phew - finished! has anyone ever taken so long to read this kind of book? in my defense, obviously i haven't been actively reading this the whole time. i put it down for a period of months and all. this is the kind of book best read on the toilet, and since i am a girl and girls do not defecate, i did not have that opportunity. but i finished anyway (twss) and despite my initial enthusiasm for all things "twss," this does get old after a while. (it must be exhausting hanging out with me, guys - i'm sorry) and some of them are not the best examples of a "twss" moment. but i am glad a book like this exists. thank you for coming into my life. hee.

best book ever so far.

last week we got a ton of backlist fiction by jennifer weiner. i shelved them.

then, jasmine came over and said (pretty loudly) "i can't believe you got all those weiners to fit!! it was so tight back there!!"

with a straight face.

i nearly wet myself with laughter, and she said "what?? weiner - that's her name..."

adorable.

while i was typing this, the man in front of me said "it's just so nice to have one in my hands again"

This book is just dumb. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. 'That's what she said' jokes are funny when they're done spontaneously, not so much when you read one right after another in a book. I got to page four and I was already sick of the joke. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to make a whole book of TWSS jokes, but it just doesn't work. Lame.

I'm currently going through the remaining unread books at home and this book came up. I am honestly scratching my head at how this book had reached our bookshelf (I have three siblings and we share a bookshelf for all of our books). This book is literally a book filled with lame jokes. And as a feminist myself, I don't really see the humor behind "that's what she said," especially when it is usually sexualized. This book is one of very rare books that I can't finish. So I will not recommend this book to anyone, unless you love sexualized jokes then this book is for you.

I usually think TWSS jokes are pretty funny but most of these were really bad in my opinion. I was expecting some better material and it took me a long time to finish this very short book. I wouldn't really recommend this book to anyone.

It was a funny little book. Many of them were "snort-inducing". But I probably would not actually buy the book, since it is something that I would mostly likely not-reread any time soon. However it was entertaining, though NOT for the easily offended.

An entertaining "fun" read, but the things that come up in everyday conversation are SO much better!

These were popular when I was in college back in the early 1980s, probably heard it a few times/week. Didn't realize how long the innuendo has been around.
