Lisa goes on an airplane trip to the United States by herself, and she manages to have a lot of accidents on the plane. The accidents are kind of funny, so I enjoyed this book. However, it does feel a bit old as there are some things depicted here that just don't happen on planes these days such as children going into the cockpit and movies being shown on a big screen rather than on a screen in the back of a seat.
The adventures of Lily and George are brilliant This book Lily is going to New York the pictures and words are lovely and clever . Bought for my children kept for myself. I love these books
I'm not sure why this popped up in my pile of new books to process (it was written in 2000). I will be a little hesitant to recommend this to parents looking for books about first trips on an airplane - it doesn't really accurately depict what an airplane ride is like now. This is distinctly European and distinctly pre-9/11. I suppose you could use it to talk about parts of an airplane ride, but there would definitely be some "this doesn't happen anymore" sprinkled in.
A cute book about a girl traveling alone on an airplane. Good for the airplane experience, up until she gets a bath from the flight attendant. Did I mention she appears to be some sort of stuffed animal?
THIS IS MY FAVORITE OF THE WHOLE SERIES! THIS IS THE ONE TO GET!!!!!! To all my Good Reads friends, please go to the library and find this....you will freak out over its cuteness!
Adorable! The illustrations are heart-breakers. The story is simple--it will appeal greatly to young readers--and the imagery is incredibly sweet and delightful.
