Some see the iPad as an entertainment device meant for watching movies, looking at pictures, and playing games. It's great for idle time on the couch but it has no place on a business person's desk. That is flat-out wrong. Here, author Dave Caolo reveals why the iPad is the business machine you've always wanted. First task is to subdue unruly email. You say you've got multiple accounts, including Microsoft Exchange and Gmail, in addition to Apple's own MobileMe? No problem. The iPad handles those and more. Stay on top of appointments with a powerful calendar application that isn't limited to Apple's own iCal. Most of us must give occasional slideshow presentations. Caolo shows you how to manage that entire process, from drawing the first slide to connecting to a TV or projector, with your iPad alone. Topics also covered include working with spreadsheet solutions from Apple and others, consider what happened to those missing apps (and discover fantastic alternatives for each), and finally explore the best tips and tricks you can find.
We've recently started using iPads at work and this free kindle book caught my eye this morning. It was a very quick read and had some great input on specific apps and how to use them in a business context. The best part is a 2 page tips and tricks at the end that I will definitely be sharing with my co-workers when I go back to work on Wednesday. If you want to know more about ways to use your iPad for business get this kindle book while it's free... I definitely wouldn't pay for this advice.
I did get some ideas out of this, but for the most part I knew what was in this book. I did get some ideas for apps that I need to get that would make using the iPad better.
