HOT DAMN! FAN-FUCKIN-TASTIC!
Stacey Kennedy your writing talents go above and beyond expectations. Your writing is brilliant and creative. This little M-M Short Story was so hot and arousing as hell that it left me smiling and chuckling out loud and wondering where the hell my hubby was so I could pounce on him immediately so I can fulfill my sexual appetite - LOL
I always know when I read Stacey Kennedy's books I am guaranteed to get great satisfaction from it and always wanting more. This was such a quick and fun read (28 pgs).

This is a short and, some will say, very hot story about a US Marshal, who is in denial of his sexuality, and a bartender, who is determined to bring it out in him.
And therein lies the problem for me. Not only is there no emotional involvement between the two main characters (that would be perfectly understandbale in a story that is just about sex), but there is active animosity. The bartender almost forces himself on the Marshal. There is no regard for going slow, the sex is harsh to the point of being brutal and there is no enjoyment in it other than the physical release. Even the language reflects this, and tht really bothered me.
If you're looking for a hot story with no emotional entanglements, you might like this one. Personally, I was hoping for a little more, based on the other 1 Night Stand stories I have read. But that's just me.

This is exactly as the blurb says. One night of sex between two beautiful men. I usually need emotions involved, so it wasn't my cup of tea, but it didn't try to pretend to be anything other than what it said. I'd never read one of the Madame Eve stories, and I'll probably stop with this one.

My second book by Kennedy is of a different theme and genre all-together. I haven’t tried and Male/Male romance before but wow! Do esshe know how to make a girl need to fan herself.
Wyatt Tanning is a US Marshall on the hunt for a killer on the island of Turks and Caicos. His life doesn’t consist of much romance because he’s always traveling and working, he even enlists in a matchmaker to help him find his ultimate match.
After the trail for his killer run into a dead end, Wyatt heads to a local high society hotel to crash for the night. This is where he runs into Rye an attractive ex UFC fighter with all the charm and dominant appeal. The chemistry between them in undeniable and this is when things start to heat up.
As I said before this was my first try for the m/m erotica romance genre but these two boys have some awesome chemistry and passion. This is a short novella and I don’t want to give away anymore, but this is one hot read! Kennedy really creates intense moments between the two characters, which leave you breathless. Takedown is a short read that will defiantly leave you wanting more.
RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult book, which carries explicit sexual contact, harsh language and since this is a male/male sexual story some may find it not to their liking.

This book is a first for me in two ways. It is the first M/M (Male/Male) Romance that I have ever read and the first purely Erotic Romance that I have reviewed on Paromantasy and I'm sure glad I did. Stacey Kennedy never ceases to amaze me. She can write a sizzling, gripping, temperture-rising story in just a few pages, leaving you wanting more. Not to worry, Takedown is the start of the series!
Wyatt is a U.S Marshall who is in Turks & Caicous on the hunt for a murderer. Unfortuantely, many sleepless nights later, the murderer is still nowhere to be found. He decides to call it a night and rest so he heads to his hotel and decides to hit the bar. Little did he know that in that bar is the person that will change his entire life. Rye is a former UFC fighter turned bartender who is looking for love. Little did he know that he would find that man of his dreams, the only problem is that this man is in serious denials. Both Wyatt and Rye separately, have recently visited the same match making service of Madame Eve. They are looking for the right lady to spend some time with. I liked that both Rye and Wyatt are alphas. The romance is minimal. This really is just hot gritty one night stand sex. They came together over beers and a challenge. Wyatt has to initially be persuaded by Rye. Wyatt knows he has an intense sexual attraction to Rye. He is on the self-conscious side about what the US Marshall service, his employer, will think about it.
I had an awesome email this morning from Awesomesauce blog. I won a backlist pick of a Stacey Kennedy book. Having seen several reviews for this book when it first came out I knew from get go I wanted to read it. This is a very quick read novella of male and male erotic. I have included some links below. 1Night Stand has their own blog. There are several other books in this series by various authors. The books focus around Madame Eve and her bringing people together for a HFN or a HEA. They are all short novellas. It also appears that they can be read as stand alones and completely out of order. I certainly enjoyed seeing these two big strong sexy alphas come together for a night of scorching hot sex. I will most definitely look into other books to see who else Madame Eve puts together.

WOW! Ms. Kennedy knows how to heat things up fast!
If you’re new to M/M romance, or just aren’t sure if this is something you’d like yet, then I think Takedown would be a perfect place to start!
First off, it isn’t that long. At about 37 pages, it almost seems too short! I blazed through this novella so quickly that I wished it was a full-length book! Also, this book has great characters that are strong on their own, but when paired together, they are explosive! I LOVED Rye! I thought he was so sexy in the arrogant way he carried himself. And then there’s Wyatt, a U.S. Marshall who finally gets the break he deserves. These two guys sizzle on the page and I’d like to read about them some more!
I also liked the idea of Madame Eve and that 1NightStand dating service. I thought it added a unique touch to a great novella and it certainly got a laugh out of me! It was a neat idea!
In terms of steam factor, yeah...Ms. Kennedy knows what she’s doing when it comes to erotica! There’s no doubt about it!
Bottom line? I’d read it again!

