Meh. It holds up over time (except omg why are the heroines of YA books published from 1975-1985 MAKING THEIR OWN CLOTHES? so few teens did that during that time!) but wasn't outstanding. Kate's a little too under-invested in her own life but its probably more a case of how things were at the time of publishing. And I like the whole soaps concept, having been hooked on them myself at the time.

This was one of favorite books growing up. I recently gave it to my daughter and had to re-read it myself. The story still holds up, driven by a very strong voice and great characters. It is a coming of age romance, and I love it!

I love this book about a teenager who unexpectedly gets a job starring in a soap opera, and only wish it were twice as long!

This was a cute book. I didn't care to much for the ending though.

This story would have been good had it been clearer! Cleaner with the writing and not so comfusing. Otherwise it would've been a great read. Sry.
