In Emma Holly's FLIPPING FOR CHELSEA, Shay and Liam shared an unforgettable night with their lifelong friend, Chelsea, awakening a rush of forbidden feelings--feelings they have to reckon with when the three reunite, and the unrequited lust between them is too much to bear.

Though Ava left her hard-knock Georgia childhood behind, she never forgot Luca and Angelo. Together they were best friends with a bond that could never be broken. But when she returns, the three must decide whether to face the fires that burn between them, or forgo their desires forever in Lauren Dane's DIRTY/BAD/WRONG.

In Megan Hart's JUST ONE NIGHT, fun-loving couple Kerry and Jeremy find themselves in a triangle of trouble when Kerry's old crush, Brian, returns for a school reunion, and Jeremy gives her his enthusiastic approval to seduce him. But while Jeremy has no trouble sharing Kerry, Brian isn't sure he can handle what's coming.

Years ago, Walker walked out on Madeline when she needed him most. Now, the ex-Secret Service agent is back--hired to protect Madeline by her billionaire boss, Tony. Madeline is determined to make him pay for denying her desires--and she's not above bringing Tony in to sweeten the deal in Bethany Kane's ON THE JOB.

In case you couldn't tell by the name.... this book is basically four short stories that revolved around a menage, or at the very least 3 people in one way or another. Let me give you a quick warning so this doesn't happen to you.

Do not try to read this book while at work! You might not be able to cover up the blushing, sometimes moaning, and other reactions your body won't be able to help!

dirty/bad/wrong by Lauren Dane - 4 Stars

I wish this would've been a whole book, it was a great story! Ava comes from the wrong side of town, her mother was a hot mess her whole life, her stepdad used to beat her, and she was always under the town's scrutiny for her mother's errors. After she graduated she couldn't take the town anymore and left her sweet little town of Petal, GA and moved to LA in search of a better future. Before she left though, she had a hot torrid affair with Luca, and almost by accident, Angelo, Luca's best friend. Angelo had a crush on her since forever so he jumped at the opportunity even though she was his best friends girl, and realized he also had other feelings for his buddy in a totally unexpected way. She left them both without looking back. Now after 10 years, and after she's made something of herself, she has to come back to GA to bury her mother. And the first person she sees is Luca! Sparks fly almost instantly, and when he offers her to stay at his house while she's in town, she can't refuse. They rekindled their relationship almost immediately. And can I just say it was hot and then hotter! Once Angelo comes (being summoned there by Luca) they all realize what they had together (yes all 3) was worth fighting for it now. If you are uncomfortable with m/m, I'll warn you that Luca and Angelo do have some m/m loving in this one, although it's pretty light (and hot!) You just can't help but wish you were her! Excellent story! And on a side note, I have a feeling this might be related, or in the same world as, the Chase Brothers series by Ms. Dane. Is it? I gotta get started reading those!

Just One Night by Megan Hart - 5 Stars

This story was weird and sexy at the same time. Kerry has been dating Jeremy for a while, they actually live together. They have an ok relationship, if not the best. Then Kerry's high school reunion comes around, and Jeremy won't go with her. Instead he wants her to get something she's always wanted. To have sex with Brian, her high school crush. And then come home and tell him all about it. Sound kinky enough? This is the first time Jeremy has brought up this sort of kink, and she's not sure how to feel about it. But she takes full advantage of the opportunity. After all, she's wanted Brian for too long. They have one really hot, steamy night together. But Brian wants more! Of course he wasn't aware that she was someone else's. Does it make him a total douche if he can't stay away? She's been his dream fantasy girl, and he can't get enough with just one time. They have an affair all the while Jeremy being aware of it, and Brian knowing that after she's with him, she goes home to Jeremy's bed. But after two extremely hot weeks he realizes he can't share her. He wants her too much and it's tearing him apart to know she's not his. But will Kerry let him go so easily?

Flipping for Chelsea by Emma Holly - 3.5 Stars

This was my first read by this author and I was actually pleasantly surprised. This was an excellent erotica read, but it fell a little short for me in the storyline and character development. HOT? Absolutely, from the beginning. Shay was kind of adopted by Liam's family when he was a little boy, so they've grown up as brothers, Liam being the older one, and Shay being totally in awe of him. Chelsea was the girl next door they both wanted. And all three of them grew up as best friends. Shay wasn't aware that Chelsea and Liam had been fooling around until the night before she has to go away to college, when she comes over and they start making out in front of him. Shay somehow joins in the fun with the two of them, and *fans self* IT'S TOO HOT TO HANDLE! Until he makes the mistake of touching Liam. This is the moment that ruins the chemistry for all 3, Chelsea goes on to college, Shay moves away to Boston and Liam stays in New York. Fast forward to current times, Chelsea is back in NY. She's tried having a relationship with Liam a few times but it never worked out. Now she's hired him for one of her construction jobs. But he wants her back, and forever. But Chelsea can't give him forever because she knows she can't give him all of her, half her heart will always belong to Shay, she just wants them both. So what could happen if Shay comes back from Boston? And how would Liam react now that he's older? The end was a bit unrealistic for me, in regards to Liam's attitude and decisions. Which is in big part what ruined the story for me. But the eroticsm stayed SCORCHINGLY HOT until the end. And oh yes, another warning for m/m this one's a bit SEXIER and HOTTER than the first story.

