I had such a good experience with the PHP Visual Quickstart Guide, that once I realized I needed Javascript on my website, I bought this book since the two are written the same way and by the same publisher. But I found Javascript to be harder to pickup than PHP, although the book did a good job walking me through the basics. I downloaded and used the examples as the author explained them, and in that way, Negrino was able to get some of the concepts through my thick skull.
