Planet Builders #4

Visions from the Sea

Rate this book
The time: 2520
The place: The planet Gauguin, a world of soaring mountains, glowing phosphorescent seas, and glittering black sands. A world more beautiful —and more dangerous—than its colonists ever dreamed possible.

The seas of the newly colonized planet remain largely unexplored, so Philippa, Will, and Arkady consider themselves incredibly lucky to be sent on a marine research expedition. Their destination is the Colvisle Archipelago, a ring of volcanic islands which holds a promise of adventure—and danger.

Will and Arkady immediately begin to check out reports of malfunctioning instruments on the ocean floor, while Noriko and Daphne, two other members of the expedition, find themselves mysteriously drawn to a vision of a fabulous underwater city But Philippa, confined to the research station, realizes to her horror that there is a connection between these unusual occurrences, and that they warn of an approaching tidal wave that threatens to engulf them all.
