With her ravenous desire to succeed, it’s no surprise she hides her monstrosity from the world. Easier said than done once she sleeps with her infuriating coworker and lets her succubus secret slip. But it’s a one-time thing; she’s not jeopardizing her career over a night with Pye…
No matter how much she can’t stop thinking about it.
Pye understands hunger, too.
Being famished for something they can't have, mouth watering at the sight of her...but Pye and Avirin agreed to be friends, and since faeries can’t lie, he’ll keep his late-night thoughts to himself. But when Pye introduces Avirin to the world of monsters she’s long avoided, they both have a hard time forgetting what they did together…
And a harder time remembering why they can’t cross that line again.
Note: Pye uses “he” and “they” pronouns interchangeably throughout this book.
Warning: This 51k novel is a F/Nbi romance between a succubus and a death’s-head hawkmoth fae. It is intended only for adult audiences. Reader discretion is advised.

Aveda Vice (any pronouns) is a pansexual author of unconventional kink and monstrous romances. In their books, you’ll find a fondness for queer creatures, polyamorous love, and grumpy girls. She falls down rabbit holes, decorates every day like it’s Halloween, and is going to hell.
I'm so in love. Everything about this book SIMMERED with heat, longing, desperation, DEVOTION. Ugh, someone needs to simp for me this hard.
Usually if the characters have already f*cked (and I mean F*CKED), either at the beginning of the book or, in this case, in a prequel novella, I don't much care for the romance that follows, because the WANTING tends to die down afterwards. By that, I mean there's nothing for me to want to happen between them, and also the tension between them isn't as FRAUGHT with possibility and hunger as before, because they got what they wanted right?
Wrong.
Pye wanted. Insatiably and DESPERATELY. More desperately than before, because now he/they had had a taste and there's no coming back. Unf. It was delicious.
But beyond the OUTRAGEOUS, mind-blowing sex, Pye was so reverent and respectful of Avirin. Only pushing where absolutely necessary, never asking for more than she could give and doing so with only the barest hint of barely restrained lust and love.
"I can't lie." Their throat aches from swallowing the confession. "So please don't ask."
That thud was the sound of my freshly dead corpse hitting the ground. You can just walk around it.
I'm usually not into OW/OM being involved Sexually or otherwise, when the main couple has been established, but it didn't take too much away from my enjoyment of the text. After all, these people shouldn't be bound by human norms since they...aren't. There's healthy NB and Bi representation, one of the characters is autistic and they touch on the topic of sex work, as well as the stigma surrounding female sexuality and it's all so well rounded and not preachy. Impressive for such a short text.
There is an ABUNDANCE of sex, but it doesn't get too tiring, I think part of the reason for this is that it isn't written in lots of halting, fade to black scenes that are DEEPLY annoying and unfulfilling to the reader, nor does it completely eclipse the plot, or get used as a cure-all. This sh*t is DESCRIPTIVE and lengthy, Vice dedicated TIME to this, but it isn't all the characters have between them and that's why it's always so electric when it does happen.
"Beg for it, pretty girl." How do I articulate what this line does to me, when I'm speechless like this? Simultaneous degradation AND praise kink?! Human boys could never. So demanding, so gentle? Aveda needs to write a manual that I will hand to all of my prospective sexual partners.

Remember to read Feed before you read this book. That short story is the first real chapter of this one. And it’s also fantastic.
Aveda Vice created an unique masterpiece with this book. Her writing style, character dynamics and complex study of emotions, trauma and love trapped me and refused to let go.
This story focuses on Avirin, a succubus, and Pye, a non-binary death's-head hawkmoth fairy. They are coworkers and if you ask Avi, they don’t get along well. This book follows both characters as they grow obsessed with each other. Don’t expect more plot than the romance, you don’t need it anyway. Their relationship was enough to carry the whole book.
Avirin is such a complex, fascinating character. I wish we had gotten more backstory to get to understand her better. But her conflict and her self discovery and acceptance was beautiful. I loved how she was the grumpy in this monstruous grumpy/sunshine romance.
