How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days

GOT ANGEL?

Drusilla “Tally” Tallow does. Both fallen and otherwise because she’s got ten days of Heavenly and Infernal Parole after knocking Falcon Cherrywood from his broom. All she wanted was to settle down with a nice warlock, have babies, and grow old together. But she’s got a bad habit of falling for the wrong warlock. She blames Cupid. Too bad her Heavenly Parole Officer is none other than the heart bandit himself—the newly appointed Cupid and current fixture in all her fantasies, Falcon Cherrywood.

After smiting Cupid with a fireball, Falcon Cherrywood must now play the Diapered Archer. He can’t think of anything more humiliating than flying around in pink wings shooting arrows into hopeless fools. Archery was never his strong suit and Falcon doesn’t even believe in love. But more troubling are the feelings his sinfully irresistible parolee sets off in him—for only Tally has the power to make him believe in things better left to fairy tales, like Happily Ever After.

Talk about end of the world! These characters can get no break, there's always an end of the world disaster waiting around the corner. Tally and Falcon are really fun together, even when both of them keep denying their feelings. We caught up with past characters and we met other characters that I wish they would have a story.

Tally Tallow is now on Heaven and Hell parole, she has 10 days to prove herself after knocking Falcon Cherrywood off his broom and being possessed by a lamia. You see, she fell in love with the wrong warlock and he used her, caused her to become possessed and tried to take over the world. If that wasn’t bad enough, she killed a bunch of warlocks while being possessed and now Falcon Cherrywood is one of her angelic parole officers.

Falcon was given the chance to become Cupid, after he shot the last one with a fire ball. Now humiliated, shooting pink arrows, Falcon is a Cupid that doesn’t believe in love. He is up close to his parolee, he is having trouble reconciling his feelings and emotions. You can’t have a Cupid that doesn’t believe in love and if Falcon can’t discover love than he is going to die. Can Tally forgive herself for her past in time to save Falcon from a loveless future?

This is my first Saranna DeWylde book and almost instantly I was enthralled by her sense of humor that overflows into her characters. Somehow even during dire circumstances the wit and vibrant personalities show through. I really enjoyed reading How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days. I found myself laughing out loud more than once. How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days is a really charismatic story and a fun read.

This ARC copy of How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days was given to me by Kensington Publishing Corp. in exchange for an honest review. Publish Date February 26, 2013.

Rating: B ... Heat: Hot

Drusilla 'Tally' Tallows almost caused an apocalypse in How to Marry a Warlock in 10 Days. Even though her little lamia problem has been fixed, she is still feared by nearly everyone in the magical community. Particularly the warlocks. No one wants to play with Tally's witchy bits… because they used to devour men.

But, while at Middy's wedding, Falcon Cherrywood proves he's not afraid of what Tally has underneath her skirt. Or, he would have, if he hadn't drank too much and passed out between said witchy bits. Tally isn't about to let one, or, okay, two or three, embarrassing encounters with Falcon stop her from getting what she's always wanted though.

Since she was a witch-in-training at the Academy, Tally has had a crush on Falcon. A crush that has so far been woefully unrequited. Because Falcon is… oblivious… but well intentioned. He's afraid of falling in love, of becoming like his father. And now that he's been given the job of Cupid, he's going to have to learn to love.

Tally, with her tough exterior and soft center, deserves to be loved. After a string of worthless guys, using sex to try to get affection, she's finally finding her self worth. And she's set her sights on the one warlock who's always been there for her.

It shouldn't be too hard to make Falcon fall in love with her, right? There's only his fear of love, meddling exes, a gypsy curse, her demon parole officer, and - you know - a new apocalypse on the horizon. No big deal.

How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days is sexy with a dash or two of silly. The world Miz DeWylde has created is hilariously imaginative and colorful. So freaking funny. Any story that can combine romance with whimsy and make me laugh my butt off, well, it's golden in my book! I can't wait to see whose book is next. (I'm hoping for either Tristan Belledaire, aka Death, or Emilian, the gypsy prince.)

