You are hereby invited to the wedding of the century. Yes, you got it, Tom and Wren are getting married this Christmas.
Drama. Sparkles. Well intentioned, but meddling friends. Surprise pregnancies. This wedding is set to have it all, including a brand new couple who is well overdue for their Happy Ever After.
How to Catch a Happy Ever After is the final book in the Chester Falls series. Told from multiple points of view, this book is not a standalone, but better enjoyed after previous books in the series.

How to Catch a Happy Ever After was everything. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been a super fan of Ana Ashley’s Chester Falls series since I first laid my hands on How to Catch a Prince. And I’ve gladly been following the journey of all these amazing guys, amazing characters falling in love.
This is a gift for fans of the series. You get to meet all the characters, and I mean all the characters again. You get to see them living their lives, being happily in love. And you get to follow Rory and Sergei as they finally, finally gets their own happy ever after.
It’s kind of bittersweet though. Knowing that this is the end of the series. A series that I have been truly invested in for quite some time now, but it couldn’t have ended in a better way. It really couldn’t have.
3 and 1/2 stars rounded up to 4 because if I’d read this when I finished all the other books I know I would have enjoyed it more. I loved all the Chester Falls books. It’s one of my favorite series. I read so many books and it has been 3 years since I finished the last one. So that’s my excuse.
I have to admit this book still had some incredible moments. The short vignettes staring each couple were sometimes so moving they brought me to tears even when I couldn’t completely remember their story. It just show Ana is an excellent author. I recommend the entire series be read one after another to really enjoy them.
An excellent end to this series A book of multiple “voices” that ends with the amazing wedding of Tom (Tom…my favorite character from them all) and Wren and in the meantime, we meet a new couple, Rory and Sergei, who after a few ups and downs finally have their happy ever after. The wedding is so perfect and so Tom…all glitter and rainbows. Amazing. I loved it and just have one thing to say more, that bachelor party... hilarious I’m gonna miss those guys and Chester Falls I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book
Grazie!! 😘 💖💖💖💖💖💋
I want to re-iterate that How to Catch a Happy Ever After is the seventh and final book in the Chester Falls series by Ana Ashley. This book is not a standalone. This book is written in multiple POV's featuring all of the characters from each of the previous books. And that in a nutshell is what makes it so special...
It's like a giant family reunion wrapped in a hug, wrapped in new beginnings... but you'll have an ache in your heart knowing this is the end of the series - until you start at the beginning and re-read it all over again! This book will tug at all the feels and make you wish you could experience Chester Falls with new eyes all over again... If you haven't visited Chester Falls yet, may I suggest adding How To Catch a Prince to your TBR immediately... it's a delicious fake dating, secret prince, small town romance that will make you crave more from Chester Falls and have you binging all 7 books and two novellas... until you agree with me that How To Catch a Prince is a beautiful ending, but that is sad that it's ended.
*** ARC review *** The town of Chester Falls made me fall in love with it from the very first book. It was a slippery slope into an everlasting adoration of all the beautiful characters Ana Ashley created. How to Catch a Happy Ever After is the final note in a beautiful song of love, friendships, hurt and a found family unlike any other. The story fits all the characters to an amazing degree, with laughs, cries and sighs of contentment as each couple of the series gets their happy life and new challenges. It’s extremely bitter sweet to say goodbye, because while the series truly feels complete and perfect with this last foray, I can't help but want more! And a bit more still.
The book is not a standalone and does require knowledge of the series, but if you didn't read the books, fo yourself a favor and grab the first one ASAP (You can thank me later), and if you did? There is no way not to read this book. It’s an absolute must and such an integral part of the stories! You’ll love every single word. I will surely be reading the whole series again. Multiple times. Oh and #TeamTomForever
How to Catch a Happy Ever After is the seventh and last book in the Chester Falls serie by Ana Ashley.
This book is not a standalone. This book is written in multiple pov's from multiple characters from the other books.
I fell in love with this town from the first book I read and this book was the great ending this amazing series deserved. This book was sweet, full of feels and very well written. If you haven't started this series yet what is holding you back? Start reading!!