Pye was even better than in Feed. They were caring and attentive and always put Avi before himself. There’s something about the love interest simping for the girl that always gets me going. And Pye was the biggest simp.
Their romance was definitely out of the norm. There’s a very satisfactory HEA, but they have an open relationship. Just saying in case that’s not your cup of tea. I personally didn’t mind at all. Even when they were fooling around with someone else, they were focused on each other. And when they talked about their other sexual encounters, it only made them grow closer. It surprised me how well done this aspect of their unique relationship was. It could’ve become such a hot mess so easily, but Aveda Vice made their open relationship one of the reasons why the romance worked so well.
If you’re in the mood for impressive writing skills mixed up with kinky monster smut, deep emotions and a surprising amount of warm feels, this book is perfect for you!
This book was steamy, poetic, and had so very much symbolism packed inside. Pye and Avirin had such an interesting dynamic. They had the whole “love to hate you” vibe going on that took a spicy turn in the previous book. Avirin went through so much personal growth and a journey of self-acceptance in this book that Pye supported her in, in their chaotic way. Avirin supported Pye in her grumpy way, too. Loved the autistic rep too.

Feed and Yours, Insatiably are a monster romance with heavy themes of diversity, unmasking, love and acceptance. They are a duology where Feed serves as a first chapter detailing the characters' first sexual encounter.
Neurodivergent Representation:
* Avirin is autistic and deals with typical neurodivergent things like masking heavily in order to be accepted, overcompensating to function as well as neurotypicals, and ableism/prejudice.
* Avirin's journey to accepting all of her "monsterous parts" is such a great metaphor for neurodivergency which I related heavily to.
* Pye loves Avirin as she is, not "despite her autism". They even encourage her to unmask and be herself as completely as possible.
* Pye always gives Avirin time to collect her thoughts before she speaks.
* Avirin: "Pye embraces his monstrosity. It’s clear in every easy line of his body, but at this point, even learning to coexist with hers feels like a pipe dream.”
* Pye :“You don’t owe anyone a more palatable version of yourself just because it’s easier for them to swallow.” ; "You're allowed to be a fully-realised person who likes what she likes and is what she is." and “I’m happy you’re considering what you want, not just what you feel like you have to do.”
Queer Representation: Both characters are actively queer and participate in sexual activities with the same and other genders.
Poly Representation: Both characters have sexual interactions with other people (alone and together) and have an open relationship HEA.
Nobinary/Gender-fluid Normality: Pye's pronouns switch back and forth between He/Him and They/Them throughout the book. They wear skirts and no one bats an eye.
Body Neutrality: Avirin is plus sized but it isn't a conflict or plot focus, she's allowed to just exist in her body.
Sex Positivity:
* Pye is a sex worker who enjoys what he does, it isn't a "side hustle" because he needs money or something that he's ashamed of doing. This doesn't bother Avirin and she doesn't ask him to stop in order for them to be together. Sex workers deserve HEAs too!
* Their sexual encounters involve kink play including talking about consent, established safe words (the stoplight method), check ins, and after care.
* They also have sex with other people both together and separately without any toxic jealousy. If bad feelings come up they simply talk about it.
This somehow exceeded the VERY high expectations I had for it! It was sweet, funny at times, and the STEAM! 🥵 Lord, did Aveda bring the heat.
At this point, I will read any and everything this author writes. If you’re a fan of monster romance and haven’t read her works, then you’re missing out!
This book had me internally screaming and blushing. The tension between Avirin and Pye was sizzling, and the smutty scenes were top-notch. Avirin is a fascinatingly complex character, and Pye is an attentive sweetheart with endless patience.
This story was definitely unique. It has a nontraditional HEA, as Avirin and Pye have an open relationship. An aspect of their relationship is that they openly discuss their sexual encounters with other people, and when they choose to involve others, Avirin and Pye are still very much focused on each other. The way they communicate made this a nice portrayal of ethical non-monogamy.
Because I'm not always paying attention, I missed that this was actually the second part of a duet. However, the way the story is set up, I could easily understand the events prior, and it didn't affect my reading experience in a negative manner.