On The Job by Bethany Kane - 3.5 Stars

Another first time author read for me. I do like her writing style, and this story was also extremely hot, but it was my least favorite of the three. This is almost a romantic suspense. Walker and Madeline used to date years ago, while Tony was in love with Madeline and she only saw him as a friend. But Walker left town, and left Madeline. He wanted to do something with his life, so he could come back and offer Madeline a better future. He joined the military, and is now working with the secret service. This now puts him in direct contact with Madeline and Tony again. Tony is the owner of a huge security company, and is believed to be dealing information with the Russians. He is also supposed to be engaged to Madeline. Walker is assigned to the case and is put in the house as a private security consultant to keep them safe. I did not like the fact that since Walker and Madeline never had sex before, within the first moments of the story he picks her up from her chair while sunbathing, and teasing the hell out of him, drags her to the pool house, handcuffs her to a bar in the ceiling and has sex with her. Really? After all these years, and the "love" you have for her, that how's you treat her??? Not to mention it was hot as hell, but that's besides the point. I did not like Walker much, he was too arrogant, and only saw it his way most of the time. And this story is really the 2 of them as a couple. Tony was really not engaged to Madeline, even though he wanted to. There is a WEIRD moment between the three of them at the end, which I thought was totally unnecessary. But I will check out more books by this author for sure!!!

This is the first time I’ve ever read an anthology of short stories before. Normally, I don’t care for collections of short stories because it seems like it takes me forever to get through them which sounds crazy because well, they’re short! When I saw that two of my favorite authors were collaborating in not only an anthology, but a collection of ménage stories, I was determined to get it! I was lucky enough to win a signed copy from Megan Hart herself, and I dived right in as soon as it came to the house.

DIRTY/BAD/WRONG By Lauren Dane

Ava comes home to Petal GA after the sudden death of her mother. Ava left Petal ten years ago trying to escape the association that came with being her mother’s daughter. Not only did she leave her family behind, but she also left her two best friends, Luca and Angelo, as well. Even across the country in California, Ava couldn’t seem to forget her two special friends. When Ava returns, it’s quite obvious that the bond between the three of them is still there and the spark has turned into a full on flame.
I wasn’t crazy about this one. Normally, I love Lauren Dane’s writing and her character development, but this one really just fell flat for me. I realize that this is a short story, but I felt like the emotions between the three main characters were way too intense to have them all be crammed into 86 pages. When reading it, I felt like I was missing some of the history, some other reasons that there were so many feelings and why.
The sex in this, typical to any Lauren Dane book, was hot! What girl in her right mind wouldn’t want to be the center of attention to two gorgeous men? I did have a hard time keeping up with whose POV I was reading, they seemed to be intermingled quite a bit and sometimes it got confusing as to who was doing what to who.
I love reading a sexy ménage story¸ but for me, the idea of three people together in a relationship, just doesn’t work. The only thing I’ve ever read that comes close to being realistic is Lauren Dane’s Laid Bare. This one, although hot, just didn’t seem realistic at all. There was too much indecision in the beginning to really make me believe it would truly have an HEA for all three characters.
Overall, not a bad read, but definitely not my favorite by her by a long shot-3 ½ stars

JUST FOR ONE NIGHT By Megan Hart
When Kerry’s old high school crush responds to their upcoming fifteen year class reunion, Kerry’s voyeuristic boyfriend Jeremy encourages her to not only go, but seduce Brian Jordan and take what she’s been fantasizing about for so long. Kerry agrees to do it being that it’s only for one night, but what she doesn’t expect is that one night is not even close to enough for her nor Brian. Jeremy has no problems sharing Kerry, but Brian doesn’t want to share her, and Kerry’s not she sure she wants to be shared.
Megan Hart is, by far, my favorite author. Reading her books and stories take me to a completely different place and put me in a mind frame that is so opposite of what my realistic life is. She can make me believe that it’s myself in these scenes she writes and that the emotions that are being felt are my own emotions. To me, that’s writing at its very best.
Reading this story was like being transported back to high school/college where there was that one person who you wanted and just never had a chance to take action. The one that got away. Brian is that person for Kerry, and, unbeknownst to her, Kerry is that person for Brian. When they meet at the reunion it’s like time hasn’t stood in their way. They pick up with their comfortable chatter and familiar ways with one another. The only difference is that this time, they’re finally going to take action. HOLY SMOKES do they take action.
Megan writes such intense sex scenes. Nothing is left to the imagination. Sights, sounds, smells, taste’s you name it, no detail is left out. Reading this was exciting and exhilarating as though it were myself finally sealing the deal with my crush from high school. HOT, HOT, HOT!! What neither of them expect is to discover what they’ve been missing in each other.
This was fantastic and had all my favorite things about a Megan Hart novel in it-FIVE STARS