I loved How to Catch a Happily Ever After so much. It was the perfect way to wrap up all of the guys and how they were doing since we read each of their books and fell in love with them. I loved Tom and Wren's wedding. Tom is still my favorite character out of them all. He makes me happy. I'm going to miss these guys, but what a great way to close out a series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Tom and Wren are getting married, which brings all the boys back to Chester Falls! Every couple from the series gets a snippet of their life revealed in this glorious seventh book of the series, narrated by the majority of the main characters from all the previous books and short stories! A new couple gets to share their story too, with Rory and Sergei having their moments in-between all the wedding chaos!
I absolutely loved this collection of characters and how we got to see all of their HEAs in this story. I absolutely will be listening to this series on repeat, as it’s such a funny and feel-good collection of stories!!
Also massive kudos to Nick Hudson and his narration, and how he so expertly managed to give each character their own distinct voice throughout the series!
Ana, if you see this and if you’re planning more stories in this series at any point in time, I’d love to hear Blubble’s story!!!
*3.5 stars* How to Catch a Happy Ever After is the seventh and final book in Ana Ashley’s Chester Falls series. The eight previous books (six full-length novels and two novellas, How to Catch a Bookworm and How to Catch the Boss) all feature a charming small-town romance between two endearing men, usually in an unexpected pairing. Those eight couples form an eclectic, beautiful found-family that is the centerpiece of How to Catch a Happy Ever After. It’s a diverse group including royalty (Kris from How to Catch a Prince), macho bodyguards (like James from How to Catch a Bodyguard and Ryan from How to Catch the Boss), a veterinarian (Micah from How to Catch a Vet), and lots of colorful, super-creative types like a famous romance writer (Aiden from How to Catch a Biker), an interior decorator (Tristan from How to Catch a Bookworm), an artist (Charlie from How to Catch a Prince), a baker (Indy from How to Catch a Bachelor), and of course, the fabulous designer, Tom (from How to Catch a Rival). Tom and Wren’s upcoming wedding provides the loose framework for How to Catch a Happy Ever After, but it also features the romance of a new couple, Rory (Connor’s best friend and Charlie’s ex-boyfriend) and Sergei (Kris’s ex-boyfriend and now chief of security for Kris’ sister, the Queen of Lydovia).
Yes, there are a LOT of characters and even more interconnections between them. If you are one of those people who likes to reread a series before reading the newest release in it, that will serve you well here. If you aren’t one of those people, you may want to become a convert, at least for Chester Falls. How to Catch a Happy Ever After is most definitely not a standalone.
But even if you’ve read every book in this series, as I had, you may still struggle if it’s been a while since you read the previous books. Ms. Ashley clearly expects the reader to remember the earlier couples, their backstories, and how the characters are related to or connected with each other. I suspect she may have overestimated, though, because even if you remember the individual couples, the interconnections between them are extensive and somewhat convoluted. Some are brothers, others are ex-boyfriends or best friends, and a number of them work as security for Kris in Lydovia, although they all seem to have connections back to Chester Falls as well. This information was not top of mind, and the memory searching while reading distracted me from the story. To be fair, I suspect that if I had refreshed my memory by rereading the other books before reading How to Catch a Happy Ever After, I would have found it less headache-inducing and overarchingly enjoyable.
How to Catch a Happy Ever After doesn’t present a plot, per se. It presents context – Tom and Wren’s wedding – for a reunion of these couples. That’s because, at heart, it really is just an extended epilogue, showing us the lives of the Chester Falls men after their HEAs.
As such, Rory and Sergei’s romance didn’t add anything to the mix, in my opinion. If anything, it muddied the waters. Their romance would have worked better as its own story. There certainly was material to work with. But, as it was, there wasn’t enough time for us to get to know them or for any chemistry to develop between them. They fell for each other ridiculously fast and because the romance was interwoven with so many other couples, it didn’t have the time and space to develop.
The Chester Falls series has provided many hours of enjoyable reading, so this final installment held a great deal of promise. I certainly loved seeing all of the couples again, but How to Catch a Happy Ever After as a whole fell short for me. There was no overarching plot, which may have been part of the problem. Many different things happened, yet nothing cohesive happened. I felt like I was looking in through windows of an apartment building, each one showing a glimpse of one of the couples, but nothing specific or meaningful. We didn’t get much time with any of them, so I felt like we were just checking in to verify that our guys were still happy together.
