her blushing for control. Cade is a man married to his business, he has seen and done it all and is in disbelief that his club is accused of something so sinister.

T.A. Grey, is a great author. I had to take a break from another series I was reading since it got boring, I know T.A. will pep things up for me once again!! With her sexy doms and strong herione/subs. who don't know they are subs... but need to be subbed lol... they need a spanking,, and need to be subbed out.... 'turned out'in the garden of midnight sex and evil lol...

Detective Lina Blackmoore comes in to The Midnight Sex Club to investigate a rumor about child pornography. There's immediate attraction between her and the owner, Cade Vanderoth, and he agrees to let her snoop, for a price (he wants her).

Surrounded by the sexual energy at the club, it's not long until Lina succumbs to Cade's seduction. And she begins falling for him.

Then she runs into the criminal, and gets kidnapped, and almost dies, leaving Cade distraught. But she makes it, and they decide to try building a relationship on their attraction.


This was too much bad porn, and to little story. There was also too much insta-love for my liking. Lina forgot she was a detective and gave in to her urges to easily.

Something positive... it didn't end on a cliffhanger (hate those).

While Lina tries to solve the case, she begins to falling in love with Cade.

It's an erotic steamy read and I liked the characters very much.

✰✰✰½ - This was rec'd to me - and it was a hot little number. Detective Lina Blackmoore is sent to investigate the Midnight Sex Shop because somebody had called in an anonymous tip about selling underage girls for sex. She feels naughty chemistry with owner Cade Vanderoth from the moment she meets him and it appears to be reciprocated.

They make a sexy deal that he accompanies on her club investigation and she finds her inhibitions and fantasies coming true. This was only 88 pages but it smokin'. My only complaint is that it needed more editing, enough that I was correcting as I went along.

Woulda been 4 with better editing.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! one of my favorites from this author. These two are........well, oh my just about covers it Lol. Lina is a total badass with a sweet vulnerability about her (just don't tell her that, she'll totally kick ur ass) and Cade is a total hott as hell, melt u to the core, alpha badass with a hidden sweet side. Add a mystery, action, suspense, a surprise villain & a healthy dose of kink and we have one helluva book!!

I found “Midnight Sex Shop” by T. A. Grey on Amazon for FREE! I was browsing through Amazon looking for some interesting new “Fantasy” books. I was actually looking for something along the lines of dragons, warlocks, wizards and such. The first book that led me to Ms. Grey was, “Take Me.” Since then I’ve been hooked on her books.
With “Midnight Sex Shop,” I basically had a sneaking suspicion about what this book was going to be about. Let’s just say I was right, but also, oh so wrong. This is a short book, 97 pages. I won’t be able to go into much detail as I normally like. So, I’ll just give you a quick summary.

Detective Lina Blackmore is investigating a tip that came in regarding the Midnight Sex Shop. Having ill feelings towards this place and the people that solicit such venues, she is hoping that she can get in and out. Maybe she can convince her Captain that she needs to be taken off the case.
Needing to speak to the owner Cade Vanderoth about the suspected crime, she isn’t prepared for what is about to take place. Mr. Vanderoth is the perfect specimen of a male. He’s tall, well dressed, beautiful eyes, lightly tanned, and smells great. The meeting that she has with him brings sensations that she didn’t know were deeply rooted in her. She knows that this is only going to lead to a distraction in her work on this case.

I can just say this book brings out a side of the Detective that she isn’t prepared for. The way Ms. Grey approaches the subject of voyeurism and multiple partners is done in a tasteful but also exciting way. The fantasy of having someone watch or the chance of being seen can strike up the excitement factor for many. Especially in an environment that is already oozing with overactive libido’s and emotions.
I have become a fan of Ms. Grey’s work. After reading “Take Me,” I was drawn to her writings. First, she has these amazing covers. I’ll admit it was the cover that had drawn me to her first book. I know you’re not suppose to judge a book by its cover, but when a man is standing there with that come hither look, well, you just come hither!
Second, I have read a couple erotica books. I’m not into the wham-bam-thank you-ma’am, type of stuff. With Ms. Grey’s books, you get an actual story that is just well laced with the sex. Her stories are capable of being read without the sex, but then why would you want to?
Finally, the way she handles the sex scenes is done in a tasteful manner. She doesn’t leave you feeling ashamed or dirty after reading her books. The sex is done in a manner that is hot and steamy, but also with a drizzle of fantasy. Something that I believe every woman would sometimes love from time to time.
In all, I can’t wait to read the rest of her stories. I’ve become a huge fan of Ms. Grey. Because of her, I’m more willing to read more of the erotic romances. Thanks for the great introduction into a genre that I was afraid of reading.

Lina may be a detective, but she most certainly is all woman. And as a woman she discovers her weaknesses to her surroundings. Of course trying to work a case in a club that caters to just about any sexual fantasy you can come up with and doing it under the escort of the delectable owner might be considered more of a strength than a weakness.

Cade owns the club Lina is investigating, and although he wants to get to the bottom of the accusations he wants to put her on bottom even more. There’s something about her that turns him inside out and his unwaning desire is new territory for him and all he knows to do is to seduce her into giving him what he wants.