Hot! Hot! Hot! This is the second novella from Decadent Publishing’s One Night Stand Series and it’s as good as To Feel Again, the first in the series and the first reviewed on this site. Wyatt Tanning and Rye Daniels are two of the sexiest and most exciting male characters I’ve read in a long time. The heat and sexuality between them practically singes the pages from their initial meeting in the bar and then just spreads like a flash fire through the rest of the story. Two days after reading this story, these men still pop up in my mind at odd moments of the day… and night. These characters are alpha males to the max. There’s no shame in Rye’s game and I liked he’s determination to make Wyatt face who he is and what he desires. Wyatt didn’t have a chance though it was great fun to ‘see’ him literally fight the inevitable. Wyatt and Rye give no quarter to the other in the rough and tumble nor passionate scenes within this story. This is a graphic, short novella that will leave you breathless and wanting more, though the author wraps up this story very well. Thankfully I’ll be getting more of Wyatt and Rye as there is a sequel to this story, Somewhere in Between. Until then, I’ll just have to read Takedown one more time.

First, I have to say that I don't normally read stuff quite like this. This was my first male/male romance. Ok, maybe romance isn't the right word. Erotica. Stacey Kennedy is one of my favorite authors though, so when I heard about this book I was intrigued. I didn't know if I'd like it, but I have a pretty open mind so I thought, why not?
It was HOT. I mean, Stacey Kennedy is the queen of writing HOT scenes and apparently it doesn't matter if it's male/female, male/male, etc... I liked how both men were the tough macho types. Honestly, if one of the men had feminine mannerisms (you know what I'm talking about), I don't think I could have gotten into it. I also liked how Wyatt tried to deny that he had any sexual interest in the same sex.
This is a very short novella – meant to be read in one setting, because you just can't sit it down and walk away saving the rest for later. Now, since it is so short, there is no time for romance. It's all about passion the whole way through. This book is pretty graphic, so definitely for the 18+ crowd. If you have any interest at all in this type of thing, give this book a try!

To start with ** Cover love for sure and dont think that just the cover is smokin ** Whats inside is smexy - sexy and smoulderin !!!! At only 28 pages long, Stacey had me hooked ! Two devilioulsy deliscious men, ** gorgeous !!!!! - both liking to venture to the other side m/m , discover their fantasties in one way more than another ;) Fast paced, and will leave you not only hot under the collar, but in awe. ** fans onself **
It was like driving in a ferrrari - sleek on the oustide - hot, fast, and breathtaking on the inside. Full throttle ahead till the very end. !!!!

I enjoyed this novella. Wyatt, a US Marshall has been in Turks and Caicos with his team for the last week on the hunt for a murderer but haven’t had much luck. Wyatt has known he’s attracted to men and women for awhile but has never acted on his attraction to men. He contacts Madame Eve from 1NightStand to try and find him a woman since he hasn’t had much luck finding someone the old fashioned way. He’s off the clock and decides to stop in for a beer before he crashes for the night. He instantly notices how attractive the bartender Rye is but that’s all it can be. Rye notices that Wyatt’s checking him out but then sees Wyatt shut it down which offers him a challenge which he finds really hot. After Wyatt finishes beer he quickly leaves and heads to his room. Since it’s the end of his shift Rye decides to track down Wyatt to see where their night goes. The chemistry between these two is extremely explosive. I’m looking forward to reading more about these two when Madame Eve works her magic again with finding them the perfect woman for the both of them in Somewhere in Between. I’d recommend this novella and author to others.

Otra novela corta de Stacey Kennedy, dentro de la serie 1 Night Stand, en la cual han publicado muchas autoras. El nombre mismo de la serie nos da una idea de lo que van éstos relatos. Y al igual que en el anterior "Forever Bound", aquí veremos relatada la primera noche de Rye y Wyatt.
Voy a reconocer que a mí me gustan mucho las historias de este tipo. Aunque pocas veces he leído una en donde haya sexo explícito entre dos chicos, entonces sí estaba un tanto temerosa de lo que podría encontrar.
Siendo una historia corta, todo va desde el momento en que Wyatt se reprocha el seguir persiguiendo una pista que no le lleva a nada y decidiendo darse un descanso en el Castillo hasta el momento en que es atendido por Rye.
Rye en seguida se siente atraído por Wyatt y siente que esa química es mutua. Pero no puede evitar notar que nuestro Marshal no acepta que pueda sentirse atraído por un chico. Vamos, que es un militar. Evidentemente habría más que un comentario de mal gusto entre su gente si se enteraran. Pero Rye no está dispuesto a perderse la oportunidad y cual depredar hambriento va en busca del conejito y Wyatt, todo grandote y regio como buen militar, lo rechaza... aunque no con la convicción necesaria porque termina sucumbiendo a sus deseos.
Esta vez me sentí más conectada con la pareja. Rye y Wyatt me hicieron reír y disfrutar de su historia. Me sorprendió que ambos hubieran contratado los servicios de la misma casamentera que hace gala en Forever Bound, para conseguir a UNA CHICA!! Terminaron en cambio encontrándose ellos e incendiándose uno por el otro. Aunque al final hay una cosilla por ahí que insinúa una continuación para la historia de estos dos preciosos alfas y ¿qué creen? Que ya me la leí... Pero esa es para otra reseña :)

