Ah, esteemed author of wilderness & wildlife tales. The world needs more boy-and-dog stories set in remote parts of Alaska, especially in earlier times.
I read this book aloud to my children this past winter while traveling. We all enjoyed it very much. It has been one of my personal favorites since the last time I read it aloud about 12 years ago. Full of adventure.
Chapter 5 is just hysterical. I loved the book. I am quite sure you can read the Kirkus reviews listed here: https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-re... The only other thing I would add is a question about the very end. I will say no more about that.