Favorite Quote:

“I wanted you to be my first.”
”Your first what?”
”Merlin’s balls!” she swore. “I was naked in your bed Falcon. What other first could I possibly be referring to?” Tally felt incredibly stupid now for being as upset as she’d been the next morning that he’d only come into the room and passed out next to her.
Falcon’s eyes widened and then he laughed.
She wished she had more Jack. “I’m glad my teen angst amuses you. I should have made you promise not to laugh, too.” Tally scowled.
”Sweetheart,” he drawled, no longer laughing, his gaze burning hot over her body again. “That was one of the most torturous night of my life.”

Made the mistake of reading this without reading the other 2 in the series. It kicks off right into the world DeWylde's created from the previous 2 books and it takes a lot of getting used to.

But then it was kinda boring.

And I didn't swoon for Falcon (which is a shame because with a name like that you have serious expectations).

And it felt like there was way too much going on.

But on the plus side there was Ethelred.

But on the negative side there was Luminista. And a rather confusing world that didn't really interest me but more so dragged out the plot.

So 2 stars.

Cozy but too complex and too much sex

Overall I enjoyed reading the Saranna DeWylde series and gave the first 2 books 4 stars each.

This 3rd book, How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days, became too convoluted by trying to add in too many story lines and had too much explicit sex that interrupted rather than adding to the story.

The sex was well done in the 1st 2 books but in this 3rd book those scenes were too drawn out and and had too many of them. There was so much good material that could easily have taken it’s place.

Bottom Line: If you can live without finishing a series (Though I believe more books will be added) I think I’d skip this one. If you want a book that should be tagged under “erotic sex” then enjoy. I prefer the books I read to have more story line than sex scenes.

Someone throw something at Falcon. He took WAY too long to get his mind right where Tally was concerned. So long that he almost lost her. Man can be such idiots! Glad he came to his senses.

The first book I picked up by Saranna was "Desperate Housewives of Olympus". I'm a huge fan of Paranormal Romance and that story cracked me up but also had the happy ending I MUST have in my stories. I haven't had a chance to pick up Saranna's other two books in this series "How to Lose a Demon in 10 Days" or "How to Marry a Warlock in 10 Days" but after reading this one and literally laughing out loud (a lot of laughing, good thing I was at home so I didn't get any strange looks) I'm going to make sure I get all three and I'll leave reviews for them too.

Even though I hadn't read the others in the series I was able to follow this book as a stand alone. There were references from back books...enough that I knew other stuff had gone on...but the author does a beautiful job of explaining so you don't feel too left out.

Drusilla aka Tally in the book is a witch (that you see in the first book) who has one little problem... said problem is in the past book she got possessed by a lamia and literally developed teeth in an area that would make most men run screaming. In the last story when she was possessed she went on a killing rampage (yikes!) and ended up killing people that she loves..... Falcon ended up dying but then becoming Cupid....then Tristan (an old boyfriend) ends up dying and becomes Death. So lots of problems for her.

The story starts out where she's at her best friends wedding as the Witch of Honor (loved the play on Maid of Honor). She's trying gracefully to slink off because everyone in the magical community knows what happened and they are treating her like an infectious disease so no one can really blame her for wanting to get out of the Witch-light. Falcon, her childhood crush for many years follows her out and they have an intimate encounter that ends in a real snore.....until one of his triplet brothers tries to rescue him from Tallys witchy bits. I cringed for Tally in the beginning, imagining having something like that happen to me.

Tally finds out she's been put on Parole since the things she did weren't here but the possession so the parole is a way for her to get back on track. She's got two guardians, one from heaven and one from hell. Falcon our lovely pink winged cupid and Ethelred, A Crown Prince of Hell. Both are smoking hot in their own way....Falcon is obviously rooting for her heavenly side and helping get her life on track and Ethelred is all about corrupting her. Though to be fair to Ethelred he does give her many lessons in the book and is actually a key role in her rediscovering herself. See Tally has been doing what is expected of her, her entire life......By the end she does what she wants to be happy in her own skin.

Her parole takes place in the mortal realm...they buy a house that will suit their needs.... Yes, Tally has to live with her parole officers... Granted not at the same time...they each get equal amounts of time with her and special times to do just that. The real fun part? Tally can't use her magic while she's in that mortal realm...for a human that would be like hacking off your arms and possibly your legs. Poor girl.

