In order to support Prince Leo, Chris agrees to officially take his hand in marriage. But the other nobles are not fans of the union, and to mollify them Chris gets sent to a boarding school to become more “ladylike.” Unfortunately for her, her fellow classmates are young ladies intent on marrying the prince themselves! Chris might be hot stuff on the battlefield, but is she prepared for this kind of warfare?!
I enjoyed this second volume, though not as much as the first. Some of the sexual references made me a little uncomfortable (although nothing explicit was shown or even happened, which was good, and it was the villains who made the references), and I didn’t like the fact that God’s name was taken in vain as a Christian, even if it only happened once.
However, I enjoyed the end–how the three bully girls learned their lessons and actually went to redeem themselves, helped Chris out, and treated their knights with the dignity they deserved. And their reactions to finding out Leo and “Chris’s knight” were one and the same was hilarious.
I’ll probably try the next book in the series and hope it has a little less negative content than this one since I do love the concept and the characters of Leo and Chris.
There was so much going on in this volume that I feel a little bit blindsided. It's like they took several volumes worth of content, took out any of the fluff filler or breathing, and condensed it down into just non-stop action. I found it truly hard to catch my breath and keep up with the plot at the same time... But not really in a good way? Other than that, I liked the story in the concept and the developments. Most of all I like the main two characters, our couple. I just wish the writer would take their time and spread the story out a little bit. They could have really developed the relationships between the students and got a lot more substance. Overall the effect just felt very hurried. Still, worth reading.
Its a little ridiculous the attempt on his and her well being in this volume but its kind of fun too cause it feels so over the top. But I like our couple they are cute and he is a great devoted ML. Chris you are so lucky you deserve all that Leo is giving you. I like the art too, we had a lot of new characters in this volume that may make later appearances but it was easy to tell them all apart.
I will admit the pacing is pretty whacky, but there were so many things in here that don’t tend to happen in other manga, I’ll forgive it, aha. The male lead’s tragic human experimentation backstory? The heroine jumping in shouting “you want to know who’s strongest? It’s me!” I had a lot of fun with this volume!

In the first volume, the heinous crimes that the stepmother commits didn’t feel as wrong as the crimes committed in this volume. Assassination is one thing but mind control to act out your evil wishes just feels wrong….

this second volume the story became a lot more generic, the first volume seemed like they where doing something slightly different with this genre. Very disappointed will not be continuing with the series.
It was good, but the whole lipstick and blood scent thing was really odd. And why is there a weird scientist, I felt it didn’t really suit the story? The plot is bizarre here and the main couple is getting kind of boring.
I’m starting to like this series a little more. I like vol 2 more than vol 1 so it gets 4 stars now. It had cuter moments and the romance is growing more. So I’m going to start vol 3 and see how we move along with it.

2/24 Wasn't that impressed with Volume 1, and in this one she goes to school: so overdone, and I'm just not interested in watching her get bullied. Hard pass.
This volume was all the title story, and still lots of fun. It feels very fast paced, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. But overall it's still been an enjoyable story.
This is a very sweet series. I don’t love that the prince keeps saving her since she’s supposed to be his royal guard but it’s adorable how much he likes her!