FLIPPING FOR CHELSEA By Emma Holly
Over ten years ago, Liam, Shay, and Chelsea all share an unforgettable evening together. What they don’t expect is the feelings that come up when they share this intimacy.
Shay’s parents died when he was very young leaving full custody of him to their best friends; Liam’s parents. Shay and Liam are like brothers, but Shay can’t deny that his feelings for Liam go much deeper than just a brotherly kind of love.
Chelsea is next door neighbors with Liam and Shay. Even though she’s crushed on Liam since she was ten years old, her heart has grown fonder of Shay over the years as well. On the night before she heads off to college she embarks on the most sexually fulfilling night of her life; with Shay AND Liam.
Shay is overwhelmed with the desire he feels for Liam and when he tries to make a move on Liam¸ he feels embarrassed and flees leaving Chelsea and Liam calling after him.
Jump ten or so years later and they all run into each other once again, only this time, Liam isn’t afraid to admit that he has feelings for not only Chelsea, but Shay as well.
This was my first read by Emma Holly and quite honestly I wasn’t really sure what to expect. The writing was good enough, and the sex was plenty steamy, but I just didn’t connect with the characters and for me, that’s the most important part of a story. Plus, again, the idea of a ménage working realistically, just doesn’t work for me. Sadly, I don’t really have much more personally to say about it- 3 ½ stars.

ON THE JOB By Bethany Kane
Walker, Madeline and Tony all grew up together as teens. Tony and Madeline came from families with money while Walker’s family was the hired help for Tony’s family. As expected, Tony and Walker both had quite the crush on Madeline, but it was Walker who had truly held Madeline’s heart. Walker is offered an opportunity to make something of himself by becoming a Secret Service agent. He loves Madeline, but wants to prove that he can offer something worthy of her so he leaves. While Walker is away, Tony and Madeline become involved
Jump ahead ten or so years, and Walker is a highly decorated Secret Service Agent. Tony hires Walker and his company to come out to his Lake Tahoe Lodge to offer security for his banking business as well as his fiancée, Madeline. What Tony doesn’t know is that Walker is on to him and knows that Tony’s been dappling in some illegal things and is about to be brought down by the federal government. Tony also seems ignorantly oblivious to the fact that Walker and Madeline still have it bad for one another.
This story was like experiencing split personality syndrome, with sex, for me. At first it seemed like hot reunion sex, then it seemed like pity sex, followed by hard sex, followed by extreme alpha “your mine” sex. It was exhausting! Don’t get me wrong, it was hot reading it, but I never really connected with any of the characters and their true feelings. It seemed like too much information crammed into too short of a story. However, this was my first read by Bethany Kane/Beth Kery, and I very much enjoyed her writing style. Definitely will pick up another book by her-3 ½ stars.
Overall, this anthology was pretty good. Hart’s outshined the three others combined. Overall four stars for the entire series.

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane

Ava returns home to Petal, Georgia after ten years of living on the west coast. Those ten years ago she had found love and comfort with both Luca and Angelo. With an alcoholic father and a mother who cheated, Ava was an outcast. But Luca and Angelo not only showed her love, but acceptance. It was all too much to take though, and one morning she left, and never looked back. But now her mother has died, and Ava has come back for her funeral. She meets back up with Luca and Angelo, who have had a relationship of their own, and the three of them dive right back into the bedroom.

Dirty/Bad/Wrong is an erotic story of rekindled love. Holy wow – can Lauren Dane write smoking hot sex scenes. I’m not sure I am fully convinced of the fact that Ava ran out ten years ago, and falls into bed with both boys within hours of coming back to Petal. I felt that scenario was rushed. She might have some shame for the parents she comes from, but she has no shame in the bedroom alone with Luca and Angelo. Lauren Dane also lets Luca and Angelo have a few scenes just with themselves which is nicely done. This one gets high marks for very well written sex scenes but I didn’t love the plot.

Just One Night by Megan Hart

Jeremy and Kerry have been dating for about eighteen months and Kerry has discovered the thought of her with another man gets Jeremy off. He has given her permission to pursue her high school crush, Brian at their upcoming 15 year class reunion – as long as Kerry comes home and tells Jeremy every dirty detail. Kerry is nervous Brian won’t want her, but after a brief meeting at the reunion, they end up in a hotel room together for a night of passionate sex. They try to go their separate ways after that one night, but they both can’t stop thinking about each other.

Just One Night is my favorite story in this anthology, which surprised me, because when I first started reading it I was very skeptical. Her boyfriend wants her to have sex with someone else? Really? But it works so well in this story. Jeremy is more than okay with her pursuing Brian. He loves to hear the details of her escapades with him. He never gets angry, or jealous – which ends up part of the problem with their relationship. Brian truly develops deep feelings for Kerry and when he discovers she is in a relationship, there is anger and heartache. I actually wasn’t sure how this would all end, but I love the ending. Very well done for such a short story.

Flipping for Chelsea by Emma Holly

Liam and Shay grew up as brothers after Shay’s parents died and he was taken in by Liam’s family. When Liam was 21 and Shay was 18, their best friend Chelsea decided to move away for college. When she came over to say goodbye, their friendship took a turn towards the physical. At the end of their fun, Shay reached for Liam, and Liam freaked out.

14 years later, Chelsea and Liam had tried to date a few times but it never worked out. But they are determined to try one more time. But they have an unexpected visitor – Shay, who had fled in embarrassment all those years ago is back, and the three of them try it again.

I enjoyed the first half of this story, that takes place 14 years prior, when all three experiment the one night in the romance department. The shame Shay feels for his mixed feelings of attraction to Liam is done well. In current day, it all seems a bit too easy for these three to get back together. Shay had been living out of state, only coming home for holidays because of his embarrassment over that one night so many years ago. But then he just walks in the house and sees Liam and Chelsea and all is fine. Liam admits to liking guys somewhat, and the three of them live happily ever after. Just seemed way too easy and didn’t work for me.

