I was lucky enough to read this textbook when I had the author as a professor. It was very well-written and organized and filled with information. But I may be a bit bias because Dr. Dubois is one of the best professors I've had.

This is a textbook (just wanted to be upfront on that). So, there are the limitations of a textbook for the general reader, however this is well written and interesting. I also like that it is a 'text' for women's history (like the text for an American survey course), instead of being a collection of edited articles/documents about women.

Read this book for a history (52) class. very informative about the history of women that is usually untold. Beginning with some old world facts and America in the world to 1650 - to present. The book have many documents as well. I would buy this book again.
