Bella the Boxer is humorous, insightful, and down to Earth. Written by Bella herself, Secrets of a Working Dog teaches the reader the importance of living for the moment, appreciating the little things in life, and the importance of being forgiving, compassionate, and accepting. Within the story, Bella tells of several people who have lived by her principles and succeeded at living a happy life. (I love the links to all the Nonprofits in the book.) Success isn't about materialism, titles, degrees, and ranks. Success is learning to be happy with the life you have. This book is guaranteed to make you smile. The best part is that 10% of the proceeds from this book are donated to animal rescue.
We have 5 boxers, all beautiful teachers of life and such loving and special family members. This book says so much of what the boxer is. A loyal, clever, naughty, witty, charming, wise and all together the most beautiful breed of dog for me!
This book had a lot of good advice in it, along with some heartwarming stories about dogs who ended up in good situations. I thought that the viewpoint of Bella was a little exaggerated and cutesy, but the book itself had some great advice. I would have given it 5 stars if the tone weren't so overbearing.
This is a very well-written book by a very smart boxer who shares her ideas on how to achieve balance in life and not working to the exclusion of everything else. Everyone, dog lovers or not, will enjoy this book. I love the pictures of Bella!
insightful, interesting and entertaining; Great tips from Bella the boxer on how to live like a dog -- experience life to the fullest, be present in the here and now, stop to eat the roses! I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