On the Job by Bethany Kane

Madeline can’t believe it when she runs into her former lover, Walker. Madeline is in a on/off again relationship with the very wealthy Tony, who has also gotten involved with the wrong type of people. He hires Walker, a former Secret Service agent for security after someone shot at Madeline. Unknown to Tony and Madeline, Walker is really there undercover, suspicious that Tony’s business dealings are illegal. Walker has also come to Tahoe to reunite with Madeline. He will have her – no matter what she says.

I’m not sure how to feel about On the Job by Bethany Kane (aka Beth Kery). Walker is VERY alpha. At first I kind of dug it, but after awhile it became too much. There are a few really hot scenes, but I think I needed him to loosen up just a bit more before I could enjoy him as a hero.

There is also a scene at the end involving Maddie, Walker and Tony that just makes no sense to me. It felt out of place, and it was kind of icky to me. I did like the setting in this one though, with Walker as a secret service agent and a hint of danger.

Rating: C

This anthology does have some pretty smokin’ love scenes in them. Overall, I would recommend, although I didn’t love some of the storylines.

****3.5 Stars****

Finished the first story by Lauren Dane. It was okay. I think it is worth a 3.5 star rating. I think it actually would have made a great full length story. I would love to know more about all of the characters. Dane must have had to do some trimming to get it to fit in the book, because a couple of times while reading I had to stop and re-read. Ms. Dane doesn't disappoint in the steam department. Very hot and there is a bit of m/m to the story, not in great detail, but it is there.

****4 Stars*****
Megan Hart's story was a 5 star right up to the end, when it just ended! LOL Yeah I know that sounds silly because every story ends, but there was so much conflict that needed more than a paragraph or two to resolve. But over all this was a great story! I love, love, love Megan Hart. When I am reading her books I can feel the emotions of the characters. I would recommend if you've never read anything by her to get this book, get a taste. Then go out and buy all her books. She writes deep emotional sensual books that make you think. No purple prose here people!

****5 Stars*****
Emma Holly is a new author to me. I really wasn't sure what to expect, well except for a ménage. Wow was I pleasantly surprised. For a short story, it was complete! See it can be done; there can be a beginning, middle and an end. There can be a short story where it feels nothing has been left out. That is what we get here. Flipping for Chelsea is my favorite of the whole book. I will be looking for more books by Emma Holly!

****3.5 stars****

Bethany Kane…who is also writes as Beth Kery one of my favorites writes the final story in the book. This story was less of a ménage and more of a Romantic suspense with an erotic twist! And baby was it twisted! I know Kery can write a great full length story with a serious Alpha male character, and her short was no exception. Walker was Alpha to the tenth degree…and I loved him! I look forward to Kery's (Kane) next contemporary.

Over all this was a 4 star read with 4 very likeable stories, but with very different characters. I suggest to anyone who hasn’t read something by one of these very talented ladies to purchase this book just to get a feel for each of the author's styles. I very much enjoyed the book. It's going on the "keeper shelf"

I was very displeased with this book for a lot of reasons. I didn't necessarily need menage in every story, even though it seems marketed as menage, but several of the stories were very anti-menage/anti-polyamory. I really don't want to be told that monogamy is the only acceptable type of relationship in a book that I thought would be all about non-monogamy.

dirty/bad/wrong: Sometimes hot, mostly just okay. The best story of the lot, for me, but still only 3 stars.

Just One Night: Yeah, okay, I thought Jeremy was kind of a jerk, but I got really mad that his desire to share Kerry became evidence that he didn't love her. The message seemed to be that polyamory isn't loving, which I find offensive and really off-message for a book intentionally about threesomes. One star.

Flipping for Chelsea: Didn't read because I'm not into incest - they were raised together, even if they aren't genetically related. No rating.

On the Job: Only skimmed this one because I loathe "alpha" heroes, non-consent, and most secret agent stories. It starts out with Maddie sexually harassing Walker at work, and then he sexually assaults her multiple times because she "wants" it - even though she is telling him no. THIS IS NOT ROMANTIC, IT'S RAPE. Again, this didn't feel as though it fit into the threesome theme, since Walker was super possessive and Maddie and Tony were barely even together. I hated everything about this. Negative five stars.

Five stars for the Emma Holly novella which is, as always, flawless erotic perfection. Have not yet read the others, but they could be textbooks on the uses of cheese and I would still give this collection five stars, because it's worth it just for the Holly novella. I think you're safe investing your money, however - Lauren Dane and Megan Hart are excellent writers (and not that the other writer is not - I'm just not yet familiar with her work!).

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane:
I am a huge Lauren Dane fan and I knew that her novella was going to be HOT! She did not disappoint. Ava is back in her hometown for her mother's funeral. Ava doesn't have great memories of Petal, Georgia. Her mother was a drunk, her father abused her and she grew up dirt poor. She is now a successful business woman living in L.A.; a far cry from the insecure teen that escaped the small town. The saving grace for Ava was her special friendship with Angelo and Luca. When Ava returns, she and Luca pick up where things left off. And Angelo joins in the fun. This story reminded me of Laid Bare. Two best guy friends who have feelings for each other but one is more hesitant to act on them than the other. The man love was super sexy and I wanted more. This story was hot from start to finish. There was so much more that could happen with Ava, Luca and Angelo and this could have easily been a full length novel. I was sad to see it in but Dane packed a punch in less than 100 pages. Have a change of underwear near by when you read this one.

