Molly Bean is a lobster fisherman in the sleepy coastal community of Gin Cove. Carolyn Stanley, a successful defense attorney, has found that she enjoys spending time in Gin Cove. When Carolyn sends her high-speed boat careering across the water towards Molly's lobster boat, it soon leads to a mutual attraction.
Diana Tremain Braund continues to live on the coast of Maine in a house that overlooks the water. She and her dog Bob take long walks on the beach where she gets ideas for her books.
Whilst I enjoyed reading this and found the setting and the lead characters very sweet, I was a little confused about how and when they fell in love. I thought I'd skipped a chapter or two. All of a sudden they are into each other and their inner thoughts are declaring to themselves that they are in love. I think they'd had three conversations at that point. We have to put aside the fact that their relationship is completely unlikely. A lawyer and a lobster fisher. I mean..ok! I went with it. I love a romance set in a completely unfamiliar setting. Particularly a coastal or small town thing. This was kind of both. Poor Molly had some family troubles and she took a real hit to the heart from her brother. But lovely Carolyn is ready to step up. The appearance of Molly's ex added a little enjoyment and angst to course of true love. Always nice to hit a bump along the road to happy ever after.
