This story was recorded by a Japanese woman (Yasuko Naito), who married a Khmer diplomat. They live in Phnom Penh, rich and comfortable. But everything changed when the Communist Party of Kampuchea came to power. Through this diary, she shared the hardships of life. People were dying every day, including her husband, son and daughter. Old people and children are subjected to inhumane labor. The people were starving but there was no food. She lives like hell on earth. Shows that war has never been useful before. But instead took people's lives including culture and prosperity to disappear as well.