Interestingly, what resonated for me in this story was Ms. Ashley’s clear ambivalence, perhaps even reluctance, over letting these men go. Like a mother watching her children grow up and then go off into the world, that bittersweet feeling came through in her words. It’s quite unusual for author’s connection to her fictional characters to be presented so evidently. It’s actually quite sweet to see her commitment to her Chester Falls men and their stories.
Overall, How to Catch a Happy Ever After is a heartwarming, fluffy, no angst story. Refresh on the prior books before reading, and you’ll likely enjoy and appreciate the snapshots into all of the HEAs for our Chester Falls men. Originally published on LoveBytesReviews.com
I read this several months ago, but I'm only now playing catch-up with my reviews.
If you've not read the others in this series, don't read this book. There are over a dozen different points-of-views of various characters from the other books.
This was Rory and Sergei's story but thankfully it was for everybody else as well. Why thankfully? Because I totally despised both Rory and Sergei in the others. Especially Rory. I seriously could not stand the guy.
This is also all about Wren and Tom getting married. They got their HEA in How to Catch a Rival so I admit that I wasn't overly thrilled to see them have drama in How to Catch a Happy Ever After. While it was minor enough, I suppose, there was still that constant wondering of when the next shoe would drop.
One of my biggest pet peeves (*cough* J.R. Ward) is throwing out drama later after a couple has already found their HEA.
Even so, this was good enough. It pretty much tied up most of the loose ends from the previous books.
It's been a nice series. I'm glad I was finally able to finish it.

How To Catch A Happily Ever After by Ana Ashley is the author’s Chester Falls series finale and ties up loose ends for all the series couples.
While there’s one overall story, it really feels more like a series of connected anecdotes or narratives about every couple in the series. It brings the reader up to date with their current situations as each small couple capsule weaves in and out of Tom and Wren’s wedding. There’s also a homecoming and new yet returning relationship to pickup on.
This is a book for those fans of this series only. If you have no idea who these people are, their histories, connecting relationships, then you’re going to be absolutely lost. Ashley is making sure her couples get the send off she wants for each one and that leaves no room for anything but the wedding, filling in the reader on any new major happenings for each couple and the new HEA dynamic.
If you have been following Chester Falls and loving this series, then this is a grand way to say goodbye.
If you’re new to the series, skip this and head to the first story written. Take it from there.
I really enjoyed my time in Chester Falls. Lovely contemporary romances, ending here. Check them out. Recommended
Uh! My heart! It was so full after reading this book. Ana really did a wonderful job in not only wrapping up each individual couple's stories, but melding them all together into a great ending to this series. I love each couple's stories independently of each other, making that couple my favorite at the time I am reading about them. They are all so different from each other, not only their tales, but each characters little nuances, idiosyncrasies and quirks make each one so unique. There are so many things happening in this book: engagements, marriages, babies, etc. all based around Tom and Wren's wedding, while creating Rory and Sergei's story in with the existing couples, made for a lot going on, but not too much to make it a busy read. We revel in Tom. He really is such a wonderful character to read. Being exposed to my gay friends from an early age and knowing some of their heartbreaking stories, I could so relate to them. I wanted to live in this town, hang with them and be their best straight girl friend, lol. Said to see the series end, but so happy it ended as it did! Thank you, Ana, for making my day a little brighter!
Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. It's splendid blend of all the wonderful charming if not sweet and sassy characters that have lead us down Chester Falls magical little town, that does wonders for the residents. No hearts was broken in this making of being back at the place that started it all for truly magical wedding, because there was no way that Tom wasn't going to go all out for his visionary perfect day. Only could it that the cold that surrounds Rory? Tom is just so adorably sweet, scheming and all! When an opportunity opens its not just Wren's life that it will affect but also Tom's, can he do that to the man he was about to marry? Charlie loves his new home with Kris in Lydovia. Rory never thought he would see the day that he was going to out himself, after all this time thinking that closet door was sealed and wielded shut.Rory was free and clear of any doubts but will he make the right choice on his road to redemption. Sergei isnt putting anything significant on the time he spends in Vegas, after all what is the say about the bright lights in the city?
