About the author

Felicity Brooks is an Editorial Director and writer at Usborne Publishing. She studied English and Drama at Exeter University and worked as an actor, teacher and lexicographer (someone who compiles dictionaries) before starting work in children’s publishing in the late 1980s.

She has written and edited hundreds of children’s books, including stories and novelty books for pre-schoolers and books about history, geography, languages, science, maths, nature and the arts.

Her books have won the TES Senior Information Book Award, the Aventis Science Books Prize, the SLA Information Book Award, the Sheffield Baby Books Award and Practical Pre-school Gold and Silver Awards.

از این جهت که بشدت در عادی سازی همجنسگرایی و خانواده‌های همجنس تلاش کرده و کتاب برای کودکان است!!!
در تصاویر کتاب خانواده دو پدری وجود دارد که فقط متنش سانسور شده و تصویر تغییری نکرده.

I don't know how Usborne does it, but they truly have some great books and wow the illustrations by Mar Ferrero are amazing! Though I do have to say that the book about diversity is almost the same to this one, so I feel like it would almost be a waste if you got this one plus the one about diversity. Nevertheless, I really like these!!

tosi söpö ja ihana kirja siitä minkälaisia kaikkia perheitä voi olla. opettava ja hyödyllinen + saatu tehtyy tosi selkeeks ja sellaseks, että varmasti lukeminen lasten kanssa on mielekästä. kuvitus oli myös ihan sulonen!

Ich finde das Buch richtig toll gemacht. Es werden ganz viele Konstellationen gezeigt und wertschätzend erklärt. Dazu schöne Bilder und kurze für Texte. Empfehlung!
