Standing over six feet tall, USA Today bestselling author Jonathan Moeller has the piercing blue eyes of a Conan of Cimmeria, the bronze-colored hair of a Visigothic warrior-king, and the stern visage of a captain of men, none of which are useful in his career as a computer repairman, alas.
He has written the DEMONSOULED series of sword-and-sorcery novels, and continues to write THE GHOSTS sequence about assassin and spy Caina Amalas, the COMPUTER BEGINNER'S GUIDE series of computer books, and numerous other works. His books have sold over one million copies worldwide.
Great intro to Ubuntu. Like the way both the command line & GUI are discussed and the capabilities of each explained. If you want the basics to this Linux version, this is the book for you.
Very easy to read and understand for a new user and one who has been using Ubuntu for a while I really enjoyed cle aring up some of the things that we're not quite clear to me and I think this is one of the better books on beginning of 12 that I've read
It's an older book geared towards server development, but it still contains good information and helps gain an understanding of Ubuntu and Linux that I found very helpful.
