This book is for preschool-1st grade students. It has adorable illustrations with bright colors and cute animals. The stuffed animals come alive while the boy is gone and the pups direct traffic for the others. They encounter speedy cars, accidents, and they mediate between drivers. It is written in rhyme that flows easily. Children will be attracted to the colorful illustrations.

This was a cute book about dog cops. Who doesn't love dog cops?!?!? Maybe cat burglars but that's it. My son likes this one and I enjoy reading it to him. The artwork is fun and the story keeps him interested.

The pups of Toy City have returned in this rhyming tale as they become traffic pups, and patrol the city streets controlling traffic, writing speeding tickets, and helping with accidents, it's all in days work for the Traffic Pups.

Art is very lively. Bit of a Toy Story vibe without the sentiment.

This book has cute illustrations and a fun rhyme scheme and my baby liked the pictures. I found it a bit trippy, though. Judging from the illustrations, not only are the police officers and citizens animals, they are all stuffed animals in a boy's bedroom. Nothing in the text suggests to me that the book needs to be about stuffed animals. Not that it is a problem that they ARE stuffed animals, it was just a choice I was pondering as I read this book. All of our bedtime reading has me thinking a lot more about author/illustrator relationships and how children's books are created.

"Traffic Pups" offers a cute, rhyming story of law-abiding pups managing traffic for the neighborhood animals (bear, duck, pig, and more). Fun of "vrooming" action and numerous events where the Traffic Pups need to help, this book includes several phrases kids will enjoy reading aloud with their parents. The illustrations and colorful, yet not overwhelming. Best for ages 3-6. Love the cute ending!

Adorable toy puppies are back in another adventure. This one is traffic-themed, which little kids may get some references and might not others. Fun to see the toys on the go. This could be a fun preschool or lap-read, edpecially if you get the kids to chant "Traffic Pups" each time it is in the book. All in all, I like the book because the puppies are so cute!

With a rhyming narrative, adorable illustrations, and lots of onomatopoeia, this is a fun book to read aloud. The story is a bit silly and will really appeal to younger children. Although our girls are getting a bit old for this kind of book, we still enjoyed reading it together.

Adorable illustrations and great rhyming words would make this a great choice for toddlers through early elementary readers. The traffic pups are actually toys going thrombin an adventure in a little boy's house. Very cute book!

This book might only be appropriate for pre-school or kindergarten age children because of the vast amount of illustrations, and few words. This book did a good job of telling the jobs of a community helper (In Indiana Acadmeic Standards).

As part of Reading class, one of my 8th graders read Traffic Pups to a class of three year olds. Those kids absolutely loved it and laughed at the great story of dog police officers, driving around toy motorcycles, and pulling over speeding frogs and geese.

This book was a little too "young" for my 4-year-old but he liked it. I loved the illustrations. There are only a few words on each page.