Their interactions are intense, straightforward, and sexy as hell.

The club descriptions left nothing to the imagination, which in this book was probably a good thing. I wished I could have seen my facial expressions as I read certain parts because they were on a rollercoaster between huh? - are you freaking kidding me?- and – holy cow!

My Favorite Quote: “This Lina is where I’d tie you down, blindfold you and take you. Every touch will feel stronger, more potent than usual, and then when I finally enter you, you’ll be asking yourself....” I love the rest of what Cade says as well, but it’s a full paragraph long and I wouldn’t want to take away the surprise.

My Favorite Part: When Lina is playing out in her head how the discussion would go introducing Cade to her mother. That was just plain funny!

Yes, I should have known by the title of the book that the plot would be weak..
but I read it anyway.

The main female lead, Detective Lina Blackmoore, is a stupid nasty azz.
She stated that the club had a strict Condom Policy to protect people from diseases
and yet She still takes some stranger in her mouth without one.

Next, one minute, she states that she is a jealous person and that she loves Cade
Then the VERY next scene she is setting up a three way with the very man that
she just said that she loves and is jealous about. WTF?
Cade told her that he does not sleep with his employees
and yet again, she still initiates the threesome "Insisting" that it is His fantasy,
but the reader quickly realizes that it is Her fantasy especially after
she jumps into of the situation with so much gusto!

I didn't like the story and did not like the characters.
The author should / could have put a little more thought and effort into of the story line and
omitted a couple of scenes, in my opinion.. in other words, it just wasn't my type of book.

Lina is sent to investigate a anonymous tip that the club is selling underage girls for sex. Where she meets the clubs owner Cade Vanderoth, a sexy, powerful, workaholic man, which surprised Lina how attractive he was... Lina had to convince Cade to give her access the clubs employees and investigate the club. So Cade proposes a seduction. He strikes up a bargain to let Lina access to the club during business hours to investigate. Cade's terms are Lina is the only cop allowed in the club to investigate, he will be with Lina the whole time, and he will allow her to keep her gun. Cade shows Lina around the club and seduces her while checking out all the private rooms the club has to offer.
Looking for a quick HoTT steamy read... You will Love this book..

This story was just okay for me.

I found the characters actions to be contradictory to their professions, so was unable to lose myself in the story. Everytime Lina did something stupid my brain was screaming she is a cop, what kind of cop would do that! Before we knew it her and Cade, the club owner, had hooked up and he broke his number one rule - always use a condom.....not sure why that didn't apply when screwing a cop?

Oh there was a murder someone in there as well, but that was so flippant it was quickly forgotten.

Towards the end of the story there is a very steamy menage scene that included FMF and FF action, while it could have been very sexy again it was a contradiction. Lina set it up and then states....I don't know what to do, huh?

Well, I generally enjoyed this book. Usually, I enjoy great love stories AND hot, explicit sex scenes...This read luke-warm on both counts for me. Character development is key. Other than the fact that the two main characters were hot and horny, I really found very little depth in their encounters that would make her fall in love with him and for him to foresake other women & commit to her...

I noticed several inconsistencies, which drive me nuts! When the author describes "Sara", for instance, on one page Sara's eyes are described as the gorgeous blue of a deep ocean (or some crap like that)- and on the VERY next page, Sara's physical description comes to a close with a description of how the colors of her eye shadow did such a nice job of complimenting her BROWN eyes!?! Just sayin...

This book was smoking hot. Did not really feel the story line "flowed" and the main characters irritated me. I am not really sure what kind of cop would allow and not pick up on some of the obvious cues in the story but apparently she did but did not go the extra step a good cop would...kind of odd in that aspect fot me. She goes from being a semi innocent cop to an all out fast sexual exhibitionist....not very believable for me. I understand getting carried away in the heat of the moment but not to the extent she does and not when you are cop on duty. He was fine but the whole take what I want one minute but then leave it the next did not really work for me. But the main characters do have a lot of chemistry so I did give it 4 stars.

For a short story that is full of guilty pleasure then this one fits the bill. T. A. Grey is a wonderful author and her paranormal romances should also be checked out.

This short story packs quite a punch with its storyline - it is hot, there is a mystery, there is a steamy alpha male lead and I really don't care if the actual story is improbable!! I read for escapism mainly and this was a very hot escape indeed.

If you want half an hour of unadulterated eroticism with a tinge of mystery then why not give this one a go?

Detective Lina is investigating an anonymous tips about underaged girls being exploited at the infamous sex club Midnight Sex Shop.
The only way the owner Cade agrees to let her continue her questioning is if she lets him accompany her, and not say no right away to his suggestions. It doesn´t take long for the voyeuristic and sensual setting to get to her, not to mention Cade´s come on´s.
Lots of smutty fluff (hello, sex club?) and naughty combinations.

This is one hot little novella! That being said I've gotta hold true to myself and not rate this a 5* just because of the heat and steam. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of that and yes it is good, but because this is a novella everything was just rushed. Even though there was a story here. If this were a full length novel it would be a 4.5 star read for me that's or sure. I'd like more from these two.
