No stars at all. The only one who benefitted from this book are the people who made money from it - your money(!), when you shelled out your hard earned to feather their nests. I was not impressed by this book. I found most of the "calming methods" described in this book childish, stupid or lame. I cannot see how sitting in front of a tumble dryer watching the washing go round is going to get me to calm down at all. I have better things to do with my life than wasting it by sitting in the laundry (usually not the most relaxing room of the house anyway) and like a moron watching towels flop around in a drum. Telling people to put yummy toppings on their cereal and drink juices won't help the general obesity rates or reduce ever rising blood sugar problems among the community. Thereby increasing overall stress rather than removing it. And telling your problems to a cab driver who is not bound by any rules of keeping your innermost secrets to himself like a psycologist or clergy is foolish to say the least. Wy not put them on facebook as well? I cannot recommend this book at all. It's a waste of time and effort to read it.
When you follow the where to find help in the beginning, sometimes it takes you to pages that really don't have anything to do with the issue you are facing.
Life is very fast paced and stressful. This book will help you keep up with the pace without killing yourself. In this modern world we need to find quick and effective ways to center ourselves. I highly recommend this book. Read it many times and use it as a quick reference in times of stress. Well done.
A quick read and a quick remember for people who need to slow down in their lives. I carried this book around with me in my purse for about a week to use some of its tips, and they do help. A few suggestions are a little "out there" and not really for me, but the majority of the book is helpful in creating rituals and habits for calmness.
