Sleepy cat. Sleepy mouse. Sleepy sounds inside the house. Sleepy story. Sleepy chair. Sleepy Daddy rocks me there. A magical, cosy story, perfect for reading at bedtime. With beautiful illustrations by Cee Biscoe.
This is another book I picked up from my library's used book store for my grandchildren. Richly illustrated with a catchy poem woven into the illustrations, I'm hoping it will make a nice bedtime story for them. The very large format should allow the two-year-olds (they're twins) to enjoy the pictures.
This is a great sleep book for very little ones, walking through the bedtime routine describing everything as "sleepy" including things around the house, parents as they kiss him asleep, and finally the child as he goes to bed.
We read this for our Sleepytime story time. It's a good gentle book similar to Goodnight Moon. The illustrations are lovely, especially the mouse and the moon!
Short, simple, sweet lyrics and beautiful illustrations make this the perfect bedtime book to be read quietly to infants/toddlers/preschoolers. Or to be read by beginning readers. Loved it! Like a lullaby.