★★★★.★ (4.5/5) The novel, Yours, Insatiably follows Avirin, who navigates her daily life working in a historical archives institute while coping to hide her identity as a succubus from the world. To add to the mess, Avirin sleeps with her coworker, Pye, a death’s-head hawkmoth fae and lets her secret out.
Before starting “Yours, Insatiably” I actually started the prequel Feed by Aveda Vice, which was highly recommended in my Tiktok for you page. Shocked to say, I was absolutely intrigued with the world! Aveda Vice is one of the first authors I started reading books revolving around Monster Romance and I would love to binge read more of their books in the future.
Not sure how to process my thoughts with this novel since I have so much to say but to start, let’s talk about Avirin. It can be seen from the very start, she is still figuring herself out — trying to never go beyond the line. She’s frustrated in the aspect of being a succubus, how the society views her that she’s doing a whole lot more than hiding the monstrous parts of her to the point she buries them. Examples such as the coded feedings Avirin has to secretly schedule in an app and to force her eyes to stay human instead of monster was evident.
Whereas, Pye stated that he fully embraces his monstrosity which causes a strain for both of them to coexist within their relationship together due to their differences. However, one of my favorite parts in this whole book was the respect for boundaries and communication. It was touching to see that both Pye and Avirin want the best for each other which can be shown how Pye was understanding regarding Avirin’s boundaries for herself, despite wanting to pursue a relationship with her. They have always respected her decision from the start which expresses how much they love and respect her. Meanwhile, Avirin always wants what is best for Pye to the point her feelings either bury or conflict. In essence, the whole yearning these two characters have in the whole story, I have no words to explain the emotion especially knowing how the title was incorporated almost at the end. I can’t wait for the next Hunger Duet book which is a must read for me!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
Highlights: Workplace monster romance will always have a special place in my heart! It just works! Fun fantasy world-building mixed with contemporary tropes. Pye and Avirin have great chemistry and I loved their hate to love dynamic. This book was a great mix of spice and a moving love story. I really loves Avirin's storyline about accepting herself and learning it's okay not to be perfect.
Lowlights: There were times I couldn't figure out where the characters were supposed to be, position wise. It wasn't a big deal but sometimes I'd have to go back and reread or just be a little confused where hands and legs were.
Horn Level: 5/5🌶️
Format: Ebook — Kindle
The Rating I give this book a 4/5🌟 rating. I almost cried reading this and that's how you know it was really good!
Truly some of the best smut I've ever read. This is porn with a side of (REALLY GOOD) plot. All the sexy parts were really well written and didn't give me the ick, even though it's dom/sub heavy and gets fluffy near the end. (Love kinky stuff but it sometimes reading it makes me cringe lol)
Also, all the scenes were unique and not redundant or boring. This is one of the first monsterfucker reads where the monstery-ness is actually part of the plot (and sex), woohoo!
Features (SPOILERS?) - Enemies to fuck buddies to lovers - Office/workplace romance - Neurodivergent main character - Casual queerness and polyamory - Sex work is normalized - Safeword use!! and aftercare - Casual SAFE sex is the baseline (we love to see it) - Tentacles kinda - He eats her out like 40 times - The word "member" is not used in reference to cock a single time
Crits: - Some typos, which can be forgiven because this book was born on an Ao3-adjacent website
So excited that this is on audio! Thank you to Aveda Vice for the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I love this couple so much. I highly recommend reading Feed first (also on audio, now!) because you definitely get the tension between this couple. This book combines many of my favorite things: workplace romance, tension, monsters, queer characters, enemies to lovers, letter writing, unique...situations.
I always love when authors prioritize having audiobooks made, especially since the expense is (rightfully) so great. I know it's difficult, especially for indie authors, but this book definitely proves that it is worth it! The narrator did such a good job bringing these two characters to life.