Just for One Night by Megan Hart
We've always wondered about the one that got away. Kerry goes to her high school reunion, thinking about her old crush, Brian. Encouraged by her boyfriend Jeremy, Kerry sets out to seduce Brian. Luckily, Brian was looking forward to seeing Kerry and hoping that he would have the courage to finally approach her. They both have the same thing in mind, seduction, and have sex. Kerry thinks it's a one time thing until she can do nothing but think about Brian. What started as a one-night stand turns into something a lot more. I thought the premise of this story was good. Kerry's boyfriend, Jeremy, gets off on hearing about her sexcapades with Brian. I thought that this would lead to an eventual threesome but it doesn't. The ending kinda disappointed me because I was expecting something different. The sex scenes did not disappoint but they weren't has hot Dane's story.

Flipping for Chelsea by Emma Holly
More man love for the win! First I have to say that the fact that Shay and Liam are adopted brothers kinda threw me for a loop. They are not blood related but grew up together. If you can get past that fact, then you can enjoy the story, which I did. Shay and Liam both have a crush on their friend, Chelsea. Chelsea is getting ready to leave for college and she's ready to act on the feelings she has for Liam. Liam is hesitant to give in because he knows that Shay has been in love with Chelsea for forever. But little does Liam know, Shay is also in love with Liam. In the above garage room, Liam, Shay and Chelsea experiences something that changes their relationship and friendship forever. The threesome between Liam, Shay and Chelsea was a scorcher! The first 20 pages takes place in the past, when the three of them hook up. I instantly fell in love with Shay who is unsure and kinda shy. He's sure of his feelings but is scared to express them. I felt so bad for him! The relationship between the three is complicated especially as adults. This is another story that packs a lot of punch but left me wanting more, more, MORE!

On the Job by Bethany Kane
This novella started off with great potential but fizzled in the end for me. Walker is back in town, protecting Maddie. He left Maddie 10 years ago to pursue his own dreams. Maddie has never forgotten how Walker left her without looking back. And she plans on not letting him forget either. Like I said, the novella started off great with Maddie doing a little strip-tease and seduction scene to rattle Walker's cage. Maddie doesn't expect Walker to take her up on her offer and soon she's handcuffed and getting sexed up by Walker. I thought that their mutual friendship with Tony was going to play a factor in their sexual exploits more but it doesn't. What happens at the end seemed out of character for both Walker and Maddie and I didn't find it believable.

Flipping For Chelsea by Emma Holly
MyRating: A+

In Emma Holly's FLIPPING FOR CHELSEA, Shay and Liam shared an unforgettable night with their lifelong friend, Chelsea, awakening a rush of forbidden feelings--feelings they have to reckon with when the three reunite, and the unrequited lust between them is too much to bear.
My Review:
I LOVED this novella! These three have been friends since they were kids, but that didn't keep things from getting complicated fast when they spent an afternoon exploring those feelings. Now it's 14 years later and they all have sorted out in their heads where they want this relationship to go.
This story was beautiful. There is no doubt that all 3 of these characters love each other deeply. I love that as adults, they have all chosen complementary career fields... just another testament to how closely woven their psyches really are. This novella was sexy, heart-breaking, scintillating, and simply all-around HOT reading. LOVED it! I need to find more by Emma Holly!

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane
My Rating: A-
Though Ava left her hard-knock Georgia childhood behind, she never forgot Luca and Angelo. Together they were best friends with a bond that could never be broken. But when she returns, the three must decide whether to face the fires that burn between them, or forgo their desires forever in Lauren Dane's DIRTY/BAD/WRONG.
My Review:
Ava left town 10 years ago leaving things unresolved with Luca and Angelo after a passionate few months between the 3 of them. She hasn't seen either of them since, but they have all maintained contact. I liked that there is a true friendship between the 3 of them- it kept things really honest and upfront for them. The story line was hot and believable. I liked this one a lot esp. Angelo's character- he has a lot of depth that make the story that much more interesting.

Just One Night by Megan Hart
My Rating: B-
In Megan Hart's JUST ONE NIGHT, fun-loving couple Kerry and Jeremy find themselves in a triangle of trouble when Kerry's old crush, Brian, returns for a school reunion, and Jeremy gives her his enthusiastic approval to seduce him. But while Jeremy has no trouble sharing Kerry, Brian isn't sure he can handle what's coming.
My Review:
This was a different kind of menage & I can't decide whether I liked it or not. I definitely did not like Jeremy's character, but I loved Bryan and Kerry together. Overall, the story line was a bit "meh" for me.
Loved: Bryan
Liked: Kerry's boldness
Hated: Jeremy's attitude about Kerry

Years ago, Walker walked out on Madeline when she needed him most. Now, the ex-Secret Service agent is back--hired to protect Madeline by her billionaire boss, Tony. Madeline is determined to make him pay for denying her desires--and she's not above bringing Tony in to sweeten the deal in Bethany Kane's ON THE JOB.
My Review:
Hmmm, this story didn't do anything for me. I didn't really like any of the characters in the story so that was pretty much a killer for any enjoyment that I might have gotten out of the story.

