This book contains a collection of information about Rosa Parks, including high quality photos and many informative details about her life. I would say this book is ideal for use in 2nd-3rd grade, learning to work with text features, or in a social studies unit studying leaders of the Civil Rights movement. The large print is helpful for younger readers, but the way the information is presented, it could also be helpful to use with slightly older readers (around 4th grade) with struggling readers that still need to master various informational text concepts, or practicing gathering information.

This is a great book. It was interesting, educational, and full of pictures. This is great addition to anyone's library. I learned a lot about Rosa Parks and the Civil Rights movement. This book keeps your interest and is an easy read. Great for multicultural education at any age really. If you had this book in your classroom you could have it as an independent read, or you could read it to the class. Either way the students would learn a lot about this inspirational Civil Rights Activist.

This book is very well written. This book would either be a read-aloud for younger students or a chapter book for older students. The book goes through Rosa Parks' life from beginning to end. It also highlights other important events that happened around or at the same time as what she did. The book even talks about what she did later in her life that helped her community. This book would be awesome for lesson on Civil Rights or Rosa Parks.