4.5 stars. A wonderful finale to a fantastic series.
This was a bittersweet read for me as it’s the end of the Chester Falls series. A series that’s made me laugh, cry and smile as all the characters caught their forever man and in this finale, a new couple also find their own HEA. Tom and Wren’s wedding preparations bring everyone together from planning stages to the bachelor parties in Vegas and finally the big day itself. There’s colour, glitter, sparkle and shine. There’s strippers (not what you’d expect), another Vegas wedding (maybe not who you’d expect) and soon to be parents (earlier than expected)!
The multiple POV makes for an engaging and enjoyable read as everyone gets the opportunity to close out their story in a way that left a huge smile in my face.
This is a beautiful way to end the series and everything is all tied up nicely just like the bow on a wedding bouquet.
💦💓Happy, happy days for so many guys: an awful lot of couples to follow!🌈
This is a happy wrap-up for the lead couples in all of the previous novels and novellas in the Chester Falls MM romance series. I read six of the earlier stories and yet I found it a bit of a project remembering who was who. Each chapter switches to a new guy's perspective. Happy, steamy times as all but two guys in this sizable cohort of gay friends are already in steady, established relationships.
The additional romance for Sergei and Rory, troubled by Rory's years of hiding his orientation, was good; I wish their story had been more of a focus here along with Tom and his glittery wedding.
Surrogates, planned adoptions of kids and pets, proposals and a bonding bachelor party trip to Las Vegas: this story has so much packed in. Good stuff but a bit choppy as a result.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
How to Catch a Happy Ever After is Book 7, and the final book, in the Chester Falls series. This book should be enjoyed after reading others in the series as everyone gathers in this book for Tom and Wren's wedding. It's told from multiple POV and I was easily able to follow along, (which isn't always the case for me.) This is a wonderfully written fun story as Tom and Wren get ready for their big day. Rory and Sergei, being to only singles left, find their way to each other. Though it isn't an easy road and there is a lot of forgiveness along the way. They are wonderful together and I was glad they got their happy ending. I really enjoyed this book. It made me want to start the series all over and read it again from the beginning. This is the perfect end to a fabulous series and I definitely recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
It was great to see the guys from Chester Falls and Lydovia again. Tom and Wren are getting ready for their wedding, but of course, you get to meet everyone else again. The story is wonderfully written and it is told from the point of view of different characters, which made it easy for me to follow what was happening. In the previous volumes, Rory and Sergei have crossed paths briefly every now and then, but this time they get their own story with a happy ending.
I loved seeing all the guys with their different personalities, how they interact with each other, the banter between each other, but it was also funny and steamy. A feel good story.
Nick Huson did a good job. He brought the story to life.
This story is a giant love letter to the town of Chester Falls!! Absolutely amazing and it was so good to see all of my favorite characters one last time. Everyone is getting ready for THE BIG EVENT, also known as Tom and Wren’s wedding. Everyone is here and we even get some extra love for Sergei and Rory. ( I love a good redemption story and Rory definitely needs one.) Rory is working towards forgiving himself and realizing that he really does have friends in Chester Falls. Sergei is just trying to figure Rory out and wants to help him. Shenanigans will ensue (naturally!) as these friends help Tom and Wren get ready in the countdown to the wedding. I am so sad to see this series end but I have a whole series now for comfort reading and it will be read over and over!
WHAT A TREAT! Being back with all the Chester Falls (and Lydovia) guys while they get ready to celebrate Tom and Wren’s wedding was great, especially because while doing so they also gave us a glimpse in their future as established couples. AND we get a whole new story with Rory and Sergei finding their HEA! Rosy is Charlie’s closeted ex-boyfriend, and Connor’s best friend. Sergei is Kris’ ex-boyfriend and the head guard to Lydovia’s palace. Their brief encounters throughout the previous books always lit a spark, but were left unexplored. Not this time, this time it’s for them to get to the bottom of what’s going on between them. A cast of great personalities, sass, banter, steam and multiple POVs, this book was both a whirlwind and a cosy blanket of familiar and beloved characters!
