This is more an introductory level textbook than a popular science publication. The Professor patiently and clearly explains what is needed to be taken into account in the Nature vs. Nurture debate these days. There are no shrill either/or affirmations, no nasty jabs at other authors, no cute or funny anecdotes, and definitely no "look how smart I am" intellectual posturing. So, bearing that in mind, it might be considered a bit of a dry read by some. However, if you are more interested in balanced explanation and are not afraid of examining research models and statistical analyses in order to understand what some of the studies actually show, then you'll probably find this book to be a solid resource.
