When Eli materializes out of nowhere, Pepper can hardly believe her eyes. Now she’s caught between a rock and a hard place.

Barbara Elsborg lives in Kent in the south of England. She always wanted to be a spy, but having confessed to everyone without them even resorting to torture, she decided it was not for her. Volcanology scorched her feet. A morbid fear of sharks put paid to marine biology. So instead, she spent several years successfully selling cyanide.

After dragging up two rotten, ungrateful children and frustrating her sexy, devoted, wonderful husband (who can now stop twisting her arm) she finally has time to conduct an affair with an electrifying plugged-in male, her laptop.

Her books feature quirky heroines and bad boys, and she hopes they are as much fun to read as they are to write.

Spoiler free!!!!

I am having a hard time understanding why this book is not more popular???

This book deserves 5+++ fantastic stars

This story was amazing. It's different from what I have read of Barbara's Elsborg books.

This has a Erotic feel with paranormal added into the fix. There's m/m. And m/m/f. Done perfectly. It sure will have you hot and bothered!!!!

I'm not going to giveaway any of the story. It will just ruin the whole book. Just a little hint will destroy it.

So all I am going to say is that the characters, I fell in love with all three of them. It will make your heart melt into tiny little pieces and keep your head twisted wondering okay what else could there be. This is different from any of the reads I have read lately, and I am glad. I got something different. I felt this book did great justice for the characters and the story line through all the entire book.

If you are looking for something different that will pull you into a great story line and great sex scenes this is for you. It will take you into a great journey that you don't want to stop.

Jump on this. :)

By the way! I will be doing a giveaway with Barbara on this book on my blog. Look out for my event invite! :)

Whoo-hoo, steamy!!!

I think this is my first MMF romance by Barbara Elsborg, and I'm ready for more! I love the connections she built between each of the couples first, and then brought them all together. POW, did it work perfectly!

Ms. Elsborg writes such brilliant paranormal romances. Her world with faeries, fae, shifters, vamps, and all manner of mythical and fantastical creatures, are too good to be missed. If you're a fan of paranormals, she's got them in MF, MM, and any combination you might fancy. And I highly recommend them all!

Paranormal Romance -May 24th, 2011
3 ½ stars

Two hot men has to convince an insecure woman that she is sexy and show her the time of her life.

Pepper loves to work with her hands. She is a sculptor with a rare talent. When she is apprenticed to the brilliant stonemason Alessandro, she is ecstatic. Soon Pepper finds herself infatuated with Alessandro but rumors are that he is gay!

Alessandro is frustrated by his deep attraction to Pepper. He admires her talent but a relationship with an employee is so wrong! But he is lonely and since his last infatuation, Eli. Eli was a famous bachelor, but he mysteriously disappeared and as a result Alessandro’s thoughts are filled with Pepper.

But soon they will all be brought together in an unexpected way when their next project -to restore the gargoyles at their site. Because the gargoyles are actually men who have been cursed by an evil woman. When Pepper takes one down for repairs she finds that the gargoyle suddenly turns into a sexy man named Eli. Soon they are hot and heavy. And when Alessandro discovers Eli in his work space later, this only get more complicated and steamy.

This was an inventive story. I liked the ideas of a powerful woman cursing Eli into a gargoyle. But the gargoyle story and the relationship between Alessandro and Pepper gets a bit convoluted. I wished that the author had made them two separate stories instead because some sections of the story were a bit jarring to read. The sex scenes are hot but curiously there not as many as I expected since the author spends a great deal of time explaining the story and the various characters’ backgrounds. This made the story drag at some points. There is a lot going on so it is not a quick and easy read. I really liked the vulnerable and self conscious Pepper. I was happy for her when she found not one but two hot men to appreciate her charms. The men were not as fully fleshed as Pepper and not quite as likeable but sexy none the less.

Hot, imaginative, and interesting to read. However, the story is slow to start due to author having to set up all the characters and their predicaments/backgrounds.

Ugh, this one is just so poorly written that I'm going to drop it 16% in. It should be interesting! But the author's craft wasn't yet up to the task, alas.

Uhwow. That was.. Wow.

Eli's one handsome man. Too handsome some creatures are attracted to him. Eli refuse them and something bad happen.
Alessandro find Eli's very handsome and he fall for him. But he's too scared to say hi and suddenly Eli's gone. Nowhere to find. And somehow his heart beats faster when he see Pepper.
Pepper's having a crush on Aless since forever. But her boss seemed annoyed everytime she's around. Wait, who's this guy? Covered with dust and.. hard as rock?!

