a very interesting collection of fruit, vegetable, and herbal remedies from around the world written by a medical anthropologist. It covers everything from alfalfa to zucchini. It has a section in the front by ailment and then it goes on to cover item by item. I have not tested all of it out, but several I know from experience work. Not only that, but it is interesting.

Oh, it's sort of a fun guide, but far from complete, in fact it tells you not too much that you didn't probably know. The index is almost dangerous as instead of focusing on the various fruits, vegetables and herbs it provides an index of ailments and suggests various potions or treatments.

All of this is questionable, and possible fatal for those who may expect beets to cure cancer.
