Nothing is worse than flouncing and having no one follow you begging you to come back. It's as bad as wanting to fight and then having your partner be all *reasonable.* This is what has happened to our heroine, a nurse married 12 years to an ER doctor, the hero. She left him after he missed their anniversary. She took her two children to London to stay with her brother. It's been two months and the hero has not asked her to return.

They do return to their home in the Lake District at the children's request. It's Christmas and they want to be together for the holiday.

SM does a great job showing how lack of communication and the normal wear and tear of daily life can take its toll on a marriage. That this very self-absorbed hero is the last to realize anything is wrong is no surprise. The author does a good job of describing the seduction of the ER when the heroine helps out for two weeks while there is a flu epidemic. It makes the hero more understandable, but I still didn't like him. He was too cold and controlling for me.

But there was some delicious angst, so it was worth the read. This is one of those HEAs where I'm happy the heroine is happy.

I would hope that now their marriage is settled, these two will parent their children. The older girl was 11 going on 30 and a bully to boot. I hated how she strong-armed her 7 year-old brother into breaking the spare bed and spilling juice on the sofa so the H/h would have to sleep together. I guess this was supposed to be amusing in a Parent Trap kind of way. The kid was very distressed at knowingly doing something wrong, but he couldn't stand up to his sister. That's a problem.

It was just ok. I usually like Sarah Morgan books, but as is usual in her medical romances, this one gets bogged down with too much medical detail. I found myself skimming all those parts, so, effectively I had half a book.

There was not enough effort by the characters to resolve their issues, I’m assuming they will do this after the book ending. They had good chemistry so that was a plus.

All in all good enough to pass the time, but not one of Ms Morgan’s better efforts.

also on the cover the child looks like a toddler while in the story, their children are aged 11 and 7 😳

After 12 years of marriage and two children, Christy’s husband spends all his time at the hospital and with the exception of the bedroom she never sees him. Alessandro is passionate and possessive and so when she leaves him in an attempt to shake him up, for him to take notice and see her as a woman, not merely a wife and mother, she honestly expects him to come after her and drag her home. Unfortunately that doesn’t happen, so she becomes convinced that he no longer loves her. It takes the machinations of her daughter to get her home for Christmas and the interference of a close friend to get them communicating again.

Somehow, I have a whole bunch of Sarah Morgan Christmas romances on my Kindle from years ago. Were they free? Part of a big sale bundle? I have no idea but I'm reading them all because Big Family Happenings mean I have no brain power and it's still before Thanksgiving, so I don't want to start reading "real" Christmas books. But these are on the Kindle and they're short and fluffy and pretty bad, so they don't count.

Meh. I normally love Sarah Morgan, but this book didn’t work for me. Too much miscommunication had me yelling, “Talk to each other!” at my Kindle.

Sleigh Bells in the Snow was much better if you’re looking for a Christmas read from this author.

This was a good angsty read. I liked the romance and the how they worked towards their problems. I also liked the kids antics, but the jarring note in this was that the hero and heroine's daughter acted way older that she was.

Für eine Kurzgeschichte war das ganze wirklich sehr gut. Ich mochte die Charaktere und auch das Drama. Obwohl letzeres bestimmt nicht für jedermann etwas ist, weil es hier doch übertrieben viele Missverständnisse und Fehlinterpretationen zwischen den Charakteren gibt. Die Kinder der beiden waren ein super Bonus. Sie waren sehr lustig und die Große (11) versucht alles um ihre Eltern wieder zusammen zu bekommen. Zur Abwechslung war es wirklich einmal schön, nicht von einer ganz neuen Liebe zu lesen, sondern von einer Ehe in der es kriselt und die gerettet werden muss. Die Nebencharaktere waren ebenfalls sehr interessant - vor allem die Kollegen der beiden aus der Notaufnahme und dem Bergretterteam. Diese Szenen auf Arbeit wurden richtig toll beschrieben. Ein Nebencharakter hat es mir besonders angetan - Jake, der beste Freund der beiden. Ich habe bereits entdeckt, dass es zu ihm ebenfalls ein Kurzgeschichte gibt. Die muss ich unbedingt lesen. Ich kann dieses Ebook wirklich jedem empfehlen, der gern Contemporary mit Beziehungsdrama und vielen Emotionen liebt.

This is the first story of two in one book republication "Wish Upon a Star" so thought I'd review separately for those that find individually. I couldn't quite make up my mind about the main female role Christy one minute I liked her and could relate to her situation within her marriage and then her character would do something that infuriated me, as for her husband Allesandro he definitely got on my nerves I just wanted to slap him into the 21st century thank goodness his daughter was around to advise him a little into the workings of a woman's mind she was definitely my favourite character.

An enjoyable read. I love the rescue team at the Lake District.
Alessandro, the Spanish hero in this book, is hot and delicious! Christy is fabulous - strong, intelligent and capable. However, both hero and heroine needed a good slap! They didn't communicate clearly even though they were both crazy about each other. The kids in this story were fabulous and conversations with and between them hilarious!

I like Sarah Morgan a lot but I stumbled up on a copy of this one in Icelandic at my parents house and it was so awfully translated that it totally ruined the story for me (usually read in English on my Kindle).

This is amy first Sarah Morgan book and I enjoyed the characters. Their insecurities were pretty real - as was their lack of ability to communicate. Loved the kids as characters too. Lots of fun!
