I really enjoyed the first two thirds of this book very much. The characters were so different and the world building was fantastic. The Orc society was explained well. They are fierce warriors with simplistic views on whether someone is fit to continue to live or not. They are very loyal to those who have proven themselves whether in battle or just strength of character. The Mother's were a force to be reckoned with and were rather funny. A good fantasy-M/M romance novel with an interesting plot, good world building and unusual characters. Additionally, there is the the possibility of it being the start of a series. The possibility occurred to me as I feel the novel is not quite complete - the bulk of the story was concluded but there were a few threads left hanging. It also needs to be said that while this is a M/M romance, there is a definite leaning towards it becoming a MMF novel by the end, although the novel finish
