This is a great book to have in your kitchen. I bought this years ago and everything I try, the whole family likes. The chicken fingers dish and risotto dish are great. The chicken, spinach, gnocchi soup is a staple in our home, with or without the gnocci. There are many I have yet to try, but I look forward to more recipe adventures within this book because the ones we've tried have been so good.
I was at the local library book sale and saw this book among the offerings. I saw that it was Food Network related and snapped it right up. I like some of the tips and suggestions given to make food preparation faster and easier. Some are just common sense, but we don't think about it until someone says something and then it's like "oh, yeah, I knew that." The pictures look so tasty that there are several dishes I want to try, even though I am not crazy about some of the ingredients (like eggplant) but they look so good that I'm willing to try it. I like how the recipes are coded to help speed things along. And the recipes do seem pretty easy, hence the title of the book.
It was more of a cookbook than a how-to book, but the tips and tricks at the end were quite useful, especially for someone new to cooking who is looking for tips on how things work and what to keep in the pantry.
