FROM THE PUBLISHER'S WEBSITE: During her childhood years Laura Iding spent hours writing love stories, convinced she'd be an author when she grew up. But her parents convinced her to get a real job so she went to college to become a registered nurse. While she loved being a critical-care nurse, she eventually came back to her first love, writing. She's thrilled to combine her two favorite careers into one, writing Medical Romances for Harlequin while still keeping her job in the hospital. Laura lives with her husband of twenty-five years and is enjoying life as an empty nester now that her two adult children are in college. With twenty books already in publication, she hopes to have many more.
Thank God I've finished. This book really annoyed me in so many ways. I used to love Mills and Boon books, especially medical and sweet ones. I only read this because I was given a whole heap and I'm grudgingly forcing myself to get through them. But the characters really annoyed me and I can't even count how many times I rolled my eyes.
This book was okay. I didn't love it nor did I hate it but I really didn't feel the chemistry between the characters. It was non-existent for me and I really didn't care about them or the kid (sorry!)
I'm not much into medical drama. Maybe that's why I wasn't so crazy about it. It was a good book to read in just a few hours that didn't require a lot of thought. It was a book that you might read on a lazy day or after a book that you've just read that was heavy and long.
A story about giving love a second chance. I liked that the Doctor fell for the single mother. I think there are a lot of men around that want children but are scared of their inexperience. Then they fall for single mothers 'friends' after trying out fatherhood. Cute story.