I got this one for Megan Hart’s entry, so I wasn’t particularly bothered that my expectations based on the blurb weren’t met. But for those who are looking to read this one with the expectation that it contains four ménage stories, you might find yourself disappointed.

Even though this book is marketed with the misleading title of Three to Tango, along with the blurb which states:
”Four of erotic fiction’s most talented authors carry readers away with all-new tales of ecstasy that prove the most delectable things in life come in threes…”

only two of the fours stories feature ménage.

dirty/bad/wrong - Lauren Dane

Firstly, what is with the title of this one? Doesn’t go with the story at all. This was my first sample of Lauren Dane, and I enjoyed it. Ava returns back to her home town after running away a decade ago, and finds that the feelings she and best friends Luca and Anthony shared are stronger than ever. This one had a storyline about much more than just the sex (this is one of the ménage stories – m/m/f) and was surprisingly emotional. Very well done for a short.
4 stars

Just for One Night - Megan Hart

As always, Megan’s characters are fully developed and the sex sizzles. I couldn’t stand Jeremy (who was sending his girlfriend off for sex with her high-school crush so he could get off on the details later), but I can’t help but be impressed at the characterisation she managed in a short story where he wasn’t even on the page for a lot of it. Megan Hart again delivers a surprisingly complex, complete and emotional story in a handful of pages and makes the reader care. Impressive.
4 stars

Flipping for Chelsea - Emma Holly

This was my second short story by Emma Holly, but unfortunately I couldn’t get past the fact that Shay and Liam were brothers. Sure, they are not related by blood, but Shay and Liam have been brothers since Shay was 6 years old. I really, REALLY wish the author hadn’t done that, because it otherwise would have been a pretty good story. Unfortunately, this was the other ménage story (m/m/f), so it just felt skeezy and WRONG.
2.5 stars

On the Job - Bethany Kane

This was my first read from this author, and the hero was just too much of an uber-alpha for my liking. When the hero gets all Neanderthal, that spells the end for me. This was a suspense-type short, but with all the ‘punishing’ and dominating going on, what could have been a serious storyline became silly. Especially the bit at the end.

This collection has been in my TBR pile for a while. I finally got to it and it definitely fits the sexy Saturday. I picked this one up because of Emma Holly, Lauren Dane and Megan Hart. Reading Bethany Kane is a bonus.

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane. This story features a genuine polyamorous triad as opposed to simply menage, which I thought was interestingly different. It didn’t entirely work for me, though. Ava has returned to her home town for her mom’s funeral, after having run away and left two men she loved behind: both are eager to welcome her back. The first section was dull: Ava, Luca and Angelo jump back into rose-colored sexytimes with each other instantly, like she’d just gone out for cigarettes. When conflict did arise, the story became more interesting, but the conflict seemed inconsistent with what had happened at the beginning. 2 stars

Just One Night by Megan Hart. An excellent story, but I'm a little surprised to find it in this anthology: it's about a triangle, not a threesome, and its perspective is pretty negative. Kerry's boyfriend Jeremy gives her permission to seduce the boy she crushed on in high school -- in fact, he gets off on hearing about her with Brian. But both Kerry and Brian get emotionally involved and start to have serious problems with the set-up. The characters and emotions feel very authentic, and it was refreshing to see a story that tackles the potential downside of kinks, though it was perhaps more negative than it really needed to be. 4 stars

4 stars.

Flipping for Chelsea by Emma Holly. Another triad story, this one happily with some conflict. Shay and Liam's close-as-brothers relationship is spoiled after a joint sexual encounter with Chelsea, the girl they both love. Fourteen years later, none of them has ever been able to forget what they all might have had together. Lots and lots of very hot sex here, but also a serious ewww factor -- although not actually related, the two men are essentially siblings. The length of time apart seemed kind of depressing, too. 3.5 stars.

On the Job by Bethany Kane. This really felt out of place in an otherwise very sex-positive anthology -- dubious consent, stereotypically feisty "untamed" heroine, mind games, un-negotiated BDSM. It might not have bothered me so much in another context, but here it stuck out like a sore thumb. The threesome aspects seemed really forced, too. 1 star.

This was a really good anthology. I enjoyed all the stories, they were very erotic yet still managed to contain a plot! The third story was especially endearing, I loved the comradery between old freinds who become new lovers.

I was eager to read this anthology written by four of today’s most talented erotica authors. I’ve read all but Emma Holly, so I knew there’s some darned great reading to be had. I wasn’t too far off in my prediction. All the novellas featured here pretty good, and, as goes with reading anthologies, I like a couple better than others. But if you’re looking for some sizzling erotic stories, this one will satisfy any and all needs.

Flipping for Chelsea by Emma Holly

This is my first ever read of Emma Holly. I’m happy I do like this short read, because sometimes if you don’t care much for an author’s novella, it’s hard to pick up one of their full-length novels later on.

We first meet Chelsea, Luca, and Liam in 1997 when they’re young and have their futures ahead of them. Chelsea is heading off to college and she wants one last night with her two best friends. She’s always had a crush on Liam from a really early age and that’s grown into a love that is heartfelt, but it also that causes problems within the trio when they finally come together for their good-bye, even after one hot night.

