(Book description for Double Blind)
“Hannah Alexander is a great storyteller. She is on my must-buy list!” Colleen Coble
Will solving the mystery of her mother’s death risk her own life?
Sheila Metcalf’s life is falling apart. She’s lost her nursing job, is at an impossible impasse with her almost perfect boyfriend, and is haunted by new nightmares about her mother’s unexplained death when Sheila was ten. When two longtime friends are killed in a fire, she must face her fears and return to her childhood home deep in Navajoland.
Preston Black can’t win with Sheila. If he doesn’t keep her from plunging into danger, she could die, but if he does anything to stop her, he could lose her forever. When Preston learns of Sheila’s hostile reception at the Navajo boarding school on the reservation in Arizona, he must protect her no matter the consequences.
Why do the Navajo children fear the wolf? What’s causing the recent illnesses and deaths? When Sheila and Preston dig to find the truth, what they uncover is far worse than what they’d imagined. Evil will do anything to make sure the light of truth never penetrates the darkness.

Nice to find a Christian based series, reflecting their struggles and growth.
Hannah Alexander has provided a suspense novel with a wide range of characters and multiple lines of mystery. Who is the killer? who is the snitch? is the star really ill ? Who is in love and who just needs to get ahead in the business at any cost? This book is good for the I love suspense but not nail biting thrillers readers. The characters have some depth and you will love getting to know them, even those you hate!
I hated to see this book end and hope to see a sequel in the future.
If you want a good suspense, read one of this author’s books! It will keep your attention from the first minute! This one gives a powerful message about how God forgives us and helps us to forgive others. Very well done, as always!
This a quick book to read, but with a little depth as well regarding forgiveness, revenge, and truthfulnesses. Grace was a very enjoyable character, and I enjoyed seeing her grow and change. Several storylines included tension, murder, or danger, which kept it interesting.
An unusual gift arrived at the theater in Branson where Grace Brennan and Michael Gold are performing. The music box contains a sinister note. She tries to brush it off as a simple prank, but when more odd gifts show up and the director of the show winds up dead, she begins to wonder if she is going a little crazy.
So many things are happening around Grace that she begins to doubt what God's plan is for her, where He wants her to be.
This was a great read. I like the way the mystery unfolds and the characters are developed. I believe this is part of a series, but not quite sure where it fits. If it is part of a series it works great as a stand alone story.
I think I am going to check out some of the other novels by this author.
Note of Peril was a book that you could see happening in real life. Hideaway is a small town not to far from Branson and the hometown of two very confused singers, songwriter and want to be doctor. Murder, poisoning, jealousy, forgiveness, and the love of Jesus are all packed on the pages. Read, you will enjoy.
