When I was a beginning teacher, I glommed onto Lee Canter, who was the trend-du jour. This was one of the books I read. I believe, if I am not mistaken, this book was provided in a workshop I attended.

This is one of many Canter books I have and read multiple times. Collectively, these books helped shape how I approach classroom management to this day.