Of course when they go to the mortal realm, chaos follows, but Saranna also adds that humor that will have you cracking up the entire way. There were some sub plots going on as well...with Ethelred, Falcon's brothers Hawk/Raven, and a gypsy prince/princess and Tristan. I can't wait to read all of their stories and I hope there are stories for all of them.

So the real question is...what happens in the mortal realm? Does Tally use her magic? Does she get off parole? Is she sided for Heaven or Hell? Who will she end up with long-term, Falcon or Ethelred? With chaos all around, another possible chance at another destruction of earth as we know it?

Of course I know the answer to those questions, but if I told you...well I'd have to kill you... ;) If you like Paranormal Romance with hot steamy sex and humor sprinkled throughout you should try this book :) Like I said, I'll be grabbing up the other books in this series because now I'm really curious about the backstory that laid the plot out for this story.

Review originally posted on my blog: A Book Obsession..

As part of a rehab program from being possessed by the lamia, Tally has been forced into a 10 day parole period with a representative from both heaven and hell. All she wants to do is forget about her past and move on with her life and settle down with a nice warlock. Unfortunately the only one she has ever wanted is none other than her best friend's brother, Falcon, the newly minted Cupid. Problem is that he is quite possibly the worst cupid ever in that he doesn't believe in love. It's up to Tally to convince him otherwise before it's too late for both of them.

It is really impressive to me that despite the large amount of characters in HOW TO SEDUCE AN ANGEL IN 10 DAYS, each one had their own unique voice and the individual personalities really shone through. In fact not a single one faded to the background. However, that being said a few characters stuck out a bit more than others, specifically the main couple and a demon named Ethelred. I'll focus more on the couple in the next paragraph, but for now I want to feature Ethelred. I really really loved this character. He was just so complex as he definitely had the bad boy evil thing going on since he's a demon. But there also was a whole lot more below the surface. Despite him being on the side of evil, he actually seemed to care about Tally's fate, and while his methods involved some "tough love" he still worked rather hard to help her build her confidence. I really hated the way things turn out for him and I'm hoping there will be another book in this series featuring him as I would love to see him get his happy ever after.

Getting to Falcon and Tally. I really loved these two. I've always had a soft spot for stories where the heroine has secretly loved the hero since childhood. There's just something to be said about how the hero's life gets turned completely upside down once he notices the heroine as a female, and not just another one of the guys. I just enjoy watching the guy fall all over himself with lust and then of course watching that lust slowly transform in to love. As far as Falcon, it was obvious early on that he was head over heels for Tally, especially since he wasn't afraid of her. And trust me he had VERY good reason to be, specifically in the sex department. I also loved that he was quite possibly the worst cupid ever. I just got a real kick out of picturing him during one of his drunk moments donning his pink wings. I couldn't help the snickers. He went through a lot of growth in this book, but I was really impressed with him in the end. However, Tally was the one who really shone as her growth was incredible. She had a lifetime of insecurity to overcome, and I couldn't be more proud of the way she finally started to find herself. In my opinion, this type of theme in a romance book where the couple has to overcome their own obstacles, to be the best kind of romance there is. It just gives the reader a feeling that the characters have truly accomplished something together that will last, and leaves them with a very satisfied feeling.

As much as I love this series, I do have to admit that the world building is a little bit cumbersome at times. There's just so many different characters and sides that made it a bit difficult to follow as I tried to remember their roles from the previous books. Considering how humorous the story is, the "clutter" did detract a bit from the light-heartedness. Even so, HOW TO SEDUCE AN ANGEL IN 10 DAYS, is a fun and sexy read that I would recommend for an afternoon escape. Between the numerous oh so yummy steamy moments to the laugh out loud hilarity, this book is a delight.

Saranna DeWylde is steadily working up my list of go-to authors with every book she releases! I find this series to be highly engaging and hilarious with How To Seduce An Angel In Ten Days being no exception.

Tally has made some mistakes in her life, the biggest being letting an ancient evil take her body over and rocking the entire witching community. Her actions have made her an outcast which is really how she’s seen herself for years anyway. Even her best friends family her been treating her differently. Except Falcon, the inspiration behind all her “one handed” sexual fantasies. She’s been half in love with him her entire life, but when the evil inside her knocked him off his broom to his death the only way to save him was to force him into a new job as Cupid. A job he doesn’t believe in because he doesn’t believe in love. Now he smells like cotton candy and has pink wings. His first job? Making sure Tally stays on the heavenly side and doesn’t listen to the “devil” on her other shoulder, a demon named Ethelred.