Then we jump ahead to 2011 when Chelsea returns home, hoping things can somehow be better between them all. But Shay is the one who felt he was intruding on the love Liam and Chel shared, so he too has been gone, working all these years in Boston. It’s Liam and Chelsea who bridge the chasm that’s built up from years of silence and lone suffering.

When Luca makes a surprise visit, Liam has decisions to make if he wants to share in the love of these friends he’s missed for so long. This is a nice friends-to-lovers story with the extra fun of a threesome. The sex, of course, is as hot as can be. I like the characters well enough, but I feel they need a little more depth. Otherwise, a good first story for me from Emma Holly.

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane

I’ve only read Lauren Dane’s Cascadia Wolves series so far, though I probably have every darned book on her backlist around here somewhere. You know, so many books too little time. I like this novella, but I have to say that I prefer her humor and her shifters. But that’s just me.

Ava is back in Petal to wrap up her mother’s life and home. With both parents now gone, she can hopefully truly forget the horrible childhood she’d suffered, all with the help of Angelo and Luca, her best friends. She’s turned into a confident, independent woman after years in L.A., so these few days in Petal should be a breeze. But she doesn’t count on the feelings that flood through her seeing the family who loved her more than her own.

And, of course, there’s Angelo and Luca and they’re happy to see Ava, want her to stay with them longer than she’s planned. They want the chance to convince her to stay with them permanently, to show her how good it can be for the three of them. And it definitely is good between them. They sizzle right off the page with a touch or a kiss, so you can imagine what happens with all that sex goin’ on.

Another friends-to-lovers read. I like the characters, and there’s more depth in this story with the telling of Ava’s growing up years, all she went through and how she’s changed. However, I do want a little more, considering this is Lauren Dane. But it does satisfy in all the right places.

Just One Night by Megan Hart

Up to this point, Just One Night is my favorite of the anthology. It’s one of those make-your-dream-come-true stories, all at the behest of a man who thinks he’s doing his girlfriend a favor. Jerk gets his, though.

Kerry is attending her high school reunion with one mission in mind - spending one night with her old crush, Brian. She has the “permission” of her boyfriend, Jeremy, because he wants her happy and he knows this will make her happy. So meeting up with and loving Brian for the night is a dream come true, one she’ll remember forever.

Brian has hopes to see Kerry at the reunion, but he never thinks things could go as far as they do. And he wants more from Kerry than just one night, so he finally calls her. Again, Jeremy has no problem with Kerry meeting up with Brian. In fact, he encourages it. If he knows about it, it’s not a lie, it’s not cheating. Okay, bud, whatever you say. One thing leads to another, Brian learns about Jeremy, but he still can’t resist Kerry. But after meeting Jeremy, Brian has to walk away from the love of his life.

I’m so happy that Kerry finally wakes up to the kind of love Jeremy says he has for her. Great scene. I really like Kerry and Brian, and, well, you can already figure out how I feel about Jeremy. I’m also glad to find another Megan Hart story I like. I’ve been a tad disappointed in the last couple I’ve read, especially after enjoying my first by her, Tempted, so much. This is a very good read.

On the Job by Bethany Kane

Of the four stories, this is my favorite. I’ve not read Bethany Kane per se before, but I have read her other alias, Beth Kery. So I guess you can say I’m not surprised I enjoyed this novella. We’re given more of a story that works the erotica into it instead of the other way around.

Walker Gray is retired from the Secret Service and is back in Lake Tahoe to establish his own business, but in the meantime he’s helping a friend with protection and security. The man’s fiance has been the target of an assassination attempt, so they need to find out what the hell is going on. The kink in the plan is the fiance is Madeline, the same Madeline whom Walker loved and left years before.

And Madeline is not happy he’s back. She tries to punish him in various ways, but right off the bat she learns such trying things won’t work with Walker. The first scene in which Walker is pushed too far at Maddie’s misplaced teasing is perfect. Walker doesn’t put up with much and he makes sure Maddie knows that. The dinner table scene is also one I love. All sizzling and steamy. You end up as hot and bothered as Madeline.

I like the twist that comes about at the end. All must face consequences, some good and some bad. It’s Walker who makes the story for me. He’s totally alpha. I kept thinking what a hot and sexy Highlander he would make. Yeah, it’s the historical reader who loves the Scottish in me. He’s perfect for such a role and perfect just as he is. I’m smitten.

A very, very satisfying read.

When I read erotic books, I like a story to go along with all the sexual goings-on, which is what the Kane delivered. The other three stories deal only with what’s between the characters in terms of what happened with them in the past and then how they get reacquainted for the future, no other storyline to keep things more interesting.

All in all, this is a nice collection, and even if you haven’t read one or more of these authors, I think you’ll still have a sexy, smokin’ time with the characters they’ve created.

Review originally posted at Secret HEA Society.

When I got the chance to review this anthology I actually jumped up and down like a madwoman. I love Ms Dane's and Ms Hart's writing and both in one book was just too good to be true. In retrospect I'm even more happy I read it because I discovered another great author.

