This was an older traditional regency written by Nicola Cornick. The Cinderella story was about a young widow who was estranged from her family and living with a wicked mother in law. She falls in love with a gentleman and the story is all about the big and small misunderstandings that they go through before the hea. There were lots of other characters from other books which I hadn’t read. It was okay.
This was great. A little slow to start but it had a lot more substance than I expected and the plot was good length. The characters were enjoyable and descriptions were just enough so that I could escape into the world.
i liked this book more then the first book. i found it an easy read and enjoyed it. i like the hero and heroine more in this too. im glady the sisters fixed they bond i wish we got caroline and macus story. but i did enjoy this book.
My only regret is that this isn’t part of a series. We were introduced to so many amazing characters, I would love to have had other books that delved into their lives.
3.5 stars A sweet story. There are a lot of well-written characters and villains. I would have given it 5 stars had the conflict been more co-hesive to the plot. I have been reading works by this author for the past month.