This was a full-length continuation of Aveda Vice's Feed short story. You could prooooobably read this without the prequel story, but I wouldn't recommend it. It involves a lot of pining as the succubus character learns some self-acceptance while also making a futile attempt to shove her coworker into "friend" status. The spicy scenes were very good. There's a particularly steamy one towards the end where the couple gets lured by another person to voyeuristically enjoy each other through interacting with the third person. Also, it was nice to read something spicy involving a nonbinary character who interchangeably uses he/them pronouns and is described as wearing clothing that somewhat reflects their fluid gender.
I enjoyed the simple yet effective world building. The monstrous aspects. The steam and inability for the main characters to resist each other. I personally wasn’t a big fan of the sharing aspect, but as long as everything is consensual, that’s not really for me to judge. I just prefer if other people are involved, they are FULLY involved (like why choose/RH, poly, etc). I’m not into more casual hooking up outside of a relationship, even if it’s consensual. Had a good time overall, though. Would recommend for monster loving folks. One MC is a female succubus. The other MC is a he/they fae mothman.
This was SO GOOD. I had to stop reading a couple times so that I didn't cry at work, but other than that, I couldn't put it down. I'm obsessed with the writing and the characters, but especially Pye. Their willingness to accept every single aspect of Avirin, no matter how she herself felt about it, says so much about him. I'll be thinking about these two for a while until I can start reading Skin :)
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. My review is based off this and so some comments may not be reflected in the final published draft.
4.5 stars-super congrats to Vice for getting this amazing read out into the world! I really enjoyed catching up with Pye and Avirin again, I definitely felt they needed a full story after reading Feed. I loved the sizzle and crackle that our MCs have, it just jumped off the page for me. Some of the best sexual tension in writing that I've encountered. I'm also a fan of the care that seemed to go into writing thoughtful kink scenes. There are established safe words, check ins, after care, and consent conversations. I really think it's important to incorporate these things into steamy scenes because we are dealing with a book that contains a long list of content warnings (available at front of book). I also appreciate a book that is honest about a couple falling in lust before falling in love or catching any feelings. This is mostly what we see between Avirin and Pye and I was ok with that. You can have an HEA and not follow the typical formula.
Of course there was some lacking areas for me, hence the 4.5 and not 5 stars. 1. I wanted more background and more insight into the character growth for both MCs. We're only given small tid bits about their pasts. This would have definitely strengthened my bond with our characters and their relationship bond. I feel like I was left with a lot of dangling information about them that could have been drawn out more. I feel that both of their personalities remained almost fixed on the original impressions we're given for each of them. By the time we're allowed to see more faucets to both characters, the book is done. Example 1: I wish there was more development around Pye's series feelings for Avirin. It's like one scene they are disappointed to be missing out on a hot hook up and the next, they are having very intense emotional connection to her. It caused a slight disconnect for me.
Example 2: This is somewhat of a spoiler, as it pertains to contents at the end of the book.
After an “accidental encounter” between her and her work nemesis, Pye, Avirin seems to be having a tough time keeping her…desires at bay. That is till she gives into them and that very same day she renews her contract at the Archives, same contract that underlines that fraternizing with other employees will get her fired, she doesn’t want to lose the job that she’s worked so hard to get so Pye and Avirin have to try something they’ve never tried before…being friends.
PERFECTION!! This books was pure perfection. I have been waiting for this one for what feels like forever and a year but @aveda did not disappoint, they met my expectations and exceeded them to unthinkable heights. Like, for example, in Feed I was not feeling Pye at all, too cocky for my liking, but ‘whipped-by-Avirin-Pye’ is art and something one has to experience. I feel like I’m trying to explain how good this book was but I’ll never do it justice so I’m gonna let the MB do the talking. Also, as soon as I finished reading this ARC I went and got my physical copy of this masterpiece.
-Monster Romance -Enemies to lovers to “friends” to lovers -Autistic, curvy MC - Non-binary, pansexual MC -Dom Daddy that loves to be called Daddy -“Do you remember your safe words?” She does don’t worry about it. -Think of it as the Hating Game but with monsters and lots…LOTS of kinks. -Not Flint and Harbin having a cameo! When I tell you I almost 💀💀💀💀 -Can we all agree that Sinoe is the baddest b*tch ever? Cause 🥵🥵🥵🥵 she understood the assignment.