Dirty/Bad/Wrong by Lauren Dane - 5 stars
This story has all the reason why I love Lauren's writing. It's sexy as hell- we have some serious dirty talking and the general sexual openness I admire in her work. She isn't afraid to take the unconventional route even in a genre that already is exactly that. We get a menage where the guys are also in love. *swoon* I love that. Why? Because I always doubt these scenarios where the guys just love the woman and still live together happily forever after. I like when the love is more balanced out and for me it's just what I want to read about in a book like this.
Second fact why I love her books- she has a way to create these family bonds- even when the "family" isn't the real blood related one. She threads all the emotions together and you won't be able to stay detached. She just grabs your heart and you will fall in love with her characters. Just wonderful. Her characters are wonderful fleshed out and each one of them has a special feel- it makes them special in their own and give the story itself more vibrancy. One of my favorite stories by Ms Dane.

Just One Night by Megan Hart - 4 stars
Again Ms Hart chose one of the harder ways to approach the threesome topic. I love the way she always does that- she catches your interest with raising one of those "moral" questions (okay that sounds weird but it kind of is like this) and then pushes you through the story on your way to discover how she will solve it

Jeremy is the mysterious boyfriend that likes the idea of letting his girlfriend fuck her teenage crush. At first he really seemed fun and yes some people have kinks like that but a bit into the story I started thinking about what kind of boyfriend that is? Does he actually love her? These are also some questions Kerry asks herself. She is concerned about what her actions will actually mean to the working relationship she lives in. Will she ruin this? Does she care if she does? Because when she really is honest she wants it too. Brian isn't only her teenage crush- he still is one of her fantasies and don't we love it when those are even better in real life?
Brian is a nice guy in contrast to our first 2 protagonists- the guy you would fall in love with in high school and always dream about later in your life. He's not as "dirty" as these two are and he's a bit thrown headfirst into the mix without any real warning. But he learns fast and with the passion he and Kerry have going between each other it's no real surprise.
In the middle of the story the tension rose so much I just couldn't stop reading..- a heart-wrenching sitution that will make you ache. Again a very emotionally intense story I love through and through.

Flipping for Chelsea by Emma Holly - 5 stars
Okay i admit my first thought was WTF seriously? But luckily my misinterpretation of the beginning solved itself really fast and nearly immediately changed into OMFG hawt. Shay and Liam are very different characters. The young Shay we meet in the first chapter really broke my heart. He is a nice guy with a tragic past that was just so cute. He's a teenage boy with a huge crush not only on his best friend, Chelsea, but also on his "brother" (who isn't really his brother *whew*) Liam. He can't help it but he wants them both and he knows that if he ever shows his attraction in front of Liam he will lose the precious friendship they share. This made me so sad- love should never be something you have to hide but unfortunately sometimes it's the only way to keep something you treasure more than anything save. Liam on the other side is more mature and let's say it as it is more built. *swoon* I loved him- the young and the older one. He's demanding but not overbearing. Caring but not to mushy- just the right mix for my taste. When the story progressed into the present time the tension between our characters was even stronger. I loved how everything in this story fit together- the characterization, the story and the sex scenes just fit and made it a whole thing that was wonderfully balanced.
The sex scene in the first chapter really caught me off guard and made me sit around with an open mouth- now I'm not even sure why. It wasn't something I never read about before but Ms Holly wrote it in a way that blew me away- in a really burning hot way. I don't know why I never read her books before but I already order 3 other books- so you can see it was awesome.

On The Joby by Bethany Kane - 3 stars
This one was sadly my least favorite in this anthology. It seems Ms Kery's writing is a hit or miss for me. For my taste the characterisation was too shallow and the sex to intense in comparism. I couldn't really follow why the attraction between them was burning so hot and even more I didn't get why Madeline submitted so easily to Walker. My connection to the characters didn't grow enough- so I actually felt pretty detached while reading it. I also thought that Walker got away with too much but perhaps that resolutes in my non-understanding of their relationship. The story was still really hot even though it pushed some of my buttons. The plot was nice at first but it resolved too easily. It really took the second row and the sex was too much the focus. Don't get me wrong I like my smut like any girl but I actually would have more depth around it.

Three to Tango is one of the best anthologies I ever read. It kept me glued to the pages and actually prevented me from doing the important stuff for one whole day. A great collection of erotic romance which also delivers the emotional depth I love in my books. Highly recommended read!

Spicy! I picked this one up in The Ripped Bodice in Culver City, CA, having enjoyed Lauren Dane's Laid Bare, which also centers around a M/M/F relationship. Her contribution to this four-novella volume does not disappoint. Ava returns to her hometown for the funeral of her vile mother and must face her former lovers Luca and Angelo. They resume their former triad and help Ava weather her shame over her awful family. It's a familiar scenario for menage stories, but Dane writes it so well. Semi-spoiler: one of the remaining novellas delivers a love triangle that doesn't lead to bedded bliss. I appreciated that--the complex emotions involved in a menage were handled realistically, I thought. All four novellas delivered exactly what I was looking for: a sexy, entertaining romp.

I checked this out for the Emma Holly story, which did not disappoint. She has a talent for writing ménage stories that don’t feel like wish fulfillment fantasy, but like something that could actually happen. I also enjoyed the story with Kerry and Jeremy and Brian, which has a very satisfying conclusion. The other two entries were...okay. Threesomes aren’t my favorite sub genre anyway, so I might not be the best judge.
