About the author

Gail makes her home on the beautiful west coast of Canada, where she’s happy to say umbrellas outnumber snow shovels. Originally hailing from Wales, she says her fascination with the Regency period began during frequent trips back to visit family and friends when Sunday afternoon drives would inevitably lead to a castle, a cathedral, or a country house hotel (where she also discovered an unfortunate fondness for Devonshire cream teas and sticky toffee pudding).

She has written over twenty historical and paranormal romances and thinks the idea of writing a novel while sipping wine in Tuscany would have to be about as good as it gets!

I love the book as well as the characters!!! The plot and development of the characters were done so well! Each of the characters had a very likable sometime's adorable personality! Nicola 's secret was totally not what i was expecting....i thought it to be some super secretive one but no..it was quite a simple secret.....but it really helped with the conflict!!! i enjoyed watching(reading) David and Nicola fall in love with each other. It was so very romantic and charming book to read!!! 5 *****s for sure!!! The plot kept me so into it that i couldn't put it down!!! Finished it in 2 days!!!!

I finished this book but it was a close call. Lackluster hero, dull conversation. The book was 16 chapters and probably would have been more enjoyable if about half that length. I was starting to feel my brain cells dying off so I sped through the last six chapters.

Heroine values animals over people. And I find her hypocritical in her dealings with the hero.
