This series was a favorite when I was a kid, like maybe eleven or twelve? I was just idly thinking about them recently and was delighted to see the first four books on sale for cheap on eBay. I wasn't sure if they'd turn out to be terrible or what, but I'm enjoying rereading them! They have a real "Early TNG" feel. Not sure I'd recommend them to eleven year olds in 2021 but fun for me to revisit a childhood fave. Will definitely look for the rest of the series on eBay.

I also encountered these books as a kid--probably 5th or 6th grade? They were one of the first series I read, and I've re-read them a few times since. I still enjoy them! They're a good, interesting, easy read, good for younger audiences, as well as for those who just want a nice fun read.

I read this book for the first time more 30 years ago as a young United States Marine. I fell in love with the entire series. It is still to this day one of my favorites. It really holds up with time.