Tally has such low self esteem that she hides behind her sassy wit and pure sex appeal. She didn’t think she deserved a happy ever after before the evil took her over. Now she has even less belief in her story including herself being happy. Though Falcon denies he doesn’t believe in love, he is adamant in making her believe herself worth of being happy. He refuses to fail where she is concerned, even if that means in the end he might die himself. Tally was a strong female character but her self esteem was holding her back. As she and Falcon got closer she started to realize the kind of power she had and how she could use it to finally make amends for her past. Learning to be selfless without regard for yourself was a central theme and happiness was the reward.

Tally and Falcon definitely have some hot scenes but what I enjoyed most about them was that their relationship was born out of a life long friendship that they shared. Falcon, for as much he resisted, sure experienced every feeling a man in a relationship would feel right down to the bone deep jealousy regarding Ethelred. He was protective and fierce and honestly, who doesn’t want a man who tastes and smells like cotton candy?

How To Seduce An Angel In 10 Days had everything I enjoy in a light-hearted paranormal romance. A smoldering hero complete with pretty pink wings who needs to embrace life, a heroine who is stronger then she gives herself credit for and a supporting cast of characters who pop off the page. Hilarity ensues and I found myself laughing at the hijinx Tally experiences along her journey. Not many authors can work in a 5 foot tall walking, talking vajazzeled vajayjay into a book and make it work. But DeWylde can and does which resulted in me laughing so hard at work that I couldn’t answer the phone until I got myself under control. Loved this book! In a sea of dark gritty books, How To Seduce An Angel In 10 Days is a welcome distraction that is well written and exceptional!

I give How To Seduce An Angel In 10 Day by Saranna DeWylde 4.50 stars!

Let me just warn you- I only meant to read ONE chapter before bed…

Except, I couldn’t put it down! At the end of each chapter I kept thinking, I really need to go to bed, I have things to do tomorrow, but I just COULD NOT stop! This book is delicious!

If you’ve read my reviews, you know I’m a huge fan of Saranna DeWylde, so I KNEW that I would like this book, but I LOVED it so much more than I imagined.

Recently I haven’t been able to read much, what with the family issues, I just haven’t had the time, energy, or focus, but I picked up this book, knowing that I would like it, that there would no risk, and I’m so glad I did!!! I feel so much better!

“How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days” is the third in a standalone series, the first being: “How to Lost a Demon in 10 Days” and the second being- How to Marry a Warlock in 10 Days.” Again, these are standalone books, you’ll have no trouble reading them out of order, but I highly recommended it to fully grasp the family dynamics.

I’m trying really hard not to turn into a squealing fan-girl, but this book, in my opinion, was AWESOME. It’s snarky, romantic, full of action and passion! What better what to get to know cupid, and his lady love?

Falcon, one of the trifecta of doom (You’ll recognize from: How to Marry a Warlock in 10 Days.) has a new job, all thanks to Tally, his sister’s best friend. Now, I could tell you how he ended up being cupid, or what Tally had to do with it, but it would kinda spoil ‘How to Marry a Warlock’. Anyway, imagine a cute, buff hunk of a guy in pink…glittery…angel wings. Yah, it’s a little funny, but oh so adorable!!

Now, imagine a girl that has been around, and pretty much given up on her happily ever after, she’s done some pretty bad things, against her will, and wants nothing more than to redeem herself to her friends and family, never mind the rest of the witching world.

But redemption is not the only thing, the fates have in store for them, they’re having a hard time remembering why it is they never succumbed to their budding desires before, and well as breaking ALL the rules, to save the world! Because you know it wouldn’t be a Saranna DeWylde book if the world wasn’t going to hell in a hand basket.

Through in a couple werewolves, a few demons, a couple angels, and a man eating fiend? Yah, it goes there!

I honestly am in love with this book, and this author! I would read it again, and again, and again! I highly recommend reading ‘How to Seduce an Angel’ (as well as her others) - you’ll be happy you did. Definitely a keeper that will keep you reading till the sun comes up…literally, I’m really tired, but it’s SO worth it!

I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!!!!

