I wasn't sure what star rating to give to this book. Some parts I really liked and other parts i strongly disliked. So i went right down the middle with 3 stars.

The beginning was great. The story idea was good and the characters were right. I liked Izzy from the first book and the short chapters kept me reading easily.

The middle dragged enough to lull me into sleep. It doesn't matter how short the chapter is when you are reading about a boring makeover. Its also not fun reading about people getting drunk. And the hangover seduction was unpleasant.. I was ok with the distracting massage part but then he started kissing her even though she had just been violently ill. It was a complete turn off. I had 3 thoughts as i read on in horror: 1. Eww 2. How long will this go on? and 3. Please, please don't let them have sex right now.

Then when we do get to a sex scene it is lacking in details and just not right somehow. I couldn't picture it with his injuries and I was just sort of lost.

But then I read the climax of the story and it was almost like it was a different author. I could picture the house, the power outage, the flashlights and the storm with lightning flashes and branches hitting the windows. It was creepy and the storm added a great layer of suspense. I could see the dog as he raced out to help and the shadowy hillside where every movement was a potential bad guy. This was the best part of the book. It sucked me in and made me stay up late to finish it.

Unfortunately, the end was back to disappointment. For the entire book, every single person is pushy toward Annie and trying to run her life, her sister forcing makeovers and lingerie on her, Izzy following her around and Sam pushing sex on her. I mean, can't this supposedly smart business woman make up her mind about anything at all? Now at the end, we have them all being pushy again to get her to marry Sam. I'm sorry but if you need a whole platoon of people to push you into marrying someone, that's just not very romantic, and there's a good chance that marriage just isn't the right answer. I was so severely disappointed with this unromantic end that i wished the author had found a way to end it back at the house in the storm.

So to sum up, i am confused and not in a good way. I do have the next book in the series but I won't be jumping to read it. In fact, i may even just get rid of it. It is Taylor's book and I did not like her selfish personality and her pushy, " I know what's best for you", attitude toward her sister.

Annie runs a resort spa. She helps people with mobility problems. She meets Sam on summer and he tells her he is going down to Mexico coast. Six weeks later, he is seen by millions rescuing school children in a runaway bus. He is badly hurt and needs a place to recover and recuperate undetected. The Navy sends him to Annie's resort. Read all the thrilling details. Teague is also involved. One of my very favorite characters.

This is book number 3 in the Seal Code name series and I cant get enough! These are my guilty pleasure reads. Its a fast paced read that involves romantic tension, a plot that ties up neatly.

I love that the series starts off with a main character who brings his teammates in to help out then those team mates get their own books so you get their backstory. For that reason I would suggest reading them in order but they also read well as stand alone.

Definitely more interesting than book two of this series. I do love that Iggy is in all of them. When does he get his own book??

I liked the characters and the intrigue but I must be too old cuz there was just so much lust that could have been edited out. I got it. They were passionately in love/lust but seriously ...

This book has actually turned into something of a mystery all in its own right. I went to find the book so that I could write this review, only to discover it seems to be missing! I have checked my boxes of books to get rid of, my shelves of books to keep, my stack of read but not reviewed, and my to-be-read stacks. It's simply "poofed" from the existence of my house. Hunh. So needless to say, I had to snag my synopsis from Goodreads this time. I'm a little bummed, because I do remember enjoying this book.

My Spy has a little bit of everything for everyone, and it's part of a series so you can stay with the characters a bit. This is a story that's got romance, action, suspense, and humor at times.

The character's interactions are realistic, their personalities are dynamic, and while the military aspect might be a touch outside realistic it's entertaining.

Ha! I just figured out why I can't find it. I checked it out from the library. I was just thinking, "Wait. I know I've read Annie's sister's story, so why don't I have the book...let me check something." I looked up the series, and yep, there they were. Hot Pursuit is the next in the series and it's a you-should-read-this-book too.

So, if you haven't heard of or read Christina Skye yet, then I'd recommend you check her out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Her characters are definitely her strength and she plays to it. So you're in for some fun!

Annie and Sam had an incredibly hot and heavy fling a month ago while Sam was sailing down to Mexico. They both knew it couldn't last long but that didn't stop it from hurting when they had to part ways. Now here Annie is, still at her spa and resort, seeing Sam on television saving a bunch of kids on an out of control school bus.

Not long after she gets a phone call from a government agent letting her know they are bringing Sam to her spa for recuperation and physical therapy, from her. But Sam doesn't remember any of their time together. He doesn't even remember her, which might be the thing that hurts the most.

So now Annie has to deal with not only helping this man she has feelings for recuperate, but a meddling sister, and a stalkerish client who refuses to take no for an answer.

I felt so bad for Annie when she met Sam again and he had no idea who she was. You could just feel the kick to the gut. And even though she is outrageous I loved Annie's sister, Taylor. I want to be friends with her! She was awesome and protective of Annie and I laughed when it turned out she knew Izzie from some of her book research.

Sam was a mystery from the beginning. I couldn't ever really predict what he was going to do or say so it was enjoyable reading his reactions. One thing that confused me was his memory loss, it was a little random but it added to the story so I can't complain!

