Dark Court #3

My Eternal Love

Rate this book
Brandon Thomas liked his job as an orderly at the Gervais Institute of Study, but then, things had started to get a little weird. The military moved in, and armed soldiers roamed the halls. Told to report to his supervisor, he's surprised to learn that he has received a promotion.

Brandon's promotion turns into a nightmare when he finds himself poked and prodded by a mad doctor and told he's become part of a government experiment. Escaping seems impossible, until a sexy man with beautiful blue eyes comes to Brandon's rescue.

One thing leads to another, and Brandon finds himself bonded to a Seelie elf from another world. On the run from the institute's retrieval team, Brandon tries to understand everything Kavin is explaining about his world and his kind, all the while wondering if the man is crazy. He has to be, right?

Seeking to keep Brandon safe, Kavin forces the man through the veil between worlds. When circumstances prevent Kavin from immediately following Brandon through the veil, Brandon ends up in the Unseelie Court and in the hands of a total stranger. With no hope of escape, Brandon wonders if he will ever see his perfect elf again.

About Me
I believes the only thing sexier than a man in cowboy boots is two, or three men in cowboy boots. I also believes in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and happy endings.

I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

I welcomes comments from readers, so drop me a line. stormyglenn@hotmail.com

What do I do ?
I'm a writer of erotic, paranormal, werewolf, futuristic, contemporary, gay, and Ménage a Trois romances. I'm currently published with Siren Publishing, Torquere Press, and Noble Ellora's Cave.

This was a great sequel to first two books in the Dark Court series. Just like in the first two, the plot in the overall story thickened, emotions were intense, and there was yet another, somewhat surprising, case of male pregnancy. I loved the humor, especially in the first third of the book, before events took a turn for the worse.

Brandon is a pretty regular guy who gets thrown in at the deep end when the ‘mad scientist’ decides to experiment on him. He takes it all in stride – by ignoring that it may be true. When he finds out all the craziness in his new world he takes it pretty well, except by then he is in such deep trouble that it takes months for his partner to even find him.

Kavin is one of the royal Seelie princes, but he’s only interested in making sure Brandon is safe. He takes to the role of the big strong protector really well and I loved how stubborn and determined he was to get Brandon back.

As perfect as this third volume was, there are quite a few story threads that still need resolution. I can only hope Stormy Glenn gets around to writing the next few volumes soon! This is such a delightful fantasy world, and I have come to care about the people in it a lot. If you don’t mind the male pregnancy part, like fantasy worlds that are definitely removed form or reality and enjoy reading about bonded mates fighting to be together, you will probably enjoy this book as much as I have.

I can’t believe that I spaced the release of this third book in the ‘Dark Court’ series and I’m only just now reading Brandon and Kavin’s story. I adore this author’s work and the first two installments were exciting, fun, and beyond sexy, so I knew this novella would be as well.

Brandon was working at the Institute that functions as a cover for the mad doctor who experiments on the fae who are captured on this side of the Veil. Brandon, of course, had no clue what was really going on, he just came in every night and did his job as an orderly. Until the night he’s told he’s been given a promotion, the whacko doctor does a bunch of tests on him while Brandon is drugged to the gills, and then he’s given an injection of the doctor’s special serum causing Brandon’s libido to shoot through the roof and a few other anomalies to occur.

I read these books awhile back and have reread them. I Love this series! I only have one question...

Will there ever be another book? Not all questions are answered and the end sets up the next story, but I wonder if this series was dropped and not continued.
I WANT ANOTHER BOOK! I want to read Sareed's story!

This is the 3rd and final book in the dark court series. all things must end but was sad to see it end. Kavin may be a prince but all he can think and want is mate back. the search is on to find his mate and when he does he has a lot work to do. Brandon has been experiment on by the crazy's. but the bond that these two have is so strong that the ones that don't want their union are unable to break. The characters will make you feel as if you know them. this is a must read series today!!!

Brandon is working as an orderly in a medical institution which has been getting weirder by the day. Rumours are flying around about odd experiments and soldiers have taken over the place. When Brandon is offered a promotion and told he must first undergo a physical to make sure he is adequate for the job, his situation quickly turns into a nightmare and he finds out that the rumours aren’t quite as farfetched as he thought. Kavin is a royal elf who has been sent by his parents to the human world to investigate the disappearance of so many of his kind. To do so he infiltrates the institution that seems to be at the centre of it all and discovers his mate. However, before he can find a way to talk to him, Brandon is taken by Dr.Carson and he has to find a way to get him out of there and take him to his world to keep him safe.

I really enjoyed this new addition to the Dark Court series. How couldn’t I when it contained elves, parallel universes, drama in the elfin and human world, a mad scientist hoping to take over the world and, oh yes, mpreg? We got to reacquaint ourselves with old characters, were introduced to new ones and had a first row ticket to the developments going on between not only the humans and the elves but also the Seelie and Unseelie Courts.

The reason for why the humans the elves are taking as mates are compatible with them was interesting, even though I was still rather confused since I don’t think it was adequately explained and this happened a couple of times throughout the story. Such as when Brandon and Kavin were separated and the former didn't seem to be sure about his feelings or how Torin seemed so attracted to Brandon...

I’m also very curious about the two new mated couples; especially Torin, Kavin’s long lost brother, and his seemingly abused leannán Kenna and can't wait for the next book in the series. Hopefully some aspects of the story will be made clearer.

I have so many questions about the characters I don't feel any closure.

There were lots of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors
and I think the time line is completely mixed up

Major spoiler-age....

you have been warned...

spoiler here
I think they knew about the gates and the stones when they shouldn't have, because they escaped at the same time as Monte and he was the one with the information.
Also
What was with knowing Gaelic etc when Brendan was drugged?
What was Brendan injected with, in the first place, to make him bond and speak Gaelic?
Wasn't Kevan obviously an elf when he was undercover, a haircut ain't much of a disguise.

How did Torin fit in with the Unseelie, did he have a stash of hair dye?

So many questions that I need the whole series finished before I can read any more so I don't get stuck with so many open endings.

Will every story start with the same meeting of the heroes? <-- men get kidnapped, evil Dr Carson, forced to have sex, they bond, they escape - ta da!

I suspect I am over-thinking this series

typical stormy glenn romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical stormy glenn? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).

laziness dictates i will use this as my template for all books by the following authors unless a book is remarkably good/bad :
stormy glenn
lynn hagen
scarlet hyacinth
joyee flynn
carol lynne
gabrielle evans

also? very annoyed b/c it's been 10 months since this was published with a freaking teaser at the end about sareed, and i'm still freaking waiting.

If you see through the male pregnancies (I know...I picked this book) it is a nice read. Though the inconsistencies bugged me way more. It could be that this author is working on too many books at the same time, but sometimes there are plot turns and a character says something that just doesn't make sense.

My Eternal Love was a nice read but all the inconsistencies in the plot kept distracting me. This is a book that would've benefited a lot from a really good copy editor.