My Review:
This is #3 in this series, but these books work as stand-alones. I haven't read the other two in the series, although I will admit to being tempted by them several times. Well, when I started reading this book, I resisted until I hit the 15% point (yes, it's that fun and entertaining) and then I got online and ordered all three books (this one included) in print...because I definitely want to read them all and add them to my keeper shelf!

This book is number three in the series and the characters sound like they have been VERY involved in the story lines of the other two novels and are now living with the consequences of those events. For Tally, she's a pariah among her people. An evil infested her in the last book and she killed several people, some whom she loved dearly. It was all worked out, but no one trusts her now.

One of those she killed was Falcon, one of her oldest and dearest friends. He's since come back, but now he's Cupid...a job that doesn't really suit him since he doesn't believe in love.

Falcon and Tally have been friends for a long time and they've circled around their attraction for just about as long, but when the powers that be put Falcon in charge of Tally's probation, that puts them in prolonged contact with each other...and you know where that's going to go.

This is a fabulously fun world. Falcon is one of three triplets, so we have all those sexy guys. His sister and Tally's best friend just married another super-sexy guy. Falcon is Tally's parole officer on the angelic side, but she also has a parole officer from the hellish side too...the supersexy, Ethelred, who's having his own love problems thanks to Cupid's arrow. There's a whole lot of sexy going around....and they all love to give Falcon hell for his diaper and pink wings. It's definitely a fun book.

But the flip side of that is Tally. This is a girl who's never had an easy go in life and isn't so sure that she deserves it. She's overcome with guilt over what happened before, even though it truly wasn't her fault. She doesn't feel like she deserves love and watching her overcome that through this book was fabulous. I loved watching her develop.

It truly is a fabulous book. I enjoyed every single minute of reading it and can't wait to read the other two in the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days is an entertaining addition to the 10 Days series.

Tally is having a crappy life. She is a loser in love, a pariah to her people and now a parolee. She has ten days to prove she is worthy of a second chance. Ten long days to be cooped up with a male that has always owned her heart, but has always viewed her as a little sister. Ten days to show that she doesn’t deserve to go to hell and that she can change. Ten days for her life to be altered forever.

Falcon is having a crappy life too. One awry fireball and now he’s Cupid; diaper and all. How can a man who doesn’t believe in love be forced to spread love around? He doesn’t understand it. But that is what his life has become; living in pastels and sparkles. It’s all he can do to prove he is still a manly man. He is now being forced into the position of parole officer to a woman he has always desired. He didn’t think his life could get worse, but it may have. How can a Crown Prince of Heaven slake his desire for the one woman he always wanted when it is a big no-no? Dang, being a Prince isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.

Their ten days together is a learning experience for both of them. It is full of revelations and discoveries, desires and disappointments. These two troubled souls will defy what is expected of them and will discover what love is all about.

While I rate this the same as the prior book, How to Marry a Warlock in 10 days, I have to say I may have actually liked it more. There was less “bahaha” funny and had more depth in the plot. I like the slight direction change that Ms. DeWylde has decided to take. It was very nicely balanced and reads very smoothly. How to Seduce an Angel is wonderful light read with tons of heart.

I especially like that we were visited by prior characters and their stories were intertwined a bit. Not in an overpowering way, but I can feel that Ms. DeWylde is setting up future novels. I am definitely adding the 10 Days series to my must read list. I have enjoyed everything about them. These novels have a lighthearted feeling to them along with whimsical humor, practical plots and appealing characters; a winning combination! This is a vividly entertaining series.

HOW TO SEDUCE AN ANGEL IN 10 DAYS was a light, goofy paranormal romance that I had a good time reading. My only issue was that since it was third in the 10 Days series, I was missing out on a lot of plot that happened in the two previous books, which made the story a little hard to get into. Luckily, there was a cute main couple, great supporting characters and lots of laughs to keep me interested.

Tally and Falcon are an adorable couple. Though my major complaint is about all the detail that happened before this book, it also is a good thing, because you’re made aware that Tally and Falcon have a history together and this is not an “instalove” couple. And though it is obvious that in the end Falcon will be the guy for Tally, it is fun to watch all the other guys she interacts with along the way. Ethelred (the opposite of Falcon- Tally’s demonic parole officer) and Tristan (her ex-boyfriend who happens to be the Angel of Death) are both really good at pushing Falcon’s buttons, with hilarious results.

