My new book, Dear Mom and Dad, is the end of a long journey toward understanding my family. My hope is that readers will be inspired to take a step back and look at their own families through a wider lens. Families are all complicated to some degree, certainly mine was, but in this book I also explore the times when there was just love there. That's part of our story too.

An excellent example of gratitude and faith. Patti Davis has different political views and choices that her parents have. And yet, they get along. Even treasure each other. A great example of acceptance and looking for what is good instead of what is bad.

The side of Ronald Reagan we did not see in the media...I wonder why, to me this seems to be one of his greatest legacies!

This not being a biography of Ronald Reagan focused on his faith, but a few brief stories of him mixed with his daughter's beliefs, I had to be careful as I read the book. I disagreed with what Reagan and Davis said most (40-60%) of the time, although, to be fair, I feel a few things Reagan said about the Lord were fun stories and jokes he made up for his daughter when she was little. Moreover, even if I did not agree, the book gave something for me to chew on and was, indeed, inspirational.

The read was short, simple, and worth it. No, it is not ultimately the most stunning religious book of this age, but I do recommend it. 3.5/5 stars.

I think that Patti Davis is probably the best writer among the Reagan children (although I haven't read Maureen Reagan's memoirs yet). I couldn't give this book as high a rating as The Long Goodbye because I am an infidel and most of the religious stuff in this book was lost on me.

It’s a beautifully written story by a daughter about her famous father and much of what he taught her about God and inadvertently himself. It is a book that I will keep close, it has so much to reveal in its re-reading.

This was a wonderful book about a daughter's relationship with her father. It is the story of living each day and remembering what is important.

Finished this book in about two hours, and cried almost the whole time. Beautifully written account of Ronald Reagan, not as a politician but as a father and an incredible man of great faith. I would absolutely recommend this to ANYONE. GREAT BOOK!

Just re-read this book that my Mom bought me 20 years ago. I wanted to give it 3 1/2 stars. Some parts are simplistic, some are powerful. But it is lovely tribute from a daughter to her father, with whom she did not always have the best relationship.

I like Ronald Reagan and I thought I'd really like this book, but I was left disappointed. It wasn't what I thought it would be. (how profound!)

I loved this book when I read it back in 1995 when it came out. Too bad it doesn't seem to be in print anymore. Wonderful, feel good, sentiment.

I enjoyed this book because Reagan reminded me so much of my grandfather. What Patti Davis said and felt was also the way I felt.
