I read the book “The Sistine Chapel” on March 8th, and it gave me many new insights into the history of art, especially the beginnings of the painting of the Sistine Chapel. Through this book, I discovered many fascinating facts about the chapel itself and about Michelangelo. His genius and dedication made one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of art possible. Without Michelangelo, the Sistine Chapel would not exist in the world as we know it today.

paintings are shown in great detail. 2 pages of text gives a brief introduction to Michelangelo. The rest are all zoomed in versions of his paintings from the Sistine chapel

A wonderful volume on Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel. The book provides information about the history of the project, and then show various shots of the work itself.