The entire setup is based on an event that I’m guessing happened in the second book, and that is where the confusion comes in. While there is information given about what happened, why, and what the results were, it was still not all very clear and I found myself making a lot of conjectures. And I would like to take a moment and say, really- Falcon? Midnight? The names!

I enjoyed HOW TO SEDUCE AN ANGEL IN 10 DAYS quite a bit, despite being a little lost. If you’re going to pick it up, I would suggest maybe going back and reading the first two in the series before you do. I’ve already gone ahead and bought the first book, HOW TO LOSE A DEMON IN 10 DAYS. I’m hoping that book four will cover Tristan’s romance, and I want to make sure I’m all caught up!

Another instance where I didn't realize this book was mid-series when I committed to reading it. Ah, well. I decided to plunge ahead anyway, without reading the previous books, so please take my comments with a grain of salt.

Obviously, I was a little lost since this book starts off with some heavy backstory. As in, right smack dab in the middle of backstory. You'll definitely want to read the first two books of the series, How to Lose a Demon and How to Marry a Warlock before reading this one. Unlike clever me. I was able to fit the pieces together well enough, but I can easily imagine that a sequential read makes the storyline more interesting.

Not to imply that I didn't enjoy the book because I did, very much so. This is a funny, fast-paced story that's packed with magic and mythical beings. It's quite a lineup: demons, angels, werewolves, gods, witches -- all the kinds of creatures I love.
Speaking of . . .

So there I was, following along despite not having done the assigned reading, and I'm loving everything . . . then Ethelred hit the scene. And my attention span narrowed down to him. I couldn't help it; he's just so delicious. He's that perfect sort of asshole Adonis -- completely irreverent and self-absorbed, too pretty for anyone else's good, and suspiciously sweet when it suits him. I don't know what it says about me that I love these kinds of characters, but Ethelred completely stole the show. I really had a hard time focusing on the main story with him around. I'll admit, I started speed-reading through scenes that didn't include my beloved dickhead demon.

For the sake of Ethelred alone, I'd recommend this book. But, really, there's a lot to like. Again, though, make sure you've read the previous books first.

I'd like to thank Netgalley and Kensington Publishing Corp. for the opportunity to read this story.
"No I will leave the same way I came. Through the front gates so everyone can see my ass before they kiss it."

How to Seduce an Angel in 10 Days is the third book in Saranna DeWylde's 10 Days series.

Keep in mind that this is an adult book, and there are explicit details!

Drusilla “Tally” Tallow is now on Heaven and Hell parole, because she killed her ex, and attacked Falcon Cherrywood while being possessed by a lamia. She has 10 days to prove herself.
All she ever wanted is to settle down, and have a family on her own(Possibly with Falcon!) But can she make Falcon fall in love with her?

Falcon Cherrywood is the new Cupid after he shot a fire ball at the last one. Too bad he's never been in love before. He always "liked" Tally, and since he is one of her Heavenly Parole Officer, maybe it's his chance...

Just like in her other book's the characters were loveable and really funny. I found myself loughing out loud a couple of times.
"If you are trying to get under my dress, a few words compairing me to a summer's day won't hurt."
"I tought the saying was getting into your panties, noot under your dress?"
"Not wearing any." She bit down on her lover lip, before her mouth curved into a sheepish smile.
His gaze was drawn, where her dress had ruched up around her thights. "That's a game changer."

All in all, this was a good, funny paranormal romance book. I gave this book 3 stars.

To be perfectely honest, I don't like much of Mrs DeWylde work. I read the first and second book of the "how to series", and it fell... well over the top, mostly. And not funny either. Plus I didn't like Grace, nor Middy and, full disclosure, didn't even finished the second book.
"Then why read this one and why give it such a good rating ?" would you ask.
(I know I would)
Well, it has the same flaws as the other books, don't get me wrong (meaning too many graphic sex scenes and very bad puns).
Yet...
Well, I kind of felt bad for Tally in the previous book. She was that easy-bordering-on-slutty girl with a big heart that just kept going for the wrong guys. At some point, I felt more for her than for Middy, who was the heroin.
Plus there was the Trifecta of Doom, Middy's tall, dark, sexy and overprotective triplets brothers...
So when I noticed that the third book was about Tally and Falcon Cherrywood, I was in a "go for it but don't have too high expectations" kind of mood.
And I actually liked it. A lot.
First, it was funnier. Not laughing-out-loud funny, but cute funny.
Second, Tally is a much more endearing character than the previous two.
But, at the end of the journey, what really saved the book (and Mrs DeWylde work in general) for me was the relationship between Falcon and Tally. Neither is perfect, they're both more than a little broken and yet... well they're just so hot-yet-adorable together that I can forgive a lot.
(not the talking-vagina part. But most of the rest.)

