About the author

Colin Hawkins (1945) was born in Blackpool, England, and won a scholarship to art school at the age of thirteen. He and his wife, Jacqui Hawkins, produced their first children’s book, Witches, in 1981 and over one hundred titles have followed since then.

Pat the Cat is a funny rhyming book that will help kids learn to read because each page builds on a word like "Cat" - one page has a large B to cover the last page's "at", another SAT, PAT...you get the picture. funny asides by a couple of caterpillars.

One of my coworkers left me this thought provoking read. It depicts the struggles of Pat, who is a cat on a mat with a hat and host of lousy friends who have no problem body shaming him and destroying his personal property.
