Stuff of Nightmares is R.L. Stine's crack at writing a horror comic in the vein of some of his favorite comics as a kid, like EC's Tales from the Crypt. Unlike TftC, which usually had short tales in each issue, this story is a four-issue arc about two rogue scientist brothers in a modern day twist on the Frankenstein tale. It does capture the overall feel of those old comics, though it's very modern with it's graphic blood and violence. 3.5/5*

Creepy story, lovely omashe to the Cryptkeeper. Had just the right amount of gore for the Frankenstein store to be refreshing instead of the same mundane monster creation story.