GO GET THE DAMN BOOK!!!
Ps. READ “FEED” BEFORE READING THIS!!!(unless you got the paperback)
Welp... I am ruined. Between bad puns, French inhales, and their soul-deep pining Pye has reached PEAK romantic lead. (Pye's pronouns are he/ they and uses both throughout the books.) But also - Ariven. She is emotionally and sexually constipated in the beginning and wound so tight that she is bordering on fracturing. Her journey of self-acceptance, leaning into who she is, and loving herself first resonates through each page. Together though they have real Peralta and Santiago from Brooklyn 99 vibes - but definitely with more monsters. My favorite scene has to be the sexy shower where they declare their feelings and name their relationship - just **chef kiss** communication and I live for it. There are also some letters that are straight out of the Regency... if slightly more overtly sexual...
Please note: This is a standalone with HEA you don't need to read Feed first... but you should. There are references and their relationship will seem more logical with that background knowledge.
Stars: five stars! Steam: multiple scenes, lots of kink including dominance and toys, multiple partners, Tropes: coworkers, hook up to friends to HEA, pining, emotional constipation, sexual exploration, monsters For Fans Of: CM Noscosta but angstier Theme Song: Save the Best for Last by Vanessa Williams Subgenre: Monster Romane CW/ TW: Aveda Vice also has great trigger and content warnings right in the front of the book!
Thank you to the author and publisher for my complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
This story is so moody, a little angsty, and just the right amount of bittersweet.
If you enjoyed Avirin and Pye in Feed and wanted more, Yours, Insatiably picks up shortly after the last story ends. How do you go back to the previously established normal after your coworker has seen the more monstrous side of you and...likes it? Encourages it, even?
If you aren't already reading monster romance... why not??
Avirin has put so much effort into appearing human and being terrified of her succubus nature that she doesn't know any other way; her brain does not allow her to easily pivot and change course. She's supposed to keep masking and focusing on her career, right? If others know she's a succubus, will she ever be respected again? The things other say and "joke" about do not give her confidence that she'll be seen as anything but a sex crazed monster.
Pye? Oh, Daddy Pye. Mischievous, chaotic, gender-fluid, non-conforming, pining, respectful, romantic, and just smolders like crazy in this story. P e r f e c t.
There's a really fun cameo of another monster pairing in here that had me giggling.
My only complaint? I wanted more—especially world building and where monsters like Avirin come from.
Vice does an excellent job of identifying and naming potential triggers/turn-offs in their writing, so make sure to check out her list of them before reading if there are things you're particular about with kink.
Avirin was just as great as before but since we got Pye's POV as well and I got to see his thought process I liked them a lot better then in the previous instalment. He was actually really sweet and you could see that they cared about Avirin for real.
Exploring the city and seeing new creatures was extreme fun and I can't wait to get more books set in this world. The side characters were enjoyable as well and I especially liked to see the representation with was just there and didn't need to be made a big deal.
And lastly the smut: oh my god was it great! There wasn't a lot but the scenes we got were extremely hot and not just some 0815 sex scenes. So of course, I really enjoyed it.
You ever read a book that feels like it's speaking directly to you? Because this was it for me. I came for Pye saying, "I swear, get an orgasm in you, and you forget how this works." But I really fell in love with him saying, "You're allowed to be a fully-realised person who likes what she likes and is what she is." They are a beautifully complex character and a master of pining. And I loved seeing Avirin come into her own and accept herself piece by piece.
There is so much about this book that is cute and full of sexual and romantic tension, which is built masterfully, without compromising on the characters goals and personalities. But there is also a lot of real connection and understanding between Pye and Avirin, and moments of tenderness that made my heart ache.
For any queer and/or neurodivergent people coming across this review: pick up the book. Open it. Read it. After you're done, make sure you go back to the dedication and read it a few times. Let it sink in.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Avirin and Pye! Avirin's fucking man. Wont get over that hot moment in the shower. damn
The story was more enjoyable towards the end when she wasn't fighting it anymore. It just made me sad otherwise. And frustrated, which I hate feeling while reading romance books.
