When laid off from her publisher as a cover artist she must find her namesake in life again…some kind of hope for her future. Can a birthday wish give her what she truly desires? They say be careful what you wish for.
Destiny seems to bring Jamie and Hope what they need, each other. But a dangerous obstacle stands in their way as obsession turns deadly. Can Jamie trust in Hope’s grounded nature? Is Hope strong enough to live in Jamie’s world? Or will reality intrude on their fantasy of being together?
Author of Brethren series Deena Remiel’s novella Picture Perfect turned out well. It was easy to read, the romance was sweet and characters cute.
Regarding the plot:
Jamie is a successful cover model who struggles with his private life because no woman seems to want a serious relationship with him. His colleagues adore him as sexual object that is very good looking, but none of these women can handle his job – the jealousy is very easy to rise when your work is to pose to romance book covers. He misses someone who would be able to understand him in his life.. until Hope appears. Hope is a cover artist who just lost her job and Jamie is just right for her. The romance is darkened by a hideous person who is possessed with Jamie.
The plot was in my opinion ok, it was nothing very original.
Regarding the characters:
Both Jamie and Hope are very sweet persons and they suit perfectly for each other.
Generally:
Picture Perfect was well-written novella which was sweet summer read. It was smoothly written and easy to read. It had some hot scenes to spice up the romance.
Short, fast & sexy read with not much depth. Male model, who is being stalked by a whacko female, falls for his neighbor after she's hurt on the beach in front of his home. When she's later attacked by the whacko, he feels he must give her up in order to keep her safe. (Note: Amazon freebie)

Deena Remiel, I give you four stars!totally swoonworthy
My thoughts: This is a whirlwind romance! Picture Perfect is a short story, only 72 pages, so a lot happens fast! This action packed love story features romance, danger, a bit of steamy sex and characters that are "picture perfect." Jamie (James) the Adonis male romance book cover model who has it all from gorgeous hair and a sex god body to a sweet down-home boy attitude about love and the woman of his dreams. Then there is Hope. Who miraculously is a romance cover artist. She too is looking for "the one" and is open, understanding and everything Jamie has always looked for in a partner. They meet and it's kismet! In a matter of hours they find they have much in common besides their desire to find true love. Of course it can't all be perfect...enter the stalker "I wanna be your everything" female model who turns to making their lives as not perfect as possible. I enjoyed the story, although I found that it all moved a little too fast from where they meet on the beach to where they are soulmates, but as I said it's a short story and had to move quickly. I would have loved for the story to have been fleshed out a bit more. I felt that the characters were created well enough that they warranted more. The storyline is solid and the stalker woman was obsessive and creepy. I look forward to more books by Deena Remiel.
There was a lot of story crammed into this cute quick read!
Jamie - the gorgeous, smart, sexy cover model has problems with women. Specifically models who look way more into their photo-shoots then what is really happening. He dreams of a woman and a relationship where she respects what he does and doesn't get jealous of the compromising situations he is put in.
Hope - injured stumbles onto Jamie's deck while out for a walk on the beach for her birthday. Instantly she falls for Jamie - even before they find out what each other does for a living. A cover artist who has lost her job. Have the fates thrown these two together!? Was someone listening to Jamie's wishes?
These two are very cute, I wish that the story had been longer to delve more into their budding relationship! They have amazing chemistry and understand one anothers work and it doesn't come between them as it has in past relationships.
Doubt starts to creep into Jamie's dream - a crazy model who is obsessed with him has shaken their fairy tale and sent them running off into hiding. Can Hope handle the crazy's in his life? Will she be able look past it?
I'm not going to spoil it for you - pick up this great read for $0.99 (limited time) and see for yourself!
Picture Perfect is a quick read that will not only sweep you along but sweep you off your feet.
A romance not only filled with passion, romance but also twists and turns to give it a little edge. A beachside walk not only lead Hope onto Jamie's front porch but into his heart !
Deena has created characters who are realistic, her cover model Jamie is what every girl could want, dreamy, sexy, desirable yet sometimes this can be anothers obbession. dahhdahhhhhh !!!!
We are taken on a whirlwind romance, with Jamie cover model and Hope a designer upon first meeting the attraction is magnetic !! The chemistry is electrying and Im sure you to will fall in love with Jamie and Hopes love affair !
Short and sweet but definetly a treat for an afternoon read whilst having a cuppa or a beach front read on your holiday !
I would not have paid more than $0.99 for this book, even in physical form. I'm glad it was a free download, because I wouldn't have liked paying for it on the Kindle.
The story was lovely and sweet. And us girls are always dreaming of men just like Jamie. I'm sure men love a woman like Hope, too.
The LIKE stops there, though. The story was trite.
The characters were TOO perfect. The antagonist was TOO easily read. The situation was resolved TOO neatly.
However, it made for PERFECT reading during my elliptical sessions. Three sessions, the story was complete. And since it IS an easy read, I didn't get frustrated with losing my place or misreading things when I got going at a good pace.
Still, overall rating would have been 2.5 stars. I liked it, but I still wanted more.
picture perfect by deena remiel a woman injures her foot while the sun rises on her birthday. she collapses and a man comes to her rescue. takes her to the ER and then home. then manages to put together a two person happy birthday party at her house=-which is just 3 doors away from his. he thought of everything to make a good party.
she's a cover artist and he's a model for covers. he's been there for her and now it's her turn when an envelope is delivered for him at her house. life becomes complicated til the mystery is solved but it made them break up. will they figure out the problem and get back together?
The dialogue was a little cheesey, and everything was just too fast for me. Hope and Jamie were just too perfect from the very beginning, and the psycho model... and Hope not realizing what was going on in the hotel after the fake package delivery?! She can't really be that dumb right?! And Hope being a romance cover artist and totally understanding the fake sex scenes with Jamie and the other models... I didn't really buy it. Even if I was in the business, it would still bother me to watch my bf with other chicks!
This was a good romance in the 'old school' way. There wasn't anything spectacular about the plot or the characters but I don't think that that was the intention of this book. I think, and I say this whilst making many assumptions, that this book was meant to be the kind of read you enjoy on the beach while eyeing the hot lifeguard... or enjoying in a bath (which is what I did). It is fun, frivolous and oh so romantic. In other words, a good romance.
I fell in love with Jamie. Though he is drop dead gorgeous and smart a can be, he ha a heart of gold and the insecurities of any person. This book shows true love at it's best. I listened to my Kindle read me this book while I was walking and I was sucked into the story immediately. Thanks to Deena's book I was able to walk further then ever :) I loved her characters, the settings and the overall flow of the book. If your looking for a great love story then be sure to read this book!
This was a quick, sweet, and sexy read about a hot, hunky cover model looking for "the one", a woman who will love him for who he is and not the cover model persona and an unemployed cover artist looking for a fresh start. Everything about this short story was 'picture perfect' although I would have liked Jamie and Hope's relationship to develop more slowly.
All in all a real treat and I look forward to reading more by this author.
Sparks fly when Hope meets Jamie, an uber-sexy male romance cover model struggling to find a woman who can accept that his job is just a paycheck, the glam and glitz and sizzle in front of the camera is not his reality. A quick read that I truly enjoyed. Read it on a cross-country flight! Sure made flying a whole lot more fun!
Deena Remiel has done it again! Picture Perfect is a fabulous short story that has the perfect mixture of action and sizzling romance. It's a fast entertaining read that will have you falling in love with the characters and will sweep you off your feet.
I know this was a short work, but everything seemed to move a bit fast to me. I don't usually read hot romance so maybe that was the problem, but I didn't especially like the characters.