This book's magically romantic! I have it since forever but I just got a chance to finish it. And I was like, what was I thinking not reading it in the first place?!

Very typical of Miss Elsborg, easy to catch up, wrapped in many of steamy scene and the storyline's just fun to read. Ha! :)))

I feel bad for Eli, and I winced when his ear.. ah, spoiler. No, no. My heart goes for Eli because Aless's too, I don't know, tense? Pepper's so adorable and funny. And the peeping Tom's scene? H-O-T.

You guys need to read this. I know it's non human but the romance is fun to read and definitely worth your time. Seriously.

In this enchanting menage about a man-turned-gargoyle, Elsborg builds a magical world in, what better place than, a supernatural museum. The enigma with the gargoyle, as well as the developing relationship between the M/M/F, hurdled the plot along. This story has my favorite Elsborg components: sensuality, humor, and polished writing. But there's something else here too. Beyond the deliciously seductive scenes is a fairytale rife with scheming bitches and unexpected twists that kept me reading late into the night to finish it.

Loved it, it was a unique story that i hadn't read before and the attraction between the three was palpable. Just wish that i could read a sequel to find out more about what happens when she meets her family and more about the museum.

Great read as usual

What can I say, I am an easy to please reader, Rocked was a smooth read that I finished within 3 hours.

But, again just as how I complain on "Anna and the Middle", Barbara is quite jumpy on proper ending and explanation. We were just thrown everything during the last 20 pages. I wanted to know what happen to her family, the bitch, i meant the beautiful wonderful 3 women at the end, because you know, freezing a man for a year wasn't a light crime so there must be something. Yeah, but other than that, i had fun reading this. Thank you Barbara! \(^.^)/

***3.5***
This is a story of a man who is turned into a gargoyle. It’s also an erotic novel with two men who just happen to be gorgeous and bi-sexual. There are some steamy mm scenes and more steamy menage scenes. The main characters are, Pepper (her parents named her Cayenne Pepper, seriously) and Eli (gargoyle) and Alessandro (not a gargoyle).

As ridiculous as this premise was, I had a great time reading it!
"I think my heat was stone before they made me a gargoyle. Without you, I might still be on the roof. You've done more than bring me back to life, you've given me a life.
Elsborg writes such great dialogues and her characters are quite unique.

I was lucky enough to win this e-book in a blog competition. Like all Barbara's books, I really enjoyed this one with its quirky characters and rollicking plot that kept everything going at a rocking pace.

I'm not a huge fan of paranormal, but I'm not exactly sure if this book IS paranormal, or just a weird twist on reality. There certainly were paranormal, supernatural forces at play, but the way the characters accepted what fate had in store was great.

I loved that the heroine, Pepper, was a stonemason! What a great occupation for an in-charge romance heroine.

My favourite character was Eli. His punishment (I won't say what it is) allowed for great insight and character growth for him, especially as he didn't come off as immediately likeable at the start.

My only small niggle was that there are a lot of characters introduced right up front, and it's a little difficult to keep them all straight as the story progresses, but once you get into it, that all settles down.

probably an almost 4 for me on the rating..but I'm rounding up.

This paranormal tale isn't your everyday vampire or shifter story.. I'm not going to be specific because that's part of the fun in this book. You're not quite sure until the very end what sort of paranormal you are dealing with. I think that's part of the fun of this.

The story is a tad slow to start, but picks up once all three main characters come together at the Supernatural Museum. But I gotta sale, the gargoyle stole the show for me.

And I didn't expect that ending at all!

If you are looking for a paranormal story that's different and has a nice dose of humor to it, this book might be for you.

The story is interesting. It is not the typical menage. The real identity of Pepper is somewhat disconcerting and the ending is somehow cut short. How are they gonna save the other gargoyles? Are they like Eli? There are a few conflicts unsettled and questions to answer. However, it is still enjoyable to read.

The plot premise in this paranormal romance is fantastic. I can wait for Rocked to come out in paperback. Not that I don't love e-books, but some novels are collectibles. The imagination, attention to detail is well above most the print books I do have stacked against my walls.

I would have given it a 5 except the thingy about the alien vistors coming to earth to get their fertility improved was too freakin weird. It would have been better to stick with a purely supernatural version of the explanation.

Rocked is a menage story about a half-fairy stone mason girl who falls for her boss and for a man cursed to be a gargoyle. The story is sweet, if standard, but the twisty bit at the end comes out of left field, is unsupported by the story, and feels like an awkward deus ex machina.
