I found all the things! usually these kinds of puzzle books give me a headache so I have to take them a page or two a day. this one did not. also it had pleasing thematic unity, like the pictures made sense if you weren't trying to spot anything. and the little joke bits were amusing.
1) no awards 2) Appropriate grade levels - pre k -2nd grade 3) Summary - This book is similar to an "I Spy" book, and works across many age levels. It tells children what to look for using both pictures and numbers as indicators. It explores all kinds of sea creatures, possible water sports, as well as possible water or beach vacations. 4) Review - I really like that this book illustrates real life things that a child is likely to see in the real world. When they go to a beach, or maybe a zoo, or an aquarium, they will be familiar with the animals and objects that they are seeing through the use of this book. Putting a certain number of objects to look for on each page is also a good way for a child to practice number recognition. 5) A teacher can use this book in the classroom to go along with sensory play. They can create "sea foam" using soapy water and liquid colors. Adding a variety of sea shells, toy fish and other animals shown, will allow this book to come alive. A teacher can also use this book to have children practice simple math skills such as counting. A teacher could also bring sand into the classroom and have students use their fingers to practice writing numbers into the sand.
This is a great look and find book. My daughter loves look and finds, and this is one of her favorites. It has pictures and numbers of what needs to be found (as well as the actual words), so it's great for readers and pre-readers alike. Fun pictures with items that are simple to spot as well as a few that are a little more challenging.
Picked this up on a trip to the aquarium and was presently surprised with the illustrations. The pictures are quite realistic and they properly name all the sea creatures you are to find. My boys love it!
Orijinal adı 1001 Things to Spot in the Sea.

This book keeps children attention very well. Helps the children learn about all the different kind of sea animals. It also helps children imagine for example what lies at the bottom of the sea! Is there treasure at the bottom of the sea?
While I didn't love this one as much as the "1001" volume about animals (simply because the habitats are less varied), it was great for counting skills and kept kids occupied when they needed to be quiet!
This book is really good and can be used in the class for mathematics. It shows a variety of things that can be shown/ found in the sea. The kids can count the objects.
