There is something inherently attractive about stories that play around with the idea of objects coming to life. This book could be an interesting companion to Stephen King's Christine if you like reading similar books on tandem with your child. The story is well paced and it has a strong foreshadowing of the finale which you can actually discuss about with your kid. However, some of the jokes are weird and potentially outdated (some references to inexistent movies and an author modeled after Burt Lancaster). Overall, nothing extremly wrong with this book, but also nothing really memorable either.

Took this one on holiday. Seems quite dated a book but a quick read since it is a kids book.

left in the cottage we rented on a bookshelf where there were lots of videos for future guests to watch.