This series is just plain cute. Yes it is paranormal but kind of in the Bewitched typed paranormal. This one did not have as much levity as the second one did (I did not read the first one yet) but it was still really fun. I think Tally is just adorable. She is written having a great sense of humor, she is so snide that it is hard not to enjoy her words, and yet she is strong enough to stand up for herself... most of the time.

I was a little surprised at how needy she was with Falcon but then I guess if I had a guy like Falcon I would want to need him too. He is.. wow.. just great. He is that boy you thought was the older brother type but ended up being the hottest lover type. And it is hard not to enjoy his sensitivity.

If you enjoy fn paranormal romance this is most certainly the book (and series) for you. It is fun. It is light-hearted. And it is just a good read.

I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Funny, funny read! Tally loves Falcon AKA Cupid but he is now her parole officer since she killed Tristan, now the Angel of Death, and almost killed him. Her second parole officer is Ethelred from Hell. Falcon's not so angelic that he does not have lascivious thoughts about Tally but the THY SHALT NOT rules, he cannot act on them. Ethelred's not such a demon that he does not have some compassion but he still has to get Tally's soul for Hell. This would have been better if I had read the first two books in the series but I was able to follow it. I just did not understand the inside jokes and references to the past. Everyone is working against one another to get what they want. Tally knows who she wants but he does not want her so she decides to make the ultimate sacrifice to save him because her dreams tell her what will happen in the future. I liked these characters. They were funny. They were wild. This is slapstick comedy at its best. I could see it as a movie.

I'm still not sure what to think of this series. The Clue like endings always throw me for a loop and I finish the books thinking, yeah, okay, that happened.

This book picked up pretty much where the previous one left off, or within days of it, during Middy's wedding. I'm still confused on the World Mythology on this series, possibly because things change so often from book to book. And I still feel that the series could benefit by slowing down the pace a little bit to really explain the world DeWylde is trying to create here.

Overall it's a decent book that I enjoyed reading, I just wish I didn't always end these books feeling a little bit like I've got reading whiplash and I'm confused.

I couldn't finish this book because coming in the middle of the series without reading the first two books made me feel really out of the loop. I also didn't like the use of fantasy in this book-the author was trying too hard to make sure the readers remembered the characters were supposed to be mythical and constantly reminding them. It was too over the top and rather than showing the characters as witches or angels etc, she would just keep mentioning what they were. All this came together and made me not want to finish reading the book.

Another great installment in an awesome series! The characters were "paranormal" but oh so normal in their fears. Everyone can relate to the main characters in this story, Tally & Falcon really are just like normal, everyday people. Their insecurities abound but they work through them and carry on the best they can. I love the imaginative way that the fantasy and reality come together in this hilarious, fun, witty and sexy story comes to life. I can't wait to see what comes next!

I know this doesn't come out for quite sometime, so how can I rate it 5 stars? Well, this is one of my "go to" authors. Her quick wit, intelligent characters, well-developed plot lines and fresh voice are present in all of her works, and this will be no different. Any rating less before you read it is doing both the author and yourself a discredit. Love this perfectly naughty series.

If you're debating on whether or not to buy this book, don't even hesitate click buy now and I promise you that you will be so glad you did. Saranna has an amazing talent of writing characters that are sarcastic, real, hot and full of emotion. The heat between Cara and Alex and what happens in between I can promise you is not to be missed. Buy this book! I absolutely loved it!

The story of Tully is so wonderfully amazing. There are scenes such as in Chapter 25, that are so well-written that they play through your head like on a big screen and you know that if ever given the chance, they would live just as fabulously there as they do on the page. I have waited so long to read this book and it was so very worth the wait.