For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review....
First, let me say this is a m/m book. If this is not your cup of tea, you will not hurt my feelings by just saying hi. Now with the said and those who will stay around for the short review... This may be a short story but it is one hot hell'va short story. Ms. Stacy definitely delivers a story worth reading.... But she also leaves you wanting to know more of what would happen to Wyatt and Rye. And what about the bounty on Katrina's head?
This is a story that many of us have experiences.... One look, one stare of pure lust and a night to see where it all can go!
This is a story under 30 pages, I'm going to keep my review short as to not give away any of the story. But I will say that this book brought a delightful look into the world of just loving to have sex. I mean we are all adults... And it is okay to say that the thought of having sex with male or female just might cream your twinkie... In fact, isn't that the spice of life. But allow a U.S. Marshall and a hot bartender will show you just how they float each others boat in a super hot Takedown!

For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review....
First, let me say this is a m/m book. If this is not your cup of tea, you will not hurt my feelings by just saying hi. Now with the said and those who will stay around for the short review... This may be a short story but it is one hot hell'va short story. Ms. Stacy definitely delivers a story worth reading.... But she also leaves you wanting to know more of what would happen to Wyatt and Rye. And what about the bounty on Katrina's head?

Kennedy didn't disappoint with her lastest release. We have two sexy males; one who will not let those desires for a man take over, then we have Rye who embraces sex in any way he can get it.
Wyatt doesn't want to face his desires because that's not what U.S. Marshalls do. (Those are basically his words, by the way.) But thanks to his lastest case (and something else), he meets Rye who loves a challenge as well as a built, dominating man.
Addict's Last Words: I would definitely love to continue where Takedown leaves to see more of both characters.

This was a fabulously hot little novella. Talk about two sexy, hot, alpha guys....YUM! Loved both Rye and Wyatt and, wow, they were steamy in this.
Wyatt is a US Marshall and, as such, he has never acted upon his attraction to men. That changes when faced with Rye, a bi-sexual bartender, who won't let him deny the attraction. Rye is a UFC fighter. Wyatt is a US Marshall. Both of these guys are in prime physical shape. They are both so alpha, but at the same time, Wyatt is a virgin when it comes to men. It makes for such a hot book. I LOVED it!! I cannot wait to see them again in Somewhere in Between when they meet their dream girl!

This is a story in the one night stand series. The premise is fun and interesting. People who want to meet their soul mates pay an exorbitant amount of money to Madame Evangeline who seems to always find the perfect pairings. They agree to a 1 Night stand with their potential significant other and leave the details to the Madame and her agency.
In this story, U.S. Marshal is on a case, chasing a criminal to Turks and Caicos. Taking a break at the hotel bar, he meets bartender Rye Daniels, a UFC Fighter.
This story was really quick and was a bit underdeveloped, but it had a good ending and I liked the very brutish and aggressive male qualities of the two MCs. A man in uniform with handcuffs and a gun, and a UFC fighter that can mix a cocktail? What's not to love?

If you're looking for a quick guy on guy read, this is definitely the book for you. Even if you're like me and weren't sure about reading something like this, you won't be disappointed. It's definitely hot. Wyatt and Rye have an instant attraction. It's awesome how Rye recognized Wyatt's attraction and wasn't going to take no for an answer. Who doesn't like a guy to take control over the situation now and then? This is definitely a book I'd recommend to someone who is interested in this genre. It's a hot, sexy, quick read. Another great story by Stacey.

I read this and Somewhere in Between out of order. I read Somewhere in Between first and I loved it so I had to see how it all began. And holy hotness! I honestly did not think I would be a big fan of man on man but it was pretty hot!
This book was not about LOVE or feelings in was pure lust and living in the moment. Both men are strong Alpha males and together they are beyond sexy. If you want to read a book that will give you one of the best 1Night stands ever, then you are in the right place!

HOT!
The characters Rye and Wyatt and extremely well-developed and for two alpha males, are quite different as well. This is my first GLBT 1 Night Stand story and I look forward to reading more of them and from Stacey Kennedy.

Super hot book! I only wish it were longer! I particularly liked the set up between the men - one, not so sure, and the other ready to go. Made for a very hot read. I am so glad the guys are back in "Somewhere in Between" and I hope they come back again.