Third in the Series.
Annie O'Toole is overworked and seems to love it. A month ago she had a steamy affair with a man on his way to Mexico in his sailboat. So, what is he doing on top of a runaway school bus in Washington D.C. dressed in a Navy uniform?
Sam McKade is a hero all the way. He's on his way to report on his latest top secret mission when a runaway school bus needs saving. He steps in to save the day, but nearly loses his life in the process and does lose his memory.
Annie gets tasked to help her hero heal, but he doesn't remember her and she can't forget him. Sam finds her intriguing, but can't figure out why.
Annie and Sam have great chemistry--hot right from the start. I enjoyed the push and pull they had. She was a little annoying at the end, but I found that in the first couple of books in the series the heroines were the same way.
Izzy is back from Overboard and just as likable as before. I'm not sure he gets his own story, but it would be nice to know more about this intriguing character.
Good series that I will keep reading...

My Spy - Ok
Christina Sky
Running the coastal California spa that has been in her family for three generations has left Annie O'Toole with little time for a love life, except for a brief affair with a mysterious man who left for Mexico on his yacht. The next time she sees Sam McKade, he's on television, a hero who rescued children from a speeding bus that slammed into a cement barrier. Broken, bleeding, and suffering from amnesia, Sam, actually a Navy SEAL, is sent to Annie's spa for rehabilitation in the hope that he'll regain his lost memories that are essential to national security. Devastated that he doesn't even recognize her, workaholic Annie does her best to restore Sam to health while keeping him hidden and safe from whoever it is that wants him dead. Sam is a perfect adventure-hero romantic lead, the incredibly fit and smart Annie is his perfect match, and Izzy Tegue, a Denzel Washington clone, is also on the scene, providing much-needed security.

Choppy, disjointed, time sequences don't jive and a whole lot of technical issues that distract from what is a very good plot. The angst level is also on the high side.

Annie and SEAL Sam got friendly at her resort in Big Sur, CA while he was undercover working to find a traitor. Someone is sabotaging programs at the Naval Weapons Test Center, China Lake, CA (Go China Lake! I actually have been at this facility.) Sam is back in Washington to report to Admiral Howe. On his way, he encounters a runaway school bus full of children and becomes a national hero when he stops the bus. He is thrown and badly injured, losing his memory also. The Navy sends him back to Annie to rehab and, hopefully, get his memory back. This is difficult for Annie. When he left he took a piece of her heart with him. They rekindle their passion, except at first Sam doesn't remember her. The bad guys track him down and the good guys win.

I have read a couple in this series and liked this one the best. The beginning with the bus accident was very exciting and suspenseful and Sam is a hero I took to immediately. I also liked Annie and Taylor and sisterly relationship. The ending at the cabin was also exciting - how can you not like a grand finale that includes a helocopter attack and a dog named Donegal?

But I found one thing annoying and I think it's due to what I like as a reader - not to any flaws in the book. I was all getting into the growing relationship between Sam and Annie, plus the weirdness with that icky lawyer and I felt bored by a fairly long bit about Annie's spa treatments and the undies she was wearing and all of that. I know it was sisterly bonding thing with Taylor, but I could have skipped it - it just seemed to be a distraction from what I was really interested in.

This book was full of adverntures and adrelline. I loved this book, and would recommend this book to anyone fond of romance. It ended with a hapily ever after like every romance novels. I thought this book was so well described, that i was watching the whole even happen instead of reading about it. This book was definently a page turner, and I was able to understand how the protagonist was feeling every second of the adventure.

I liked this book a lot. I've liked all of her "Code Name" books. This seems to be one of the first Navy Seal books before the Code Name books. Sam McKade recovers at Annie's resort unable to remember how he was hurt or the details of the mission or his prior relationship with Annie. Skye cleverly weaves in characters (like Izzy) who are smart and cunning. She is also able to make me feel like I know these characters. Great plot and story.

The title is a bit of a misnomer. The lead male is a Navy SEAL and the lead female owns/runs an exclusive resort. Neither is a spy. That being said the story is still very good with several intriguing twists. I enjoyed the descriptions of the scenery, the sister's creativity & caring, and the reappearance of 'Izzy' from "Going Overboard". This is a fast paced story that you'll want to read straight through. Enjoy it, and dream of gorgeous beaches and hot Navy SEALS.

There was a time when I was buying Skye's books as they came out. But when she really shifted her focus to contemporary (from historical and supernatural/time-travel), she dropped off my radar. I picked this up mainly because it looked like it could be fun, and it was free (go-go strip-cover!). And it was fun. Cute. God love those amnesiac secret-agent-Navy-SEALS-types.

i think this is my favorite soo far in the series. The man female character, Annie, manages to not get on my nerves like the others. and Sam, he was willinly to take a chance on Annie, when usually it's the women who demands more. i like that about him. it was pretty good and i can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Not your run of the mill book about a Navy SEAL so it was fun to read. I loved reading about the spa and the different exercises Annie used on Sam to try and heal his shoulder and his partially rebuilt knee after a heroic accident.

The suspense was just enough to want you to continue reading at the end of each chapter.

I love this series by Christina Skye. Each story stands on it's own but when reading them all, the story is only enhanced. These are fast paced and quite edgy. In my opinion, these stories are for adult readers.

Highly recommended.
